Again, friendly staff. Very good breakfast and a wide selection of foods too. Very comfortable stay.

Ibis is in a Cardiff suburb away from the rail and bus stops so unless you drive your car, it's very inconvenient to slug your luggages through shortcuts, if you knew them, and walk for 15 minutes to or from the nearest bus stop. The clerk at the hotel said it takes 10 minutes walk without telling us of the shortcuts so the bus driver dropped us at […] a community center and local people there told us to walk up 2 more bus stops. We saw a Retail Park, not a Business Park, asked for direction and was told the Park was nearby but it takes a car to go there! Luckily a man at a furniture store asked someone to give us a drive to the hotel!! Otherwise the hotel room is clean, bathroom is quite large. 더 보기

I was on business on the nearby industrial estate so this was a perfect location to stay in. Room very comfortable and clean. Restricted amount of television channels (not full freeview like some hotels) though. Restaurant/cafe in the hotel served limited menu - ended up going to Toby Carvery. Lovely hot shower this time!! As usual friendly staff, great supper and breakfast. Excellent value for money. Will deffinately stay again.

I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and the staff helpful when I signed in. The room had necessary facilities and the bed was very comfortable. M Roberts

The hotel was OK. Nothing special but not awful either. Couple of minor niggles: Difficult to find. Not much choice for food nearby Seemed to be in a phone signal black hole. But it was clean and tidy. It was fine.

Arrived very late but rang ahead to notify and were very welcoming upon arrival. I ordered food which was excellent. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and the choice was great. Just a shame I couldn't get the shower hot enough!

I chose the hotel as it was budget and only needed a one night business stay. The add ons like breakfast and internet mean that really it is not the cheap hotel that the impression creates What really lets it down though is the service of the staff. I met two, both receptionists and despite them not being busy they made me aware that they really werent […] bothered. Lack of a grreeting, key card given and told go up one floor, go to the end ogf the corridor and you will find the room. I wanted to know about internet breakfast etc but the receptionist wasnt really interested in helping so i gave up. The morning one was even worse and although there was no-one else waiting for service I was initially ignored and then dealt with in an unhelpful manner. Smiles, politeness and greeting cost nothing and yet I got none of these. The room is basic as I expected but the bathroom, shower was dirty and needed a good deep clean. Our one night stay was nice, the beds were very comfortable. The shower had a lot of mold in it, however, so we chose not to use it. Breakfast was nice, but over priced, but we didn't have time to go across the street to Toby Carvers. Next time we will!

The hotel is based at a service station, however this was very convienient to us as my son and daughter in law live in Taffs Well. Reception excellent - After checking in at 1pm, we arrived back late at 10.30 after baby sitting our grand children (twins) and the receptionist ordered us a lovely BLT as we were hungry. Convenient location just off the M4, but quite a way out of Cardiff. Very difficult to find staff at reception, there was usually nobody there, but when there was someone they were very helpful. Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff however, one of the two rooms we booked had not been cleaned very well and the cost of the breakfast was excessive for the quality, it would have been better to have walked up the road to the Toby Inn which was approx £3 cheaper for a much better choice.

Our first stay in an Ibis! Very good standard for a 2*. Carpet a bit too stained, but I guess more due to previous guests ignorance than the Ibis's fault! We had requested a room above 'ground floor' and although the hotel was clearly not full, we were in fact allocated a G/F room - which was a bit disappointing. 2 Star budget hotel , however have stayed in far worse 4 star hotels. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good value for money.

It is located very close to the motorway yet is quiet enough to be able to sleep well. Staff were pleasant and willing to oblige in all matters. There is a Toby Carvery within a few minutes walk for breakfast and evening meal.

Great hotel if you want good value and good service. Very clean and comfortable. Would have been perfect if the beds had two pillows instead of one. Only 7 minutes drive from University hospital, Cardiff, where we were visiting a relative. Good meals at the Toby carvery nearby, or Burger king. 24 hour service at reception.

Basically it's a travel lodge with a slightly cheaper bed (matress and duvet).... You get the brew gear, nice friendly service etc just at half the price of a TL. Shower only, but a large nice powerful hot open shower with no annoying curtains going moldy or sticking to your body as you get in and out. Due to this factor it would probably suit more […] younger ish people or young families. I personally enjoyed my stay and actually lay in late which is unusual for me! The hotel is pleasant enough but when getting back to our room late in the evening after checking in earlier in the day then going out we realised that one of the beds was dirty!! We asked for a new bed to be supplied and was offered it to be scrubbed cleaned which was not satisfactory so we moved rooms after asking to. I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. There is a 24 reception and staff are really friendly and pleasant. I always use my own towel but the cleaning staff mistakenly took my towel for laundry. When I raised this with the hotel they offered to pay for a new towel but when I asked for internet connection they obliged and even gave me complimentary breakfast. […] I was slightly miffed about my towel being taken but they were very apologetic and went the extra mile to make up for it. The hotel is in a service station but as long as you have a car, it is fine. The only problem is that the rooms are not very sound proof so if you have a noisy neighbour you will hear them, but for the price and the polite staff, it is good hotel and I will definitely stay there again. 더 보기

the chambermaiding was good to a point but there were a lot of cobwebs in the corners of the room( food 24/7 (not) bar (not) had to use local pub, not the best ... but for the price and the comfort( exellent) the staff were very nice the hotel overall was cleen and tidy nice and quert (the hotel that is ) now i know how to find it we will stay there […] again now we also know to take a drink with us and there is always the burger king in the services . if you need any thing the staff did get it for you like extra pillows etc without question staff where some of the best we have ever found , we would like to thank them for there care. 더 보기

Efficient hotel just off the motorway, easy access to Cardiff. Staff were friendly, room was in good condition but was noisy around 3am to 4 am as various groups came in from a night out.

Arrived just after 1pm and the room was ready to me to check into. (Check-in starts at noon, which is excellent). With Cardiff being very busy, a secure car park at the rear of the hotel was most welcome and was complimentary. The room had new furniture, good windows which could be opened and a comfortable bed. It's a 20 to 30 minute walk into Cardiff […] city (depending on where you want to be), but there is a bus stop near the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was in a lovely light room and was excellent. Went to see the Stereophonics, and this hotel suited are needs. The room was clean, the staff extremely helpful. Just what we needed for a great weekend break.

The service was very good from the guy who was at reception. He explained where was best to go and had a long chat with us. Everything about this hotel was basic though- form the corridors to the rooms and bathrooms. I cant say I would go there again, however if your looking for a cheap room its perfect!
