The hotel is set up as a local conference center, spectacular views and great weather, this time at least. Food was good and the bar staff were friendly. The only drawbacks were that there is no elevator and the rooms above 200 were a long walk from the reception desk. Ive stayed at the langstone before and was disappointed how quickly the standard of the room had deminished. The fan in the bathroom was broken, the air con was extremely noisy, the tv was so out of date, nothing in the mini-bar, the LAN connection didn't work. On the upside it's a clean hotel with a comfortable bed nice bar and restaurant but I'd struggle […] to find too many more good points. 더 보기

Our room was very nice, large and modern. The shower is quite an experience. There are many shower jets spraying every direction. There is only a 1/2 glass partitioning it from the rest of the room so be prepared to have water and steam every where but it was a nice experience. In my room there was mould/staining around the bath, the glasses obviously hadn't been cleaned properly, and the heating/air con kept me awake. In the restaurant in the morning there were no staff, and when they eventually appeared I had to ask them for my coffee, nobody offered it to me. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, […] also the room service was brilliant, and they went out of their way to help me. Stayed at Langstone loads of times, really nice hotel there is everything you need, but, this time our room was lovely, only the shower was a bit tempermental and the hot tap on the sink was stuck, so no hot water! other than that it was a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Langstone Hotel Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The hotel is beautifully clean and in a lovely location. The room was very comfortable and clean and we had a very pleasant stay. The only downfall, which I will put down to the time of the year, was our evening meal. The starter was ok but the main course of sirloin steak in black pepper […] sauce was very dsappointing. We both agreed that there couldn't have been a proper chef in place that evening as we were not asked how we would like our steak . When we enquired we were told we could either have it well done or medium and it couldn't be cooked medium rare. When the steaks arrived, my husband's was twice the size of mine (for the same price), it was tough and it came with gravy, rather than the pepper sauce as advertised. We both felt very disaapointed and ripped off but couldn't be bothered to complain, so that's our fault really. We must stress that we have eaten here on numerous occassions and the food has been fairly good. 더 보기

Room was small to start with, the lighting did not work and was "sparking" - as we were on a tight deadline we did not have time to change the room, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. When we complained to reception before we went out, we were promised that the room would be made safe by our return and the manager would speak to us in […] the morning. On our return nothing had been done in the room and the track lighting was still faulty. When I checked out in the morning I was not even asked if the stay had been ok and when i asked to speak to the manager I was told he was unavailble and to write to him - a response has still not be recieved - disgusting service!!!!! 더 보기

Stayed 2 nights generally a good experience. Excellent value for money. Two slight moans - bed may have had bugs as we both had several bites. Secondly desk staff could have been more knowledgeable. Did not know whether ferry was running. These asside would go there again.

Overall not bad as long your expectations are not super high. Good location, helpful staff, decent breakfast (we had it early-ish at 8h30 - so can't comment it they replenish the buffet well, etc.), and good swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas, etc in the spa area. We didn't have any problems with noise either. Problems were: the ironing board fell apart […] when we tried to use it exposing all the live wires and circuits (they promptly changed us to another room), the safe didn't work (they suggested leaving the valuables at reception when leaving the room), quite dark room (one or two lightbulbs were not working) and locked bathtub which then brought a lot of hair and other stuff up from the hole as the water level went up. None of these affected our mood too much but shows it may be lacking a bit on the maintenance side... 더 보기

Nice location with plenty of on site parking. Generally a nice hotel with large rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Only let down by house keeping and maintainance. Room was comfortable and looked nice but hadn't been cleaned properly, sweet wrapper left on the table. The floor in both the main room and bathroom had not been cleaned. As for maintainance […] a section was missing from the blinds, toilet roll holder fell off. Lamps loose. Various repairs in the room were of a poor standard. With a little more attention to detail this would be a very good hotel. Would I stay here again, yes. Overall the hotel was good. 더 보기

Excellent Hotel conditions. Nice Breakfast !!!

A well thought out layout, and facilites of room excellent. Hotel was busy (two weddings) but it did not affect our lives in any way. Food very good, ambience of dining room calm and staff friendly. If I have to be in that area again I would certainly stay there...so should you!

2 weddings were taking place the night I stayed. Sadly extremely noisy, took ages to get a drink at the bar and costly. Had to have dinner in our room due to overbooking and breakfast was in the hall way outside the toilets as there was no room in the restaurant

We enjoyed our stay at the Langstone, the pool, sauna and spa were very good. Room was confortable with plenty of space for 4 people. There were some areas that were in need of attention ie: bedside light didn't work and some minor decoration repairs needed but nothing that detracted from the pleasant experience.

Me and my partner chose this hotel as a little break to somewhere different. The island is lovely and has lovely sights and friendly people. The hotel itself was full of friendly staff and every one would say hello, even the cleaners. We stayed in what they call a 'luxury room'. It was indeed very roomy and had some little perks like a chocolate orange […] bar, small bottle of water, fridge, ironing board and iron and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable, when you lay on it, you sank to the bottom and after two nights on that bed i had very bad back ache. They have a big tv, but dont be fooled by them saying they have sky tv, they had bbc1, bbc2, itv, channel 4, sky news and a few sports channels. You could buy films on the tv and view your bill at anytime. The bathroom, was more of a wet room, the shower had 3 different settings, so you can have water come from above, or from the side or from a handheld shower head. If you weren't careful though, you could soak the whole of the bathroom floor which was a bit annoying. I wouldn't call the room luxury but it bared us well for our visit and at the end of the day its what you make of the holiday yourself. Breakfast buffet was lovely. What I did love the most was the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Open til 10pm which is great for a post dinner soak. It was clean and never too busy. Really relaxing. If your looking for a nice getaway for a few nights then this is the place for you. Overall I had a great time and although I wouldn't go again I am glad I went 더 보기

Our room had a double and single bed. The room was large and furnished in a trendy modern style. It was not particularly clean when we arrived,( my daughter found a small toy under the bed, the sink was grubby and there were blonde hairs on the carpet.) The bathroom was actually a wet room, which stayed wet for hours after use. We could have preferred […] a bath with a shower as we have a four year-old. The room was cleaned better during our stay. The cleaning of toilets in public areas, like near the restaurant needed more attention!!! On the positive side, breakfast was bountiful and the one meal we had in the hotel was delicious if a bit pricey. The pool was great for rainy days and the staff were nearly all great. 더 보기

Comfortable hotel with easy access to Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, New Forest and good beaches (Car essential}. Plenty to do to suit all ages. Cycling and walking possible from hotel. Excellent if not pricey food.

