"Not Clean"
Would never stay there again.
Check-in and check-out was speedy. Hotel staff was very friendly. For the price, you can't beat the location. It's walking distance from many awesome bars and it has free parking.

I took my friends down to Austin to Experience the night life of 6th st. The hotel was very convient for this activity. But when we got back to the hotel we realize one friend with a hotel key was in the room asleep, not answering the door and the other key was with a friend who had decided to stay out with friends for the night. I went to the front […] desk for help and the lady acted as if it was not her problem, rolled her eyes and kept sighing as if it was to much trouble. She called the room and eventually two hrs later went to open the room. Well turns out her key didn't work and said there was nothing else she could do and just walked away! We had a great stay. It was very close to 6th street. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very nice. We would stay again.
"Great location but terrible service"
The hotel staff wasn't helpful at all and borderline rude. What do you mean you can't hunt down two extra pillows for a pregnant woman?!?! The bed was terribly uncomfortable. I will not go back to this hotel.

So I booked 2 days before St. Patty's Day and well it was OK I guess. The pictures don't lie, pretty basic it just got me that I was on a spring bed! Jeez it's 2012, who doesn't have tempurpedic? "Great location, OK room"
Came for a weekend and the price and location can't be beat. There's tons of great things to do within walking distance. The room was alright- nothing amazing, but clean enough. It was a little noisy on Friday night. All in all, it was a good value, especially compared to the surrounding options which were about twice the cost.

Clean, comfortable, convenient. No fancy funiture but no fancy price either, and it did include a full-sized kitchenette. My 1st stay at Extended Stay hotels and will seek one out again.
"Nice stay, loud but convenient area"
Excellent customer service, good location if you need to walk around downtown but bad location if you wanted a quiet evening. Keep in mind that you'll hear people walking home from the bars at 2am if it is a Fri or Sat night. Room was comfy, nothing fancy. I'd stay again.

"Ext-Stay Austin"
Great location. Got booked smoking room as non-smoking was filled up. No way to change. Wood floor was sticky. Carpeting needed steam cleaning. Elevator carpet worse than expected.

Close to downtown and 6th Street where all the action happens and for the right price. I'd go back for sure.

It's nice, affordable, free parking and close to so many of Austin's great spots! it's not luxurious, but simple, and probably a great family stay, kind a place (rooms have a kitchenette).

"Great Location"
If you are going to spend most of your time on Sixth street. Prefect place to stay. Short walk. Rooms were good size and it was a plus to have a kitchen. In that area you cant beat the pricing.

"Extebded Stay America"
Carpets all needed cleaning. Around the "under " lip of the bathroom sink was black mold!!!!!! The beds were hard and the sheets had been washed so ofter that the threads had "balled up". I felt safe, though and it was cheap.

"Just two things"
The pillows were quite lumpy and gave me a neck ache.....and there should have been two shampoo bottles rather than just one. Otherwise, was great!

Just a great location to eveything. Went to the State Capital, City Tour and Jazz Concert all in one day. We walked to all of our events and ate 3 times in the same location of the city. MUCH FUN FOR 24 hrs!!!!!!

Hotel location is great and the room was fine...except everything had a damp/mildew like smell and the elevators were awful. I would stay here again if I am coming to town to go out on 6th street only as it is a great location. But i would not stay here for any other trips to the Austin area.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. I found the room to be clean and comfortable, good sized. The staff was very friendly and the location is great for enjoying Austin's nightlife, within walking distance to everything. This will be my place to stay when visiting Austin!
"Extended Stay America, downtown Austin"
The rooms were not truly dirty, but were not up to the standards one expects. The first room they put me in had a cockroach running around the kitchen area. The bed was comfortable enough and the TV worked fine. They charge a fee (1-time) for internet access which is a bit annoying, and there were a number of pop-ups to get by to use it.

"Value for the money"
It's an old hotel, and it shows. They obviously haven't remodeled since it was built - bathroom vanity had large glued-together cracks, carpet was worn, etc. Bed was pretty hard. That being said, it's the cheapest hotel in downtown that's within walking distance of all the 6th street action and it's safe and has great a/c. Only complaint was the counter was easily distracted while checking me in. Get the studio's, they are big! All the comforts of home and try Malaga's Tapa grill, right down the street on 2nd
"Extended Stay off 6th in Austin"
The location was very convenient. Super close to the downtown bars and restaurants. The front desk attendants were very pleasant and professional. **Make sure that your guests also register their cars at the front desk or else they will get towed. I will definitely stay there again.

"Austin downtown hotel"
The hotel is located on 6th street - great location - downtown - not very clean, did not feel my car was safe in the parking lot. Staff very nice - noisy at night - would only stay there if no other room were available.
Hotel was clean, comfortable, in a convenient location. I liked especially the microwave and refrigerator. The only downside was that the shower drained very slowly.

The hotel was affordable & well located. However, it was pretty noisy inside throughout the night even though they post that it's to be quiet after 10. Guests don't follow that & it's not enforced. There was also a cockroach in my room the last night which disgusted me. The bedding is outdated and didn't feel clean.
