We totally enjoyed our stay at the Riu Playacar, Arrived at Hotel, went to check in and within 10 minutes I was in my room, which was lovely (and by the way the beds were just fine - actually haven't slept that well in a long time) our luggage was up 5 minutes after we were up in the room. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE WAS PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, and always […] was happy to help you in any way they could. We had no issues what so ever. Well one thing - not that it was an issue but - the showers could use a light as it is a little on the dark side. Housekeeping crew were un-real, the bartenders were all so polite and always had a smile on their face - especially the pool bar - man that guy would be great in NYC Bar - he had full control of that bar and there was not one person ever waiting for his attention. Really remarkable. Loved the Shopping Plaza right outside the hotel and downtown was a 5 minute cab ride, and THE BEACH - Just Gorgeous. I am an early riser and every morning 6-6:30 it was me and the cleaning crew they work very hard every day and are also kind and curteous. It was truly a great experience - we got involved with the pool games and had a blast and my 9 year old enjoyed the kids club. Great Vacation - I will be back!!!!!!!!!!! 더 보기

Enjoyed my stay at Riu hotel. The staff was great and tries to go out of their way make your stay a pleasant one. The food was great. I got to visit the other RIUs and they were pretty much the same with the exception of location. The only complain were the hard beds at the resort. After the fourth night I was starting to feel it. Vero was extremely helpful!

One of the best all inclusive resorts in Playa del Carmen that we have stayed in so far. Good food, great entertainment/activities staff - kids have lots of things to do. The only problem we encountered was poor ventilation in the room and occasional bad smell coming from the bathroom - looks like poorly design sewage system; not sure if it applies […] to all the buildings or only to one we stayed in. 더 보기

La verdad que la pasamos genial a pesar que la habitacion tenia un poco de olor a humedad y que la comida, especialmentela del mediodia era siemrpe la misma. He estado en otros all inclusive y en este no tenias que levantarte temprano para reservar reposeras, la bebida alcoholicas eras aceptables y de buenas marcas en algunos casos. El vno intomable […] como en casi todos los all inclusive. La ubicacion del hotel es excelente, super cerca del centro de Playa del Carmen, como para ir caminando. El hotel en gral muy bien,salvo la noche de navidad que fue realmente aburrida,nosotros viajamos con nuestros hijos y la verdad era la primera vez que festejabamos la navidad fuera de casa. Pensamos que iba a ser diferente,por lo menos esperar hasta las 12 para brindar,pero no, a las 23 hs se termino TODO no hubo baile ni nada, se fueron todos, animadores […] inclusive, se apagaron las luces, un desastreeee. A los 20 min de estar en la habitacion esta se inundo por que la tasa del baño se rebalso, demoraron 10 min en llegar mantenimiento y luego de que toda la habitacion estaba con agua, dudaban de secar o cambiarnos de habitacion, botones nunca llego para asistir en el cambio tube que bajar las maeltas y subirlas 3 pisos a otro edificio donde nos asignaron […] un otra habitación, pesimo comienzo, no lo recomiendo, lo unico bueno es su acceso a la playa y equipo de animacion 더 보기

Es un Riu, con el buffet un poco más limitado que de costumbre, el staff es amigable, y cerca de la playa, un fraccionamiento muy bonito y cerca de la quinta avenida

A mi familia y a mi nos encantó el hotel, el recibimiento (el cocktel de bienvenida) la sonrisa del personal de recepción, la comida variada y exquisita, instalaciones impecables y el personal; desde el subgerente hasta el de limpieza muy amables. Estubimos en el Riu Playacar 8 personas durante 14 dias y la pasamos super genial, el hotel esta muy bien ubicado, la playa barbara yo visite playacar en 2008 y esta mas grande y no tiene esos bolsones en el mar. El hotel cumple bien con todo salvo algun que otro pequeño detalle en rasgos generales muy bueno.

Nous avons été très bien reçu dans ce superbe hôtel. En bord d'une plage de sable fin et blanc de la mer des Caraibes dans le complexe playacar de Playa del Carmen. Chambres spacieuses, calmes et propres. Seul point très négatif en 2005 et 2006 le soir au souper les clients étaient correctement vêtus maintenant s'est du n'importe quoi short et liquettes comme s'il revenaient de la piscine! dommage .

Excelente destino para vacacionar en familia. Seguro,comodo y con un personal muy amable.

The Riu playacar is okay but i would suggest using a different hotel chain in the playacar development if you're looking for a place in this price range.