The hotel was lovely, facilities excellent, staff friendly and helpful. We had a lovely night at the hotel. We did find the resturant slightly over priced for the quality of food. Though this did not affect our overall stay.

I was recommended this hotel by my daughter who had stayed there. We had an excellent stay. Good service quiet location and high standard of customer care. I had read over reviews and was a bit hesitant but had no need to be concerned. Yes there is some mould over the bath. The hotel should buy some mould remover spray from lakeland - magic stiff I […] have used myself in the past. However it was a very minor detail as everything else was very good. Would bve a good place for a wedding location. Super view from the area used for weddings. 더 보기

A very pleasant stay in a convenient and picturesque location. The staff both at reception and in the restaurant were extremely pleasant and friendly. Our room was particularly good with a lovely view of the tidal estuary. It was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and excellent facilities, including being able to connect up to WiFi. Had a lovely stay. The staff were a great help. I have stayed here a few times, but not for a few years, and it is even better. There was a chair lift, but a ramp for a pram would have been great, but apart from that, Brilliant. Thank you

Stayed at the Langstone Hotel for one night over the weekend and our stay was very mice. The standard room was very spacious and the bed was very confortable. Large wardrobe with pant press which was great. It is true that the heating does not work, however we were not cold at all during the night, so not a problem. The buffet breakfast was fine, […] however I would recommand that the people cleaning and setting the table try and be a little less noisy as it did get on our nerves in the end. On arrival the reception staff were very helpful in providing me the room. The location is very nice just on the edge of Langstone Harbour however if you are using this hotel as an overnight stay whilst working on the mainland (this is an island after all) the main road starts to get busy at about 7:30 and trying to turn right into this traffic could […] be very entertaining. On entering the room I found it on first glance to be more than adequate, relatively nice decoration, very comfortable bed, nice little working area, a TV (Not flat screen) and tea and coffee facilities (sadly - no biscuits). The downside was that the hotel had gone to the effort of providing a small meal table and two chairs however they obviously don’t check the condition of these chairs as the one I made myself comfortable in had a hole, the size of a ten-pence piece, in the arm. Having arrived quite late I then decided to order room service and that's where it all started to go a awry. On the table I found the menu for the restaurant that had just closed - closes at 9:00 (Told you I was late) I then searched the desk leaflets where one would expect to find additional hotel details etc. to find a leaflet about Stag and Hen Do's (I definitely wasn't on one of those), Massage Availability, Leisure Facilities and a Mini Bar, which was co-incidentally empty and as such you had to go to the bar (does that not defeat the object of a mini-bar in the room???) I wandered to reception, the receptionist was very apologetic and proceeded to print one off. Having printed this they then proceeded to tear the paper in half (badly) and present me with these two half sheets of paper as my room service menu - not really what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Further to this, whilst preparing my menu the receptionist decided to engage in what could be seen as unprofessional 'horse-play' with, I assume another member of staff. Very friendly, attentive staff. Hotel and rooms clean and comfortable. Ample and convenient parking. Bar/lounge did get buy during evening.

A lovely location for the family with the sea (and sandy mud) very close by. A really well appointed family room with two proper single beds as well as the double. Lovely family-friendly service in the Brasserie at dinner. Great hotel for exploring portsmouth etc pity about 2 armchairs in room very worn and shower grout dirty but great location. suprised to be offered to upgrade on arrival as thought hotel room was adequate, pool staff lovely only let down was the card issue .

Considerate reception staff put us in a quiet room away from party areas (Friday night). Had to go to reception for toilet roll (housekeeping slip up), but they had supplies to hand. Would use this again for the Portsmouth area.

i would not recommend this hotel,there was no information anywhere concerning the facilities,or Hayling Island. The Hotel is nowhere near the beach.The advertised sandy beaches are just visible at low tide.. the air-con was full of dust and cobwebs.

Hotel was so comfortable and relaxing we decided to stay an extra night.

the only thing we weren't satisfied about was there was no internet access in the room & the room didn't work. we approached reception twice but it didn't make any difference. they didn't rectify either.

Hotel Langstone was a great place to stay, Easy access, good parking and a friendly staff. Enjoyed our two night stay very much.

Nice room, comfortable, clean and pleasantly decorated. Service however was disappointing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Langstone except for the lack of information in the room. For example there was no information about the cost of breakfast and no information about how to operate the bath taps although the hotel used a system we had never encountered before. There was also a shortage of information about local amenities and sightseeing

After upgrading the day before arrival to get a sea view, we were put into a room facing the rear. They moved us to the room above and, eventually on the 3rd attempt they got it right. Staff very pleasant but young and fairly inexperienced. Ordered room service, one meal fine but spaghetti bolagnaise was very overpriced and had virtually no bolagnaise. Ordered […] breakfast for 2 in room, got it for 1, no tea/coffee/salt/pepper etc. After a few attempts, they got it right. 더 보기
