This hotel used to be the "Davao Insular Hotel" and had an excellent ranking before the "Waterfront" chain acquired it.This place has been around for a long time and while the landscaping and the beachfront atmosphere remain great, the hotel itself has not been upgraded to a level consistent with a hotel of a similar rating. our experience in waterfront hotel is great...i didnt expect too much but when we got there our expectation exceed to the highest level....the hotel is clean&fresh,the surrounding area of the hotel felt like your away in paradise...food is great,there b'fast is so yummy, staff is great, highly recommended to all especially young family

The staff working in this hotel are all very polite and attentive. The appear so cheerful and helpful and this is so refreshing. They add sunshine to the guests. One major disappointment though is the absence of an 'activities desk' at the lobby. The desk would have helped guest organise activities like trekking, sight-seeing, island hoping and sea […] sports. Guests are left to fend for themselves in locating these activities elsewhere. This proved time-consuming. The beach area could do a little sprucing up too. It was deserted during my visit. That was a shame considering the fact that the hotel looked very well kept. 더 보기

Although a little way out of town, the hotel was like an oasis, with manicured lawns and gardened. The room I had was large and spacious and extremely comfortable. The facililities; swimming pool and dinning areas were excellent. The staffs were always very pleasant greeting you with a smile and greeting. Excellent staff especially the security and wait staff at the bfast buffet. They were extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms were adequate and clean and its a very low key and peaceful resort. The pool is a bit small but deep (10 ft). I found my breakfast really enjoyable looking at the beach every morning and its only about 120 pesos for a cab […] downtown. This was my second visit to this hotel and only for 3 Nights where as last time was a long period. Unfortunetly nothing has changed in fact I would say that the service was even worse than last time. The hotel uses trainee staff who have to attain so many hours for grauduation without pay and therefore not really interested in guests but only interested […] in obtaining their hours. Years ago this was the best hotel in Davao City but now there are many many hotels far better and cheaper than the Insular. The only reason I would stay here again is for the peace / gardens and views of the gulf estuary. Very expensive for what you get. 더 보기

Five star rating in my opinion. Room excelent.. The staff polite friendly and helpful. Four resturants to choose from. Close to airport. Highly recommended.

You have to appreciate that this Hotel is located in a Third World country. Neighbourhood, outside Hotel Compound, is not clean, and buildings are seriously below first world standards. Hotel staff are very friendly, and will go out of their way to assist. It says it has a private beach well that's true but it does not tell you it is unsuitable for swimming. It says has fitness center well no fitness center. It has a great swimming pool but only if you can swim as the shallow end is 5ft. Food and drink is very expensive and menu does not change very often. The scenery around this hotel is amazing and that still does not do this place justice. The staff at this place will make you feel like you are royalty. I will have to say that the internet didn't work for 2 days and the one day it did work it was extreemly slow. The bath tub had a rubber stopper that didn't do a very good job of plugging the tub. The […] bathroom sink's drain opening was jammed and I could not free it up. I was forced to shave and leave the dirty water in the basin. When came back to the room they did resolve the issue by removing the mechanical drain opener but I no longer had the ability to fill the basin with water. The food at the resturants was amazing and the bars were very well kept. I wouldn't normally complain about the small issues I had with the bathroom but for the amount of money this place charges for rooms, one should not encounter these types of issues. 더 보기

