We stayed here two months before I left for Iraq on a tour, It was cleaner then more kept up, The exterior of the building is in need of a re-paint, the hot tub water was green, The must have just put in chlorine because it had a strong odor. The pool bottom was dirty, but the water was clear. Overall it was comfortable and the room was clean, minus […] the stained carpets. The bathroom was clean, but not well stocked in the necessities....we had four adults staying in the room.....I liked the location, it was close to a convience store (walking distance) and a major food store real close (HEB). 더 보기

I did not expect so much as i obviously received. Everything was excellent.

The staff was very gracious we had some flowers delivered as a surprise and they kept them for us, room was clean and beds were comfortable, breakfast was good would stay again if ever in that area again

We really enjoyed our stay, but there are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Toilet wobbles, the flush handle needs to be repaired, one of the closet doors is missing and the other had fallen off the track

Somewhat old but still very nice. Big spacious rooms, nice breakfast.

Hotel was so gross! Layer of dust on furniture. Mildew in the frig, sofa was stained we didn't even sit on it. Curtains had stains on them that looked like dried blood! We pulled the sheets and found hair! The whole hotel just smelled. Dont go here!!! Asked to be moved to another room but only to find that room was just as dirty. I got almost exactly what I booked. The room/hotel was clean and nice. Breakfast was wonderful. But my kids had to sleep on a fold out sofa. Not cool

I liked location,convenience and hospitality of the staff at the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and the rates were very reasonable.

good stay for the money. Good location but not on the island or very close to the beach takes about 15minutes. good breakfast with the room.

Overall we are satisfied with this hotel, the pool and hot tub were nice. The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable. The things we did not like is the pull out bed was unconfortable, the "breakfast buffet" they advertised with a sign in the elevator was hardly a buffet. The first day of our stay they were out of pretty much everything, on the second […] they were out but refilled it within 10 min or so. However the quality of the breakfast was good. Sausage, eggs, waffles, stuff most other hotels in this price range dont offer, at least that I have stayed at. We would stay there again and recomend this hotel. 더 보기

I booked a King Suite for two nights while traveling with my husband and two children. When we checked in we were given a Queen Business Suite (everything in one room instead of two). After initially being told by the hotel staff that there was no other room available to move them to I called Hotel.com customer service. I did have to wait on hold for […] a bit while they contacted the hotel and surrounding hotels to find an available room. After a bit we recieved a call from the hotel staff informing us they had found a King Suite available for us. I think without the action of the Hotel.com Customer Service rep, we would not have been given the promised room. Once there, the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner in the bedroom did not work well when the door was closed between the two rooms, but that was the only drawback to the room. The free breakfast of biscuits, gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs and waffles was ok, but not great. The biscuits were good, but the gravy was obviously a mix. The waffles were your standard make-your-own waffles, but not bad. I do not recommend the scrambled eggs. They were awful. The sausage had a good flavor, but was very greasy and left an aftertaste in your mouth. This hotel is very close to the beach and easily accessable. I would stay there again when traveling to Aransas Pass. 더 보기

Really enjoyed our stay great breakfast also.

This hotel was previously something else like a Days Inn. The signage is retrofitted on the fronts of the buildings. If the price is right, then this hotel is fine. It is VERY worn (holes in the couch in my room for example). However, it was clean. It was not what you think of when you think "Wyndham"...no where even close. The staff was very friendly. […] Bed was clean but mattress was worn. Paint in rooms dingy. The best way to describe this hotel is very, very worn. The location is premier to cross the ferry. 더 보기

This hotel is well situated for daily trips either to Port Aranasas, Rockport or to Corpus and a major reason to stay at that location. The housekeeping at the facilty is marginal, but I would stay here again. One night we didn't have hot water until after 10pm, but it was a fully occupied hotel that week of spring break. Do not book this hotel!!! It looked great on line and the lobby entrance looked okay as well but the room was disgusting!!! Imagine crabs in the garbage for 3 or 4 days and that's what the room smelt like. Had to go to front desk and ask for soap. The bed sheets had hairs on them...think the sheets were changed? Went and asked for new sheets and changed […] the sheets myself. The room was very noisy and was GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS!!!!!! STAY AWAY OMG!!!!!!! 더 보기

My family was looking for a reasonable place to stay while visiting friends over the holidays. We were surprised that a Hawthorne would have such low rates, but also surprised that the reviews were not that great. We took a chance and were pleased. Overall, the hotel needs to be remodeled. There were some cracks in the tile and in the wall, but the […] room was VERY clean. The hot tub was nice and big, as well as hot! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and kept well stocked. The biggest plus to staying at this hotel was the friendliness of the staff. They were helpful. Answered all our questions and were so polite. I can honestly say this is some of the best service we have received at a hotel as of late, and we travel quite a bit. So, if you are looking for a very clean, reasonable, family friendly place to stay, this is it. The rooms are not in the condition that I would expect with the hotel bearing the name "Hawthorn", but we felt we more than got what we paid for and the service made up for the need of repair. Again, the room was VERY clean, the bed was comfortable, and the little kitchenette was a nice addition. Well worth the money, but please know that this is a hotel in need of repair so if you want "shiny and new", you will not be happy with this hotel. Nice little hotel, good value, nice rooms

Found the maids still cleaning when we went up to our room. Fire alarm at 5:51 AM, tough way to wake up.

Our stay at hotel was pleasent until we were woke up at 645 am sunday because smoke alarm went off. Cooking down stairs and set it off. OK. The trouble we had with it is nobody new how to turn off alarmthey need training on this.

Was disappointed in condition of Hotel. Could tell that it had been nice at one time. Water for shower was warm closer to cold. Had switch to another room, water was still too cold. Walls had some type of gooing stuff in bathroom closer to ceiling. Room didn't smell fresh and clean. The only plus was the self service waffle maker.

Very nice! Large room with a nice set up, nice kitchenette. Front desk staff went out of the way to be helpful. Breakfast was more than muffins. Over all very nice

It's the best in Aransas Pass. Close to the ferry to go to Port A.

Stayed 1 night, room's alarm clock didn't work, old TV holes in wall board behind doors, shower curtin was ucky, carpet in hall was stained badly. All could be corrected by maintanence on timely basis. Was dissappointed with hotel, but location was good and convenient.

Decent place for the price. Kitchenette and full breakfast were nice additions for the money. All appliances worked fine, air conditioner was cold and quiet. Good midway point for Port Aransas and Corpus Christi activities.

The hotel was very neat and clean. The room was well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and informative about surrounding area. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location and we enjoyed our stay there. If you are in need of a kitchen then I would definitely recommend this hotel. However, it is is dire need of rennovation...new flooring, furniture, TV's etc. Especially considering the rates...but overall a good experience!

Everything was fine, nothing spectacular. Not a place to hang-out. Good place to crash after a day at the beach. No ocean view or vacation friendly hang-out areas. Breakfast is medocre. Better to take the ferry back to Port Aransas to eat and find fun stuff. Average low-end place to stay.

The service at this hotel was great! Friendly people who were very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location was good but the condition of the room could have been better. The beds mattresses had dents in them so I do wonder when was the last time they replaced them, if ever.
