Good hotel. A lot of nearby restaurants. Convenient to Eastern Pittsburgh.

We chose this hotel because of the flat screen tvs that appear in their room review photographs. We paid a more money to stay at a hotel that featured flat screens because it was our intention to stay in our room and enjoy watching our team play in the NCAA Final Four. To our disappointment, we were given a room that did not feature a flat screen TV, […] instead we watched our team, Ohio State University, in the NCAA Final Four on what appeared to be an approximately 15-16" screen old box tv set (have photo of television in our room). Upon our discovery when we arrived, we politely asked about a room with a flat screen, they replied that they didn't have flat screens. After a moment of hesitancy when the clerk could sense our disappointment, the desk clerk said, "We have some flat screens, just no rooms are available with them". There were 15 cars, including ours in the lot. The hotel was not at fifty percent capacity. I am curious what the percentage is of flat screens in their hotel. I had the choice of other hotels, but I chose to pay more for this convenience. Don't be fooled if you are betting on television viewing pleasure on a flat screen. Hotels... don't advertise it if you cannot offer it. Disappointed Ohio State fan. 더 보기

It was extremely hard to find. Even with GPS. You can't see it from the main street and the desk person had a very heavy foreign accent & was of little help. You must put a large sign on the berm at the main intersection on the main road. Thanks

I have stayed at many hotels in this chain. Unfortunately this hotel had the most uncomfortable bed. It was loud, hard, and would not "give" at all. In the end I had to sleep in the recliner just to try to relieve the back pain I experienced as a result. I will not be returning to this particular location.

Bed was very hard but sheets & pillows good. It was almost clean - they missed some corners/cobwebs. Windows were old but could be opened which I like. Staff was nice. A mixed bag - but good price. Primanti's next door was great. One caution - my GPS could not find this hotel.

The hotel is in bad condition, its priced high so expected the same for service but the carpets inside the lobby were smelling, checked into the room horrible smell, changed room and same , would never go back to the hotel

I had a reservation for a non-smoking room through Hotels.com However on arrival was told that there were only smoking rooms available. After much discussion, we were provided 1 room with smoking and 1 with non-smoking to allow kids who could not bear the smoking to stay in the non-smoking room. This room was very basic, which is probably the case with most Extended Stay America rooms. I expected much more than we got considering the price we paid and the hotels.com description of ammenities. Problems: 1) Internet access was an extra five dollar charge 2) The room most definitely stunk--cigarrettes and dirty clothes seemed to have left their […] marks. 3) Loud parking lot celebrations--young men (long term hotel guests) having barbecues and drinking near their cars in the evening. The room was large and comfortable. I liked having a full-sized refrigerator in the room. There was plenty of storage space for groceries, and there were pots and pans, even though we didn't cook anything with them. The room also had a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave, which made breakfasts very easy. I did notice cobwebs on the light next to the […] bed. Otherwise the room was clean. The hotel was next to another business that had closed, so that made the area somewhat dark, but there is a restaurant next door, as well, that seemed to be very popular. Everything about the hotel was fine, except getting there. Their sign was not lit up at night on the road, therefore not indicating the driveway to turn into. This caused quite a few problems in just getting there. During the day the sign would be visible. Just be careful when trying to get there when it's dark.

The stuff was uncooperative and made a fool of customer,not recommend this hotel.

Was conveniently located 5 miles from an event I had the next morning. Hotel is in decent condition. Sufficient for a person who is simply in need of some sleep without any luxuries. The best part of the trip is that Primanti Bros Restaurant is located right next door. Overall good experience

My stay was short ...just a long weekend visiting relatives. For the rate, you do get what you pay for. The staff was friendly, but the hotel & rooms are a bit out of date. They don't have ice machines since they have a kitchenette that has 2 little ice cube trays in the freezer. If you plan on using the kitchen, I hope you packed up your cooking gear […] - what little utensils they had looked very dirty and old. And they do not have a cork screw...so bring yours if you enjoy a glass of wine! I had to man-handle the key in order to open the door to my room...then the key would get stuck in the slot. Minor inconvenience. The TV remote Volume button didn't work and the TV itself looked as if were from the mid to late 80's. Another minor inconvenience. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, but again...I was only in the room for short periods. I selected this hotel due to the rates, availability and being pet-friendly. I would stay there again. impossible to find the hotel. first call to the hotel gave me directions that were in error and had me heading into pittsburgh. finally, with gps and second call (differnt person) found the hotel. very exasperating.

We stayed in another hotel earlier that week and the room was tiny and my parents got sick. This place was clean and much more spacious. The only thing I can think of that would need improving is the lack of a covered lobby entrance, it was pouring down rain when we were leaving, and the key cards are kind of a pain, but still a very nice hotel especially […] for the price. 더 보기

We arrived after dinner, and the front desk person seemed a little rushed, but answered our questions about the room and checkout. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and about 10:30 (when I had to go to bed, since I had a professional exam at 8 AM), someone was STOMPING in the room above us, and we could hear the water running and toilet flushing […] in the next room...so much for sound proofing!! The bed itself was not bad, and after I turned the TV on the cover up the other noise, I did get to sleep. Stayed here for 1 night. Asked for a non-smoking room and the room clearly smelled like a smoking room. I asked to be roomed near some other guests and the front desk employee couldn't rearrange the rooms. The rooms were reasonably clean and considering the lower rates, the rooms were comfortable enough. Great if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel room near to Pittsburgh downtown.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The size of the room was fine. The amenties were really lacking. There is no hair dryer,which in this day and age is shocking. The bed was extremley hard. There were only 2 pillows on the bed and no extra in the closet. The kitchenette was really lacking in amenities. No teaspoons and only 2 forks, knives, and […] no larger spoons. Also they do not have a business center. They do have wifi if you have your own computer. Which I don't have a lap top and needed to use computer acess. I was told there is a library in town. first i was placed in a non-smoking room that reaked of ciggarette smoke. then i was moved to a room next to an exit which woke me up every 5 minutes. i used to like extended stay.

We actually passed the hotel entrance, which is actually the entrance to the now closed Roth Carpet store. After that, the experience was very positive. Nice room layout and the staff was very accommodating.

wonderful friendly Staff

The staff of the hotel was wonderful. The only thing that I was surprised by was that there was not a hair dryer in the room. I haver gotten into the habit of packing light and never bring a hair dryer since I haven't stayed in a hotel without one if forever. My own error but i was surprised.

I have stayed here twice now and staff are always pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious, I like the recliner to sit and relax. Bed a little hard.

Nothing super-exciting or outstanding, but a solid location, good condition, no major complaints. One issue: we bought a bottle of wine that we were planning to have back in the room. The kitchen didn't have a corkscrew and neither did the front desk. How is this something that's not available at a hotel?

As a global business consultant, I stay in hotels approx. four nights a week and this was one of the worst - hotel staff rude - dirty room - horrible room decor - small tv set - no breakfast - overall terrible experience

It was a nice hotel, but the bed was hard and not that comfortable.

Extended Stay in America Pittsburgh-Monroeville is a very clean hotel. The furnishings left a lot to be desired. There were only 2 pillows on the bedding and the blankets were too thin. Our checkout was at 11 AM and 15 minutes later we were called to verify checkout.
