We enjoyed our stay very much! Service was awesome, restaurant service the same. We will be back next year and will be sure to tell others about the Pierpont Inn.

Rooms smelled musty, bathroom small with no place to put things, noisy,had coffee cups-coffee no coffee pot, restaurant and bar closed at 7pm,will not recommend or stay here again. This place needs a remodel. Bathroom shower drain cover off.

We were double charged for the room on our credit card. Fireplace in room inoperative & staff never came to fix it when I was told someone would "be right up" to repair it. Loud, loud party with rock music going on in banquet facility right outside our door. Flat screen TV had a constant rolling line, making it impossible to watch. VERY BAD EXPERIE […] NCE! 더 보기

first room was a mess and really loud. the windows didnt shut and its right on the hwy. next room was better but the rooms are old. the tempurpedic bed isnt great. the hotel bar closes at 830 so you are kinda screwed if you get home late. There isnt much around to go to...but it is near the ocean.

This jewel of a hotel is across the street from the beach. It is under new management as of late November, so it appears the bad reviews posted earlier re cleanliness, etc., are no longer a problem. It seems that they are now rectifying maintenance that was not possible due to previous cash-flow problems. Free continental breakfast is no longer offered, […] but the restaurant offers a full menu. Love the location with nice views and walking distance to beach. Good value for the price paid. The room accommodations (standard king) were disappointing. The bed and linens were stiff, the TV was small, outdated, and only got about 15-20 stations. The bathroom was in poor condition.

We were disappointed. The shower water ran very hot and very cold, it was unconvertible. The blankets had stains. The towels had stains and large holes. The breakfast wasn't any good either.

Overall our stay was enjoyable but here are a few suggestions that can help improve your hotel: ensure the cob webs are removed from the entrance of the hotel room, batteries aren't missing from the remotes, and that the lights work. Also it would be great if the patio and pool chairs were cleaned daily. It was also disappointing that the racquet club […] facility was no longer available with a voucher. Loved this historic hotel, view of the ocean from room was good. Only a quick walk to the pier and to some great restaurants. Staff helpul and let us park our bikes by the entrance. had the best breakfast on our one month long trip, would stay here again.

Only complaints - very noisy through the door that used to adjoin two rooms - luckily the neighbors weren't too loud and retired early. Had some difficulty finding it. The sign is slightly hidden and, on the first pass, we thought it was JUST the club, not also the hotel.

We have stayed here before and loved the beautiful grounds and having the ocean just across the street. There is easy access on and off the freeways, shops and restaurants. They actually have a restaurant but were closed since it was Monday so we went to Nature's Grill nearby and loved it. We had a suite with two balconies overlooking the ocean. You […] don't hear any freeway traffic inside your room. It is older and needs some renovation. The heat was not working but we were given 2 space heaters and an extra blanket and it was fine. It is cool in June by the beach. We still recommend staying here because of the location and beautiful grounds and the room was very comfortable except for the heat problem. 더 보기

Nice location, but room is old. The bed is very comfortable (Tempupedic) and has nice flatscreen TV. Nice ocean view. But bathroom dated and does not even have a tub. Also, the listing shows a whirlpool and indoor pool, but that is at the Pierpoint Spa and Raquect club accross the driveway for $15 per person per day! The hotel Pierpont is in a walking distance from the beach Parking is free, internet free, big room, beds have good updated matresses. We had everyday hot and complimentary, excellent breakfast. disadvantages: hotel doesn't have a gym. if you would like to work out you need to go to racquet club next door and pay $ 15 for a person a day: small bathroom […] with shower, no counter in the bathroom, only sink, no microwave, no refrigerator. This is a resort beside the sea. Our room had a view of the sea. You have to look over the 101 freeway to see the sea, but the view is clear. It is walking distance from the beach and the pier. It is also close to many good restaurants in Ventura. Overall very satisfied with the stay.

no indoor pool or jacuzi as advertised, (seperate clup down the raod not part of hotel), the bed sheets had stains on them, in my room TV was next to the bed instead of being at the feet of the bed. the bed was cheap and not temperpedic as advertised. I would not recommend this place

Some rooms are very nice, some badly in need of updates. The bathroom in my room almost looked like it was still under construction, or maybe they hired high schoolers to do the tile work.. the hotel grounds were gorgeous, with a perfectly immaculate pool close to my room. The room itself was very clean with a jacuzzi bathtub and a Tempur Pedic King size bed. I've never slept so well. The room was okay but not for the price. It smelled old and musty. The grounds are AMAZING! The free breakfast was mediocre at best. It would be a good deal at a reduced price.

The ocean view is nice and the outside of the hotel and lobby are nicely kept. The room was average. Nothing you want to take pictures of. The bathroom was small. The inside of the room really doesn't match the outside, not even close.

