My wife and I spent the night there for our partial honeymoon. From the doorman to the front desk I was greeted and welcomed. The front desk asked if I was staying there for any special occasion, I informed her that my soon to be wife and I would stay. Which at the point she congratulated me, and quickly had me in my room. When I walked into the room […] I was speechless, the room was flawless. My wife was also blown away by its beauty. Not only did we have a wonderful time but, the girl at the front had a sparkling lemonade awaiting us upon our checkout. She also gave us a certificate to come next year and spend a night on them. I travel to Salt Lake frequently on business and this was my first say here. A beautiful hotel, tastefully appointed and outstanding staff that goes the extra mile and tasty food. The rates are reasonable and won't break the bank. The service and furnishings of this hotel but it on par with high end hotels in New York, London or San Francisco.

The Grand America is a great Hotel. Very large and spacious rooms, hallways, etc. I didn't know that they charged you $10 a day to use the pool and to work out. I loved the steam room they have in the men's locker room. Quite possibly the hottest steam room I've ever been in. They could do some upgrading in the rooms with decor. The hotel is very pretty, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly, but with this wonderful facade, there were issues we found once we headed up to our room. A house keeping lady just walked into the room without knocking or announcing herself, dirty dishes from room service was left out in the hall for almost a whole day, random empty […] cups left on various pieces of furniture in the hallways. When we went to go use the indoor pool, it appeared most of the tables and chairs were in use (used towels & empty water bottles), but there were only 3 people in the entire pool area. Although there were pool attendants on duty, it took almost an hour for them to come in and clean it up. The bed in our room was uncomfortable along with the pillows. The expense seems to be trying to make it look grand, thus the name, but with a 5 star rating and higher priced rooms, you would expect a little more attention to the upkeep. 더 보기

Horrible how I was required to pay ten bucks every time I used the pool! Incredibly cheap for them to charge every guest to use the pool. I have never been charged a pool use fee at any hotel EVER!

Very nice hotel. A little disappointed with the beds for five star hotel, and the fact that we couldn't get reservations for the Sunday brunch. But other than that it was very classy and enjoyable.

The Grand American is a nice hotel. However, for the price I would stay somewhere else and save the money. Had a tremendous Christmas with my family at the Grand America. Would recommend spending a relaxing holiday at the Grand. The spa was fabulous.

It was my first time staying in a five star hotel. I guess I expected more. Since the outside pool was closed for the season, I thought they should allow me to use the indoor pool, no problem just pay the fee. It seemed as though the entire place was there to nickel and dime me rather than to make my stay pleasant. Our standard room on 22nd floor was what hotels in Europe would call a Junior Suite - very spacious and great panorama view over Salt lake City including sunset on the mountain.

Grand America is the only 5 star hotel in Salt Lake City and the only place to stay in our opinion. The premier king rooms cost a bit less, but are our favorite. They seem visually larger. Ask for a corner at a higher level on the east side away from the loud street car which is on the west side. The state's restrictrive laws require you to order food […] with drinks in the bar whether you are hungary or not so don't plan on "just a drink" in the bar. This is one fantastic hotel. I actually felt it was too good for me!! Superb rooms/suites and the public areas of the hotel were breathtaking. The Little America is over the road, part of the same group, which is worth a visit. Negatives - Some distance to the centre of SLC, altough there is a tram that passes the hotel. A five star hotel in my opinion has to be nearly perfect. This hotel lacks in many areas, but especially the service piece. The valet was very rude at check-in, as was the room service delivery staff and the young people selling coffee in the lobby. The best stay ever! They treated you with TLC

The hotel and surrounding grounds have all the makings of a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately that didn't carry into the comfort of the beds. Huge disappointment to lay down at night and feel like I was sleeping on the floor. If you are going to go all out on a hotel don't go cheap where it matters most--the bed. This may sound odd, but the reason I stay […] in a hotel as opposed to sleeping in my car is to get a good nights rest. Didn't happen this trip. I loved the ambiance of the hotel right when you walk in; you can tell it's first class. The staff is so polite and helpful, someone greets you every chance they get. This beautiful hotel was delightful to stay in. The room was so inviting and very luxurious. The room was also very soundproof and quiet. We didn't ever hear activity from other rooms. The amenities were very plush and met all our expectations of staying in a 5 star hotel. Since our stay was in December, the hotel had window christmas displays throughout […] the hotel that were enjoyable to view as well as gingerbread houses from local chefs and students enrolled in culinary art programs. Great stay. Nice view. Room service is a little pricey.

This was a great hotel. Our suite was clean & beautifully decorated. Room service breakfast was very good.

Beautiful hotel. Large rooms. The bed wa a bit hard. Another guest charged pool and gift shop charges to our room but desk staff were good to take charges off our bill at checkout without question. We'll definitely return next time we're in SLC.

Beautiful Hotel. The room could not have been more perfect. Could have stayed all week.

The Grand America Hotel was much nicer than I expected. I would highly recommend this Hotel. It has a very luxurious and old world heir about it. I did not stay long but was impressed to find such a jewely of a hotel in Salt Lake City, a Jewel of a city as well.

Spectacular Hotel. Beautiful from top to bottom. Gorgeous flowers and chandeliers. Every detail was given special attention and the staff was professoinal and very friendly.

You can't go wrong with the Grand America - it is a five-star hotel in most every way (check in receptionists are somewhat cold and "professional", not real welcoming even with somewhat frequent guests like myself). Check out the breakfast buffet in the Garden Restaurant. Great price and five-star selection.

The Grand America is stunning really. I was disapointed that our room smelled of alcohol. For such a lovely hotel the pillows weren't that great and the toilet paper was cheap :) Other than that I would definitely stay there again. We didn't have much time to enjoy the pool or fitness center, but the price was only an additional ten per day.

Beautiful Hotel! I thought the room and layout would be a bit more grand rather than almost identical to a place we stayed nearby which was less expensive. I still enjoyed the room and our stay.

It's a beautiful hotel but I was surprised how hard the beds were.

the best hotel for hundreds of miles...if not thousands!