If you can get through the front desk without pulling your hair out you will find on the hole that this hotel is good for relaxation. Apart from reception the only other concern is the housekeeping. especially the cleaning of the bathroon and toilet, Food and drink are expensive in the hotel but one is supposed to be in a good class hotel but one does […] question it at times. The hotel is well located, has a very pleasant staff, good rooms and in room services, and a couple of good in-house restaruants with a superb breaksfast buffet. there was a puddle water inside the room and it happned to be that it was leaky airconditioning we called it in but no one really came to fix it the bathtub drainage is so slow and it looks bad coz of the stain in it, we were approched of one of the security guard at the back area of the building bu the ocean and told us that if we need anything that […] we should let him kno coz he is the boss there will take care of it and offered us someone to take take of us on a water on a tour and was charging us P1,000 for an hour. Another incident was when we asked the security in the front of the building for a cab . We were waiting for him while he was talking to the cab driver his body was halfway inside the front seat of the cab and when we approached the cab we saw the driver handing him some money and when we got to the mallthe taxi driver was over charging us. and when we toldhim about it he said that his meter must be broken just give me P100 pesos and we can call it even. The receptionist were kinda of rude and unfriendly but at the restaurant everyone there was really nice always asking if they could be of help and turn out to be a nice breakfast. NO elevators at the facility and no bellservice to be found we have to carry our luggages by ourselfes and the walk is kinda of long and i dont feel safe at all specially the security system was really bad and also unfriendly most of the worker needs some peoples skills 더 보기

Hotel stuff very nice and kind. they make me very comfortable. And in side hotel nice view. especially breakfast is very good. It is a buffet style and all-you-can-eat. But Thinking recently cannot wipe feeling that equipment has become old.

Nice hotel, got an upgrade...nice. Nice staff,good service a very friendly...There was a bittroubleto make phonecalls from the room, and internet didnt really work very well, so I didnt have to pay for that...

１．過去10年間に数回滞在したが、清掃状況が驚くほど改善した。以前は、棚でも窓のサッシュでも埃だらけだった。 ２．朝食のビュッフェもメニュー、清潔レベルともに改善した。以前はまずいサラダ中心でしかも、レタスにはドロがついているというような不潔なものだったが、今回はレタスをよく洗ってあることが明らかであった。もっとも、熱帯で無理にレタスを食べることには疑問がある。中華風の暖かいスープ、熱帯の果物など、寄生虫の心配をしなくてすむ良いメニューが並んでいたことが良い。 ３．ガードマンが常に巡回していたことも以前には無かったことである。スタッフが宿泊客に積極的に挨拶したり、荷物運びに手を添えたりする働きぶりも改善の例である。 ４．プールの水が不潔で、悪臭がした。改善すべき。 ５．以前は、テラスに出てゆ […] っくりと南国の空気を楽しめたが、今回は引き戸を開けてテラスに出ることができなかったので改善の必要がある。 더 보기

ホテルのスタッフは行儀よく、しっかりと仕事をしていました。ビーチ近くで朝早く散歩するならお薦めです。部屋は中の上ぐらいでしょうか。アメニティはひげ剃りと歯ブラシがあったのが良かったです。近隣のコンビニには簡単に行けず、夜は危険だと聞きました。ルームサービスばかり使うのも気が引けますが、氷や水はもっと自由になればありがたかったです。

どうしてもダバオに行く必要ができてしまい、全く予備知識がなく泊まりました。参考になるものが全くなかったので、その一助となればと思います。　良かったところとしては、ロケーションとのんびり感。泳げないながら、海が目の前にあり、庭も手入れされていて良かったです。物価が相対的に安いかと思うので、金額は日本のホテルの半額くらいの値ごろ感でした。好みもあると思いますが、中庭にあるオープンエアのレストランでシーフードを選択して作ってもらった有頭エビのディープフライのブラックビーンソースはおいしかったです。それから、ルームサービスのフライドポテトはおいしかったです。 設備面に不安を持ちながら行ったのですが、一通り、アメニティはすべて揃っていました。パワーは弱いながら、ドライヤーもあったのでよかったです。男性 […] のひげそりは、私が宿泊した際にはありませんでした。 不満の点。サービスで置かれているはずのお水がなく、しかたなく、冷蔵庫のお水を飲みました。２泊したうちの１日は置かれていたので、そのことをお話しましたが、全く取り付くしまがなく請求をうけたこと。金額的には些少なので大したことではないのですが、非常に嫌な感じがのこりました。 朝食バイキングが付いていましたが、満足度は低かったです。ルームサービスのピザ、パスタについても、お勧めできません。 あと、全体的に私には下水？なのか建物が古いことによるカビ的なものの匂いなのか、匂いが気になったので、 お香やルームフレグランスを持参していなかったら、つらかったかと思います。 더 보기