Our stay was very nice but the fireplace in our room didn't work and the room could use a little updating. The staff is courteous and the buffet breakfast was good. Of course the best thing of all was the wonderful ocean view from the balcony and the lush surroundings. Joe's Crabshack was just across the street which made deciding on where to go for […] dinner easy. No elevator since the hotel was built in 1906 but worth taking the steps to the second floor. The hotel is worn and tired, but the rooms were clean. The staff could benefit from some hospitality training. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit tired. Needed some paint and loving attention, but it was clean.

Very clean and no foul odor whatsoever which is an accomplishment for an older hotel so close to the ocean. However, we will not be staying there again for the following reasons. Perhaps most disappointing was my expectation that the room would have some kind of 'character' in sync with the history of the hotel. The furnishings were bleak and mix and […] match. The cabinets for the refrigerator area were unfinished and water damaged eroded beneath the refrigerator. The room has tempur-pedic mattresses and regular pillows. Not a comfortable combination. The thermostat was sketchy. It didn't register changes you would try to make. At first we were freezing, but after fiddling with the thermostat, it finally kicked in four hours later and we were boiling! The lobby was really nice but the rooms do not match up. From the rooms you can tell it is an old place. The location is nice and the view from the patio and garden area is great. My girlfriend and I were there for a function and the staff did a great job with the food and the service.

Hotel sitting right atop major freeway causing way too much noise inside and outside of rooms. The ocean view rooms face the ocean and the freeway. Will not stay here again,.

THE ROOM WAS SUB- STANDARD,A/C DID NOT WORK. WE WRE MOVED TWO TIMES ,OTHER PEOPLE ENDED UP IN OUR ROOM TWICE. THE CLERK BOOKED PEOPLE TO OUR ROOMS NOT GOOD, The exec chef leaves a lot to be desired.

The hotel location makes it convenient to walk to the beach (5 minute walk). But in Ventura, beach access also means that the hotel is by the highway, since Ventura's harbor and beaches are crossed by the 101 freeway. The room itself was rather large, in good conditions with hardwood floor. They brought a pack n'play for our baby as requested.

I am a So-Cal native.. Born and raised in Ventura.. So when ever I come back home, I stay where I feel "at home"... I have stayed at the Pierpont Inn over a dozen times in my adult life.. I have never had a complaint, until now... Our Room was neat but found some cobwebs in the shower... then walked out on the patio, and right into a spider web...? […] Called room service @ 8 pm for some vanilla ice cream for me and my daughter... They confirmed the order... then 15 minutes later called and said they were out of vanilla. Next morning go down for breakfast... My daughter orders a waffle... Then after 10-15 minutes.. they come back and say they are out of waffles?? What?? The Pierpont Inn has been part of my family for years.. (my mom worked there in the 60's)... But I don't think that I will return... 더 보기

I had read some negative comments but booked anyway and am glad I did. Our room was great - clean and nicely furnished. It is right off the freeway, so it was noisy outdoors, but fine inside. The men at the front desk couldn't have been nicer! Glad I didn't spend more for a chain hotel.

I couldn't sleep for the noise. First of all, there was live music and then noise from the freeway. Additionally, despite the fact the hotel was not at all full, there were people in the room beside us, and the room above us. Both were noisy. I was slightly disappointed in the service. I needed to get aspirin for my partner and there was none available. On […] a positive note, the bed was really comfortable. this is an historic hotel, but I think they are using that fact as an excuse for not fixing holes in showers, missing tiles, etc

great hotel very clean!

We had expected something ordinary for the price we paid but got something extraordinary. It is an historic building and the bathroom was a little too historic but it was clean. The room was otherwise delightful with a comfortable bed and a balcony with an ocean view - a free upgrade when we checked in. It is a short block to a beautiful beach. The […] lobby and restaurant are charming. There is, however, no elevator to the second level rooms and the stairs and walkway are narrow. Great location, but the rooms make you feel like your in a motel south of the border! When I was checking out I told the front desk girl that they should really consider doing some basic maintenance and clean-up in the rooms. She said, "We're a historic hotel and that is part of the charm." I told her a room straight out of the 70's is not historic, […] cracked tiles in the shower, dirty ceiling fans, paint & wood chipping off the bottom of the doors, black gunk on the iron, a sliding door that is broken and doesn't lock, etc... I will not stay here again and would not recommend it unless you don't care about staying in a dump next to the beach. Great location if you like walking to the beach. Rich, historic setting with lots of tradition and style. However, our room smelled bad when we first came in. People next door were having a fight and it was very loud because the walls were thin and we had a connecting room. Front desk responded immediately to request to get people next door quiet.

very nice hotel needs some updating but still a great place to stay !!!!

Food at Austins is great. Rooms are old and need improvement. Staff service was fair.
