I made the reservations for eight people, four rooms. The front desk initially did not let some people check in. Some of the names had changed, but everyone had the confirmation code. It was a bit of a hassle. Other than that, things went well.

Location not the greatest - 15 minute walk over uneven sidewalks to Canal Street...

I stayed here during the 2012 French Quarter Festival (mid April). The hotel is quite nice and the staff is extremely hospitable. The hotel isn't very far from the French Quarter, but considering all the walking done once there, I would definitely suggest comfortable, supportive shoes. The casino (Harrah's) is about a 3-block walk. There are plenty […] of cabs in the area to shorten the walk to the major attractions and some pedicabs are willing to pedal you to the hotel. The joy is that you won't be plagued by Bourbon St. or French Quarter noise... it's a very quiet area. The hotel's breakfast buffet actually isn't bad... especially since there aren't many other options in the area. I'd definitely stay again. 더 보기

Good hotel but not overly fancy. Very comfortable rooms. Did not use internet or other amenities due to my time elsewhere on a short 2 night stay. Too far from French Quarter to make a visit there easy and late at night.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in March. Positives: The hotel is conveniently located, although it will take good 15 min to walk to The French Quarter. Breakfasts are buffet type and good, reasonably priced. Negatives: The neighborhood is very unpleasant specially after dark. At the time of booking we asked for a quiet room, as both of us have […] difficulties with sleeping. What we got was a room next to the elevator and facing the street. Got this hotel sameday as a wedding I was attending at a very good price! Staff was friendly and room was big and beds super comfy. Only problem was I wanted a king bed and had to take 2 doubles and a handicap bathroom but that didnt bother me at all! Will stay there again!

This was the most comfortable hotel I have stayed at in a long time.... I do alot of travel for business, and this was one of the best ones I have experienced! Thank you all....

The most reasonably priced hotel during St. Patrick's. Didn't know that was even a real holiday. The staff was so helpful and informative. We were told how to ride the street cars and good places to get food at midnight with kids (pie or 3.14). The staff called around to make sure things were open and just provided great service. Nicely decorated, great […] beds that can adjust firmness. I'm so pleased. Its a mile walk to the french quarter but who cares! The walk helps you become part of the culture. Dinner's at the hotel are reasonably priced but dinning closes at 9pm. This stay was the first time that a hotel actually had my internet booking and was prepared for my stay. The hotel and room were clean. ST staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Five minutes from the cruise terminal.

The Hilton Garden Inn was good for Mardi Gras. The hotel was a bit noisey at times....air conditioning or machine humming somewhere...slaming doors ect .,mostly in the morning. A bit of a walk to the French Quarter though.......but overall ok....Staff was great. Front desk and Bellmen outstanding. Great deli around the corner called "the Butcher". Excellant […] sandwiches. Nice hotel with a helpful staff. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from canal st and the french quarter, if you're going for mardi gras, the hotel is close to the prade and bourbon st were all the party is. It's clean, comfortable and has what you need.

The hotel was great! Clean and beautiful with friendly staff. Valet was a bit pricey but safe and staff were courteous. Breakfast was a bit too expensive but the food was good.The bar is also high so save your money for bourbon st. Only about a mile hoof from burbon st and two blocks or so from the river walk.. I would take a cab back to the hotel from […] bourbon st though for obvious reasons.. Great hotel, extremely convenient to convention center. Even if you are going to French Quarter, there is a street car nearby. I am very sensitive to having a clean room and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Staff was great, thank you!

Everything was great in this hotel. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Just a block away from the convention center and around 20 minute walk to the French Quarter.

You're about an easy 10 minute walk to the French quarter. The hotel was under renovations but barely hear any noise. The hidden gem is the sandwich shop called Butcher down the block. Best sandwiches I ever tasted.

