Clean, comfortable room, with easy-to-use thermostat. Fast housekeeping service. We had three sets of towels for two people, an unexpected nicety. Be aware the hotel serves visiting school-age sports groups on the weekends; the breakfast area (and sometimes the hallways) can be busy/noisy. Our room overlooked the start/finish line for an international […] dog sled race; we watched the start and finish for two of the three races (in warmth!), a bonus. Ask for a room overlooking 2nd Av. I found Spring Hill on hotels.com. & it was the cheapes in the Fairbanks area. We needed two doubles & a sofa bed for 5 adults, so we didn't expect much. We were delightfully surprised. Extreemly comfortable beds, including the soft mattress. Wonderful view, kitchenette, workdesk for my laptop, and spacious living area. We had 5 full sized adults and […] didn't feel cramped. The free breakfast buffet had homemade oatmeal, fresh fruits, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, and of course waffle machines. We ended up staying two nights & took in the International Ice Sculptures and the Chena Hot Springs &&&& were treated to the incredible greens, blues, and pinks of the winter Auroras. If you are looking for lower cost meals there restaurants within walking distance, but check local menus carefully, many have high prices with homey names. Our stay was a mini weekend vacation. The hotel is very kid friendly and front desk personnel was kind. Pool and Hot Tub area very clean. We would stay again.

I like when traveling on business and dont have a car to have a wonderful restaurant close by to the hotel. Luckily for folks staying at this hotel, Lavelle's is a wonderful restaurant on the first floor of the hotel.

Hotel is located downtown Fairbanks within walking distance of a few local stores and restaurants. Hotel was nice and the room was clean. Simple hot breakfast. There was a pool but did not use. Elevators did not work and being on the 5th floor was a hassle. Charged different rates for one night to another penalizing longer term quests. Breakfast room too small for all the people it tried to serve. People standing everywhere.

Sofa in room looks pretty tired. Pillows help a bit.

This was a spectacular experience. The workers really took care of you and were spectacularly nice.

Our family has always enjoyed staying at this hotel whenever we have the opportunity. It is convenient to places we usually visit in Fairbanks. It also has free WiFi in the hotel rooms and a decent, free breakfast buffet. The hotel staff is very friendly. We were even more pleased during our most recent stay to see the nice upgrades to the hotel room--ours […] had a new, much larger sofa (convertable into a bed) in addition to two beds and the colors of the room were updated to nice pastel colors. Front desk very helpful in arranging for 5 AM taxi at hotel expense to take guests to airport for 6 AM flights. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Very good restaurant in hotel.

My grandson and I spent the night here and had a wonderful time. The pool area was great and the breakfast was good and plentiful. The front desk staff wasn't the friendliest but everything else was good.

OK, I'm an easy-going guy who is relatively easily satisfied as long as I can get a reasonable night's sleep, so consider that in this review. This place exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived through the moment we were dropped off at the airport, the staff made us feel welcome and did their job very well. Had a nice meal at the house […] restaurant, too. The lady who drove us to the airport at 0630 was kind of the icing on the cake. Nice having the extra space in the room tho we were there too short a time to truly appreciate it. Nice large room with separate couch/TV area and Kitchenette. Very helpful front desk. Nice view from upper floors. Airport shuttle increases the value (but will not take or let you off anywhere else). Location about as good as it gets in Fairbanks where everything is spread out. Downtown location 'colorful' but about a mile from practical shopping.

The hotel was fine in all aspects but one. The room was adequate in space and comfort, access easy, plug-ins available for vehicle (it was about 25 degrees below zero while we were there) and the breakfast foods, while not "top quality", were reasonably good; scrambled eggs (powdered?), ham, sausage, breads, fruit, yogurt, dilute juice and coffee. The […] best option was timed waffle iron and portioned batter (you pour). The only drawback was the "hot tub" in the pool, gym equipment area. The tub was way heavy in chlorine (I understand the reason) and just barely warm. A hotter bath available in the hotel room, though without jets. Nice location - must go to visitors center within walking distance. Hotel restaurant was excellent, little pricey, but no disappointments.

The hotel was in a great location, but parking was in an issue. It is located in downtown Fairbanks along the Chena River. We had to park a couple blocks away in a parking garage. The fee for the garage was validated at the hotel check-in desk. The rooms are large and broken into smaller spaces which gives the rooms a small apartment feeling. There […] was some hair in the tub, but I chalked it up to housekeeping overlooking it. The rest of the room was clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Fairbanks. There were a few things that we weren't expecting. One of them was when we got back to the hotel late and found ourselves parking on the sidewalk cause there was no parking left, but it was Labor Day weekend so no big deal it's to be expected. Another one was that the charge on the internet usage. I didn't read […] anything that said that was how it was. Or maybe I just missed that part. There were no body-towels in the bathroom on our last day. Every night that we stayed there, there was one less towel, till they were gone. That really surprised me because when housekeeping comes into clean they should see that we running low on clean towels. But the one that bothered me the most was that on the last morning before we checked out. It was around 9 something, I was laying on the bed, on top of the covers in my boxers, when a housekeeping lady just opened the door. There was no knock at the door, there was no "housekeeping", and no warning before she opened the door. She closed the door when she noticed that the room was not vacant, but that was what stood out about our stay there. As far as I'm concerned it was an one time deal, it was an accident.
