Soft classical music playing in the lobby is a nice touch. The room was decorated like a home with little knick knacks and such, instead of looking like a cookie-cutter hotel room. Breakfast was good enough, nice variety of options. Wine in the evening was nice. The mood felt inviting and pleasant. My only criticism is that my husband and I had to stand […] up and eat our breakfast because there weren't enough tables set up. The hotel is centrally located, so we were able to walk all over town. Found the hotel clean, bright, and just as advertised. Front desk personnel very helpful and pleasant. Hotel within an easy walk to the waterfront and excellent reastaurants. Highly recommend this hotel and shoud plans call for travel to this location in the future, this hotel will e selected.

I enjoyed the friendly staff. The evening wine tasting was very surprising and you can't beat the included breakfast. My family and I would definately recommend this to others and will be back.

This is an excellent place to stay. Close to everything. the room has a bit of an overdone country decor, but it's super clean, new, spacious. Great staff. We stayed at 5 different hotels in the course of our 12 day vacation up PCH. This was the best of all of them and that includes expensive big name hotels. Book with confidence.

Our experience at the Ascot Suites in Morro Bay was great. The staff is very friendly the wine tasting in the evening was more than I expected and the breakfast served in the morning was very satisfying. This was a delightful stay in Morro Bay. The hotel was as advertised. Clean, neat and comfortable. I didn't give '5' ratings because it wasn't a 5 star facility. It was definitely worth the cost and we will definitely return. We could walk to almost everything in Morro Bay, and had a view of Morrow Rock from our patio. Surprisingly large and comfortable room -- ours looked at THE ROCK and we could watch squalls coming in. Convenient to the Embarcadero. Great place!

We were so pleasantly surprised to walk into our room and have it be so warm and beautiful--with a fireplace! The bathroom and jet tub was really nice too! We did not get to enjoy the afternoon wine tasting, as the clock was wrong in our room from daylight savings (it didn't get changed by the room attendant) and we got there at the end instead of the […] beginning, but maybe next time! Spent a very nice two days there and couldn't find a single negative thing about the place. Delightful front desk people, clean rooms and close to a lot of things. Would stay again!

Took advantage of their great winter rate and enjoyed most of the amenities the hotel had to offer, except for the nonworking rooftop jacuzzi and nightly wine reception. Fireplace was nice along with the mini fridge and microwave. Spacious and charming 2 queen bedroom with small balcony. The complimentary hot breakfast was awesome with scrambled eggs, […] sausages, make your own waffles and all the other cereals and pastries available. Be careful driving in and out of the parking lot as the street dips quite a bit and tends to scrape the bottom of your vehicle. Otherwise ample covered hotel parking is available. Really enjoyed our stay there. There were a few items to improve on.. The fireplace wasn't working but they fixed the problem for us. They forgot to replenish our towels after they serviced our room. The continental breakfast was not good at all! The people that worked there were VERY pleasant! While generally quite pleasant, our recent three day stay at the Morro Bay Ca Ascot Suites was marred by my inability to get a hot (or even lukewarm) shower. My husband, who is an earlier riser than I, did manage to get a warm shower one morning; it is definitely a case of first come on the hot water. My wife and i planned an extended weekend trip to morro bay and after reviewing several places to stay we chose the ascot suites. We couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. The breakfast was more that just sweet rolls & coffee, it was eggs and sausage, biscuites & gravy....and much more. The wine tasting every evening was also a great perk. […] We walked along the beach every evening after dinner and there were several places to choose from. We were so thrilled with our room-very quaint and so special with a fireplace. Close to town and convenient to shops. Nice wine tasting too!

This is not the first time we stayed at the Ascot. Always impressed with the cleanliness,,the size of the rooms and the room make up.The service is friendly and courteos.The hotel location is in downtown and very close to the waterfront.The complimentary breakfast is plenty and variable. The room prices are reasonable.

Stayed at the Ascot on New Year's and it was a perfect choice, centrally located to downtown Morro Bay and within walking distances to all activities. The street faire was just one block up and the local watering holes were close by. The rooms were very nicely done, very clean and modern. The room was very cozy, clean,and well kept, could be called romantic.. The room did not have a great view, but we have been to Morro Bay 100's of times,and the view was not important. Fireplace was very nice. Bathroom was clean and very large. We would like to seen a better mattress. It is time to change to the newer more comfortable ones. The room was lovely with a fireplace and nice bathroom. The wine tasting was fun and having a full breakfast in the breakfast room allowed us to talk t o others staying there. Reminded me of European hotels. I would book again.

This is superb value for money. Well thought out with all toiletries provided (unlike Intercontinental at Monterey which cost 3 times as much), free wifi and access to a pc in the lobby too (unlike Intercontinental..) water cooler on landing, very spacious room with gas fireplace, fridge, tea/coffee. desk and a big table etc. Magnificent breakfast included […] - serve yourself - pastries, cereal, porridge, eggs, sausages, waffles, toast, fruit, yoghurt, fresh coffee, tea, fruit juice. Very friendly staff recommended good Italian restaurant a couple of minutes' walk away. Under cover parking included. Great view of Morro Rock too. Highly recommended 더 보기

The toilet was not working. We had to un-blocked the toilet ourself, Switched to another room, same problem happened to the toilet.

This hotel is quaint looking but has all the amenities. Our room was decorated in an older Victorian style, complete with a partial canopy over the bed, much to the delight of my wife. We'd stay here again, given the chance. Breakfast was very complete with waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals and fruit, plus juices and coffee.

Nothing to complaint about it. Looks old but very clean and cozy!

hotel was clean, friendly staff & was within easy walking distance to waterfront area left an item in the room after checkout and within a few hours received a phone call notifying us of the left item. THANKS ASCOT.

We would recommend this hotel even though we had some slight problems. The 2nd morning of our stay we had no hot water for our showers. Also the hair dryer did not heat up for styling, it was very old. But it is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful setting. You can walk to everything! Was very impressed with Ascot Suites. We loved the convenience to the Bay, the breakfast was very plentiful and the walk in closet gave plenty of room as a dressing room as well as a closet.

Close to waterfront. Nice rooms. Friendly, helpful staff

I was in town for business at Cal Poly. Staying in Morro Bay is much cheaper than in SLO. Morro was nice, quiet and the Ascot was a great value. Clean, wine reception, free breakfast. I would stay there again.

This was our second stay at Ascot Suites and we will return here. It is clean, well appointed with lots of charm and personnel very friendly. Very ample parking...and so well located to shopping and sight-seeing at harbor. We loved it.

Clean neat and nicely decorated. The staff were very pleasant. Hot breakfast. Most rooms do not have a view of the ocean although you can see Morro Bay Rock. Just a short, nice walk down to shops and the wharf.

The hotel was very easy walking distance from waterfront. Room was very nice. Only gripe is that in pictures, a jacuzzi is shown when it is not available. That was a letdown, otherwise all was well.

Lovely small hotel with wonderful views of Morro rock. Nice amendities such as complimentary wine in early evening. Nice breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Free wifi.
