Good hotel with great service. Modern, clean and comfortable.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The service is very good and their restaurant has good food. It's also convenient if you take a train to Sapa as it is within 10 min walking distance of the train station. Moevenpick Hotel Hanoi is very conveniently located and we had no trouble getting access to all important sightseeing places. Rooms are large and well insulated from the street noise. However breakfasts and internet are only available with extra charge. Staff very helpful and professional. Good place to stay when in Hanoi.

This is a clean business oriented hotel in a descent location. A bit of a walk to the old quarter but close enough. The staff are very nice and the rooms are clean but a little small. Unfortunately the food and wifi are shockingly overpriced.

The Moevenpick has replaced the former Guoman Hotel. I think this was a fairly recent rebranding, as my 2008 guidebook still lists the Guoman at this address. The public spaces and rooms have been recently renovated and are of 5-star quality. My entry-level king room was nicely furnished with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was also newly […] refurbished, and I particularly loved the rainfall showerhead and marble shower seat. Both the bedroom and bathroom were a bit on the small side, but certainly more than adequate for a single traveller, and as I said this was the entry-level room. I didn't try the restaurant or spa, but they both looked quite nice from what I could see. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I had was that the hotel charged $3/hour for internet access. I find this practice annoying enough in developed countries, but in a place like Vietnam where the cost to the hotel must be minimal I think it's absurd to charge for internet. For the record, the Sofitel Plaza where I stayed on my previous Hanoi trip had free internet access in the rooms and public spaces. The location is a bit unusual, being southwest of the Hoan Kiem district near the train station, whereas most upscale Western hotels are around the opera house or farther north by West Lake. That being said, the location is ideal for tourists, with Hoa Lo prison a block east, the Temple of Literature a few blocks west, and the Hoan Kiem district about a five minute walk north. The train station is literally around the corner, and the Vietnam Airlines airport minibus drops off nearby, although you should beware of the taxis waiting at the dropoff point as most of them are scam artists. Catch one from Mai Linh or CP Taxis which have reliable meters, or walk the 4 blocks to this hotel if you don't have a lot of luggage. When leaving the hotel, the doorman marks down the number of your cab and gives a stern warning to the driver in Vietnamese to ensure you aren't "taken fo 더 보기

I stayed here in November 2011 and while it is a very clean, comfortable hotel, it's probably more suited to business users who can just put Breakfast and Wi-Fi on company credit cards. If you're holidaying in Vietnam, then my recommendation would be to stay at a more local, budget hotel and treat some of the shortfalls as part of the charm :-)

Nice hotel, good gym. anywhere is Hanoi is a challenge but there are some good restaurants nearby and staff does thier best to help.

Location wasn't that convenient, better take a taxi to go wherever you go! Mangosteen, their buffer wasn't impressive at all (they didn't even have major sauce for pho, very narrow choice of menu) 19$ of breakfast wasn't worth But, they are all mostly kind and helpful.. Very convenient hotel with nice and professional staff. Defenitely one of the best hotel in Hanoi.

This is a very comfortable hotel, right in the center of Hanoi. It's walkable to almost all of the points of interest. The Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake are about 10 minutes walk, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and One-Pillar Pagoda are about 15 minutes. The Army Museum, Flag Tower, and Lenin Park are also about 10 minutes away, as is the Temple of […] Literature and Fine Art Museum. The food is phenomenal (try the Mushroom Risotto, Club Sandwich, or Nasi Goreng) and there are also a few great restaurants in the office building/shopping mall right next door. Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton) is just two blocks away and is an easy way to kill a few hours during the day. 더 보기

