Over all stay was very good. Front desk personnel were excellent. Sheets for the hide a bed were stained with bodily fluids... unacceptable!!. I placed them on the floor and they were never replaced. Walls were a bit thin but otherwise the room was very well appointed. I would stay again.

We really like HIE... Very good breakfasts ! We stayed here because it was close to our family.. Was really Ok.. But bad experience when wr came in one night.. Gross smell! Too late to do anything but go to sleep.. Desk said it was probably water in the drip pan of the fridge .. Got fixed.. On PCH .. So expect noise. Staff was nice

This Hotel had a very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this place, but be aware that it is located right on PCH, a fairly busy highway. We ended up with a room on the street side, which i regret. I know that if i had asked to switch to the other side, the staff would have moved us. Sbout average in terms if cleanliness and comfort. Met our expectations. Wish the breakfast was better (TV ads imply a great breakfast, but it's basically McDonalds quality). Convenient 10min walk to beach. Good bed. On a noisy road. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would go back.

I just got back from staying at Holiday Inn Hermosa Beach March 2012, and was pleasantly surprised how clean and well maintained the rooms were here. Although being rated a 2.5 star hotel, this was equivalent to an Australian 4.5 star hotel. So don't be put off by the star rating, which i must admit i was very worried before i arrived at the Hotel. […] I am very fussy when it comes to cleanliness, especially with having young children, and I honestly could not fault this hotel. Excellent for young families, customer service was extremely accomodating, complimentary breakfast included, was a lovely buffet breakfast every morning. The only reason why i picked this hotel was because i read the reviews on Hotel.com, and every review was positive, so i thought i would give it a go, and was so glad i listened to the other reviews. The hotel is approx 10 minute walk to the main part of Hermosa where the bars and restaurants are located. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was a good size and the complimentary breakfast was great. Good value hotel for the area.

We chose this hotel because of the "indoor pool" but the pool area is very disappointing. There are 3 walls and the other wall is a view of a side street. The pool was freezing cold and the hot tub is super small. The staff was not friendly and the "free breakfast" is below average. It's overpriced and a far walk from the beach. Great club/concert venue directly across the street. A perfect way to go out and have a great night without worrying about parking or driving home afterwards. And the staff was great too. Absolutely nothing to complain about here.

Location is close to Redondo Beach King Harbor and Hermosa Beach Strand, which have abundant restaurants, shops and city conveniences. The breakfast is excellent, with a full selection of main course items, such as scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels and cinnamon rolls. The pool is technically outdoor, not indoor, though, because it's actually covered by […] the second floor, but not enclosed. The water was not really warm either, but the Jacuzzi was nice. The hotel is within a short 5 minute walk to the beach and 10-15 from the main part of Hermosa. The room was pretty spacious and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

Good family hotel, free breakfast, free Internet and parking was a huge plus! Pool was nice, my kids had a blast. Laundry onsite too :-). Any issues were addressed immediately too, friendly staff as well.

This hotel is about 5 blocks from the beach. The pictures of the hotel in their add on hotels.com make it look like it's on the beach. It's not, however, it is a good value for the area. They have an excellent breakfast that comes with the price of the room. Our room was fine, even though it was non-smoking, and it smelled like the previous occupants […] had smoked in it. The cleaning staff should leave the windows open and fan on after they have cleaned. There were alot of Europeans staying at the hotel when we were there. 더 보기

hotel was great.....

The only downside I found was that the walls are a little thin. It may have just been that our neighbors were extra loud. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The location was great...a short drive to the pier.

This was a nicely priced option within walking distance (less .5 mile) from the beach. The hotel appears to have been renovated/redecorated recently and was nicely appointed. The mini-fridge/microwave was a plus for a traveling family. The hotel service is absolutely miserable. The man working at the front counter told us we could not stay at the hotel when we went to check in because we arrived at 1 am and were going to distract their customers staying on business. We were in fact staying on business, but did not have time to check in any earlier due to a late arrival. The lobby […] looks nice, but the rooms themselves are not. The room smelled of must and smoke, even though we requested a smoke free room. There were people partying down the hall and it was hard to fall asleep when we needed to wake up several hours later. Personnel very cordial, friendly, helpful. Coffee-excellent. It was very convenient for us to stay there, close to our son's home. Very comfortable hotel to stay in. Quiet too.

We were on a road trip down the coast and we stayed here. Within walking distance of lots of things to do and the hotel itself was very nice.

Very nice, clean hotel. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was way better than expected. Location is blocks away from the beach and pier, just a short walk . Hotel is nice, clean and modern. This is by far the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. Room was large and the hotel is short walk to the beach and local stores. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked room for 4, 2 adults and 2 children. When I got there the room they had for us just had a king size bed and no rollouts etc. To top that there was some vomit stench in the room from probably a previous guest there. Hotel didn't do a good cleaning job at all. Also they didn't help change the room or clean the stench. Unprofessional staff with […] no understanding of customer care! we needed to crash for 1 night after a hectic business transaction and long travel and Holiday Inn was the only one with reasonable price but we were more than satisfied. we felt we got more for what we spent: friendly receptionist, amenities that are time accessible and closed to many good restaurants. We're sure to come back again. Thanks

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Hermosa Beach - is a very nice, family oriented motel convienently located near beaches, dining, shopping and major airports. Excellent location for recreation and relaxation!

I am from the area...but just needed a get-a-way from the city for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was perfect. No one bothers you....a nice breakfast and the front desk was awesome. All men worked the whole weekend and they were all awesome and pleasant. Able to walk down to the strand in like 20 minutes and enjoyed the night life one of the nights. […] Having CVS a few steps from the front door was perfection. I would even consider bringing clients in to stay here instead of the lax hotels I usually book them at... 더 보기

The location was great, just a short walk to the beach. The breakfast was a disappointment, the food was barely warm. The bed was also uncomfortable, mattress quite hard. On a positive note,the staff were friendly and helpful.