It was very difficult to locate the hotel. We ended up going to the Convention Center hotel and asking for directions. The GPS was even confused. The hotel was freshly rennovated and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The previous year we stayed at the Omni a few blocks east of this hotel. If you are going to the French Quarter or the French Market, make sure to use the street car because this certainly is not walking distance. Overall great experience while attending a convention a block away. Entire staff was courteous and professional. Met the manager who offered a free bottle of wine when I told of my wife's birthday. He also located a candle to put on her dessert for room service delivery. Both very nice gestures! Gave me his card and said to call if we needed anything. Highly […] recommended! 더 보기

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. There were actually having constructions done on the front lobby area and it did not take anything away from my visit. Service in the resturant was quick, and the servers were very polite.

Very good service and excellent comfort. Although still undergoing renovations, the noise was minimal and confined to daytime hours. I was there during the BCS National Championship and although most staff were LSU fans, the beatdown in the Swamp shut them all up by game' end. (Roll Tide). The breakfast bar was excellent. Although your Hotel is being remodeled, I thought it was clean and the construction crew was respect- ful and stayed out of the way of your guests. I also was impressed with your front desk staff and the cleaning crew, they were always smiling and very friendly.

This hotel is very nice for the price. The rooms are great, the staff is friendly and we really enjoyed our time. Our only complaint is not really about the hotel. I read in other reviews that it is quite a walk to everything (except the convention center). That is not a joke. This hotel is about 20 minutes from the beginning of the French Quarters. […] So you still have more to walk if you want to wander through the area. It is also quite a walk to the Superdome. We could have taken a taxi, but with 5 in our family I wasn't going to pay that much to drive a couple of miles. I guess it was good for us with all the food we ate. We did find a terrific local place to eat. It is called the Blue Plate cafe and they are open for breakfast and lunch. It was outstanding! Also, don't miss the WW II museum. Especially the movie. The staff was very courteous and helpful. A young man named Derek went out of his way to get us a fresh cup of coffee when we came in late one night. Not sure of his last name but he was the "director of first impressions."

was pretty pleased by our stay here, around the corner from Cochon which is a must visit restaurant, and a good walk from downtown and the french quarter.

My fiance and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Convention Center from December 18-21. Arrival was pretty easy, but parking here is steep at about 30 dollars. There's a cheaper lot across the street we parked at. While we were here there was constant renovations to the lobby as they were putting in a restaurant, but these stopped at night so that shouldn't […] have been too big a deal for anyone right above them. We were on the seventh floor so that wasn't an issue for us. Our check-in was easy and check-out was a breeze as well. The room was clean, modern, and sizable. The bed was pretty firm, but not too hard to sleep on. We had free internet, a microwave, mini-fridge, and HD TV. For some reason there was a speaker-like thing in the ceiling which kept making high pitched sounds or strange clicks from 3am-7:30am on several days. We complained to the front desk, who acted like we were crazy and said they'd send someone up; but no one came. The pool was very nice, with an amazing view of the city skyline. It was warm (heated?), but the hot tub was not. I'm thinking they switched the heat pump over since it was winter. The hotel is very close to the convention center, and within a reasonable walking distance to Harrah's, Riverwalk, the Acquarium, and other downtown attractions; but it can be a decent walk and one that gets old if you stay for any appreciable amount of time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. They stuff the fact that the newspapers left at your door are already included in the price, and that you have to check a box at check-in (which they didn't mention), or return it directly to the front desk to get a refund, into the fine print. Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay, However the bar and restaurant areas were not very inviting, and parking was expensive. A shuttle bus to Canal or Burbon street would have also been appreciated.

Overall it is good hotel and maintain same Hilton standard ubt some staff had attitude problem.

Lobby was dusty due to construction. Bath tub drain was slow. Coffee machine was not working but promptly replaced. Bath tub handle came off but promptly repaired. Overall experience was good and employees were curtious. JK

We were there for the bayou classic, we got good service and it was prety easy to get passed the construction. It was noisy at time.

This hotel is not as close walking to superdome or french quarters but still really nice.

The hotel was under construction at the end of November. The room we got was completle new and the cleaning stuff really friendly. The only negative point was, that it was really loud at the weekend inside and outside the hotel.

I just love my stay i'm looking to return in about a month are so see you soon!!!!

This is a convenient location next to the convention center. The area is surrounded by buildings and walking distance to nearby restaurants, businesses and facilities. Construction area was contained and did not alter stay.