I would recommend this hotel based on its Breakfast Buffet alone. They have a restaurant for all day dining called Mangosteen on the second floor and their breakfast buffet was a real highlight of my stay there. In addition, the concierge was very helpful while I was making reservations for my onward travel. The staff was excellent (helpful, good grasp of English, friendly, professional), the gym was perfect, and the room was luxurious. The location, though a short walk from the Old Quarter and lake, was only a $1 cab ride away.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for one night and it was wonderful! The rooms were very well appointed and huge for center city. The staff was equally as great helping us to snag dinner reservations in the city and always accommodating to our requests. I'd highly recommend it. This is an excellent place to stay in Hanoi! The hotel appears pretty new and everything is in good shape. Everything was clean and the decoration was great (very modern). Service was good, although not everybody appeared to have the answers to simple questions. The walls between the rooms did not shield every noise, but we couldn't hear the street […] noise. Breakfast was not included in our room rate and quite expensive, but the food was very good and ranged from American to Vietnamese - something for everyone. The only complaint we'd have is that upon check-out, we were asked to pay for room service that we never had. Actually, we signed a bill for breakfast in the restaurant which had an extra charge for room service (which we did not notice at that time). However, the misunderstanding could be resolved and we did not have to pay the extra money in the end, although it took some time and discussing. It was partly our fault because we did not pay enough attention when signing the bill - we think it was a mistake and not an attempted scam, but it can never hurt to check carefully what you actually sign for. 더 보기

This is an attractive and pleasant hotel.We were particularly impressed by the diligence of the reception staff who went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable,with helpful advice on local sights and in organising a tour of the city for us with a local guide and driver.The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.We only made use of the restaurant […] once for breakfast.The selection of buffet items was good,but probably more than we wanted at the fixed price,but we found other places to eat within easy reach of the hotel for lighter bites.All in all the Moevenpick proved a good experience.Highly recommended. 더 보기

Hotel was in a really good location in the Old Quarter. Easy to walk to main attractions and shopping district. Staff were really polite and helpful and my room was lovely.

Moevenpick has exceeded my expectations..from our room, amenities, staff and location. Our room was on the 11th floor with good city views, bathroom was exceptionally topnotch (rainforest shower, tv volume, glass window separating bath from bedroom..etc), bed was comfortable, and whoever decorated this room has a very artistic taste of colors and decoration. Use […] of gym was free for hotel guests with more than enough new equipments. Suana and shower room was also available. Use of computer was reasonably priced. Staff was present and readily available when needed. I liked the idea that this hotel was not in the busy city area. A few cafe's and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. Too bad that Moevenpick does not have a complimentary breakfast. Quan An Ngon (which means 'delicious restaurant') is one of my favorites and highly recommended by locals..very cheap and you will really get a taste of vienamese food. This place is packed with tourists and locals esp. for lunch and dinner. Hotel staff are so polite, welcoming, and always has a smile on their faces. 더 보기

Most things about this hotel are good but $17 for breakfast irrespective of whether you want a glass of orange and a yoghurt or the full works is a bit steep. I would stay ther again then.

タイトル通り彼女と一緒に宿泊されるならこのホテルをおすすめします。 チェックインはHotels.comから送信された英語版のメールを提示して宿泊票にサインするだけですんなり完了しました。 部屋は然程広い訳ではありませんが、センスの良い内装で清潔感も◎でした。 シャワーのみでバスタブは無い部屋でしたが何の問題もありませんでした。 床は黒い板張りに絨毯が敷いてあり、他のホテルとはちょっと違い趣があって良かったです。ホテル自体もそんなに大きい方ではないと思いますが、洒落た外観に内装と思い出に残る旅行に最適と思われます。 立地はホアンキエム湖まで徒歩圏内ですから観光にショッピングに便利だと思われます。

Ottima ubicazione. A breve distanza dal Quartiere vecchio, alcuni luoghi d'interesse, la stazione etc. Struttura di gusto e non decisamente turistica, Direzione e personale estremamente attenti e disponibili.

Nyoppusset hotell der alt var nytt og rent. Veldig hyggelig betjening. God massasje og bra treningsrom - vi koste oss stort her. Litt stive priser i restauranten, men det var god mat.
