the only down side for me was that it only has outside entries to the rooms. I don't like that, especially when i have to walk outdoors to get to the breakfast area and it's raining. Room was very nice, clean, updated, very soft towels. Very well done. GREAT FIND!! WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE TO FIND SUCH A NICE HOTEL. I WAS ON A BUSINESS TRIP AND JUST NEEDED A ROOM. GREAT ERVICE. NICE BREAKFAST. REALLY NICE ROOM. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN WHEN I'M IN THE AREA.

We stayed here to spend time in downtown Portsmouth. The location of the hotel is nearby downtown, but it is a ~15 - 20 minute walk. We didn't want to worry about finding a parking spot downtown. It would have been nicer to stay closer though. Really liked the receptionist. She gave us a free upgrade to suite because we needed to check in early and […] no other rooms were ready. The picture makes this look like a beautiful, quaint little Inn and there is nothing in the description that would make you think otherwise. Until you arrived. This is a dated motel on an extremely busy 4-lane road and it is not even close to the downtown area of Portsmouth with all its shops and restaurants. Skip this one.

So much better than chain hotels!

The room was very quaint and cozy. The hotel is very conveniently located right off of the traffic circle. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel made my stay in Portsmouth very nice.

Our second stay was just as great as the first one. So much better than the chain hotels.

The Port Inn was the ideal stay for a girls' getaway! The location was easy for being in downtown Portsmouth, the box stores and back on 95 to go to Maine in minutes. The Port Inn was easy to find -- at any hour! Our room was perfect: a fridge, microwave and a large bathroom ( necessity for a girls' weekend!). I agree with another reviewer that there is need for better sound=proofing between the rooms. I stayed in a basement and heard not only every move of above neighbors, but voices as well. Stayed above and heard every move of the next door neighbors moving in when I had been asleep. It's a sweet place, but this could be a big problem with even noisier […] neighbors. 더 보기

An unexpectedly good stay at this family run hotel, the room was compact and the breakfast excellent. A really good location for travellers too. Go for it!! Well done Port Inn.

This is a middle of the road accomodation, but easy access for travelers. For those wanting to enjoy the vibrant downtown, with lots of good restaurants, it is only a five to 10 minute drive.

Good: Nice modern room, lots of amenites Bad: Very annoying footsteps heard from room above Nothing but sweets at breakfast You need to drive to town.

GPS cannot locate the address on US Route address. Port Hotel is aware of this. Hotels.com needs to contact them and include the side street that runs along the hotel for clients who use a GPS. We finally had to call the hotel after 45 minutes of being re-routed in the rain. Hotel was updated very well, however the ceiling needed to be painted. I love this hotel. It was immaculate and the staff was so pleasant. They have a cute outdoor patio and a nice continental breaskfast. I can't wait to go back!

The hotel was a real delight, nice people , lovely decor in the rooms, great situation close to the city. Highly recommend this Business to anyone. It had just won Best Business in town and we witnessed why. We will go back.

We were recommended the Port Inn for part of our New England trip by friends who always stay there when they go from UK for their trips. We would make a point of staying there again ourselves if we do another trip to the region. All the staff friendly and efficient, room super comfy, complimentary breakfast had lots of choice.

The rooms were great - had everything we needed. My only complaint was the lack of a breakfast room for the continental breakfast service. The food was very good but unfortunately there was no seating room. Clean and friendly inn /motel. Close to Portsmouth although a good walk, a car is really necessary to get into town. The rooms were spotless although some face towards the road and are noisy despite what the management claim. Close drive to downtown area. Very charming - manager was extremely friendly and answered all of our questions (and calling our room to followup if there was anything else we needed). Great customer service and the room provided everything we needed. Better than average continental breakfast.

Easy on/off location. We stayed one night. Great spot to stop at after flying into Boston Logan en route north. Our room was very clean and there was a nice cold breakfast bar in the morning with extra outdoor seating. Very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely book a room there again.

A wonderful little find in most fun city in NH. Close to the downtown scene, right off the highway and as lovely and clean as a whistle. And just a short ride to the beach! I'll be back.

This is a lovely hotel with a great setting. Very quiet and serene. Staff was extremely helpful in giving me directions to town. Fresh coffee / tea are available 24 hours a day. This was a small, convenient, spotless, comfortable hotel. We wish we had had more time to stay, visit downtown Portsmouth and enjoy the room. We were pressed for time and found the restaurant recommendation, Dinnerhorn, to be perfect for a great dinner. I look forward to going back on our way to Maine.

I was pleasantly surprised when we stayed at the Port Inn. Very clean, newly remodeled. Only five minutes from historic downtown Portsmouth. A keeper.

My mom and I were travelling to NH and booked here for two nights. We based our decision on the reviews and we were not disappointed. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice - especially if you could sit outside. I would stay here again.

This is really quite a nice motel. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. The seasonal outdoor pool is lovely. The continental breakfast was above average in quality and choices. We were quite pleased.

I thought the operator was friendly and warm, Rooms were clean and tidy. Comfortable beds but the bath room's tub looked dirty and looked like it was missed in the cleaning.

The location of the Port Inn is wonderful if you want easy access to I-95 and/or Route 1 to explore the area. The room was clean, the service wonderful, and they let us check in early so that we could get ready for a late afternoon wedding. Breakfast by the pool was nice too. I highly recommend this motel.

Very comfortable & affordable place to stay. Everyone was helpful & pleasant. Rooms were small put had every amenity you would need. Would definatly stay again if in the area.

Hotel is convenient to all Maine points, Kittery, York, Berwicks; NH points, Rye, New Castle, Portsmouth, Dover, Newington, Newmarket. Nice pool area. Staff very helpful! We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back for our 3rd visit in August
