This is a high quality hotel with excellent amentities and attentive staff. It is not however to my opersonal taste as it is so 'designery' in feel that I found it difficult to relax there.

I highly recommend this hotel for many reasons. The hotel is beautiful, clean, modern, chic, boutique and luxurious with a full range of services and amenities. The staff were extremely friendly and they were very flexible and accommodating to our changing needs. For example we needed to add an extra guest at the last minute and they accommodated us […] quickly and professionally with very little extra charge. They found it it was my birthday and they left me a birthday card & cake in my room. The pool & spa was lovely and the restaurant and bar were fantastic. The hotel is very conveniently located near all the shops and close to a subway line (which is only 2 stops from the large Central station, with easy access). Great hotel, excellent breakfast, good location

Easy parking right next to hotel in Gänsemarkt Parking facility. Walking distance to town center. Alster lake is only 400m away. Hamburg is such a nice town for shopping and a relaxing weekend break. We brought folding bikes so we could se more on the sunday. The hotel has nice spa, sauna, pool in the basement where you can relax af a long day walking. The hotel was very pleasant except for the fact that I could not turn down the heating in the room - so luckily the windows opened and I was able to keep the room cool that way. The sink goes not hold water. The lighting around the mirror cannot be turned off without removing the room card leaving the electricity off during the night.

A lovely modern hotel in central Hamburg.

Just sample their meat selections.... You will not be disappointed and oh just for good measure try the Malbec.... In fact the breakfasts are so good you may as well stay from dinner until elevenses.... Great place with some lovely staff!!!

No soap, the one they have is not good.. not good towel.... only the restaurant is the best in town......

We didn't spend a great deal of time hanging around the hotel during our stay in Hamburg. However, what we saw of it was immaculately clean and tastefully done out. Service was friendly and helpful too. The ideal modern city hotel for me.

I can't find any fault with this place! Great welcome at reception, very helpful. Hotel 1 minute from Underground on U2 , runs all night, less than 5 minutes to the central (HBF) station. Boutique hotel with extremly comfortable rooms - not faar from the Opera house.

Sorry but this was bad . 30 Degre outside the same in the room.No decent Air Conditioning or not at ALL.Could not sleep.No separate shower in the Business room.No On demand TV.Save your money choose a decent one................

+ Nice modern minimalistic design + Great location: a small side street close to the city (2 min walk to Gaensemarkt; 5 min walk to Inner Alster; 10 minute walk to Monkebergstrasse), calm and quiet. + Pleasant staff - Room was in need of some renovation (fingerprints on the wall, rust in the bathtub)

Excellent service, spacious spotless room, very convenient location, great breakfast. Very good value for money!

Excellent position with local transport links nearby. Few minutes walking distance to the main attractions, good restaurants and bars. Service was faultless with a pleasant and helpful attitude. Good Spa facilities.

Nice room , nice locations. Everything is very modern. It is far from a five star experience more like 3-4 star boutique hotel. I.e. No doorman to open the main doors. I have had nicer stays at 4 star Westin.

terrific hotel in excellent location, good breakfast, helpful English-speaking staff

SIDE was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here whether for business or pleasure.

I chose this hotel for it's proximity to the start of the Hamburg 2010 Marathon. Needing to be close to the start and finish of the race, i really couldn't have asked for more. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded. Our room was sumptuous, on the 4th floor. It had it's own little kitchenette, fridge, massive shower/bath in […] the bathroom, and even a throne like loo!! the deck on the 8th floor was a lovely place to kill time whilst putting my feet up before/after the marathon. we didn't eat in the restaurant, but it did look rather splendid with all the meats hanging for all to see in the hotel foyer. staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel was geared more towards the business traveller, as during our stay there were 2 big conferences going on within the building. however, there was no issue with noise or anything from the businessmen/women. a stones throw away from the city centre, we were well placed to explore. ideally we would have hired bikes but it rained on the day after the marathon when we had earmarked to bike around the cycle routes. instead, we lounged around the hotel spa instead, with its gym, pool, sauna and steam rooms. all very plush and well stocked. all in all a very pleasant hotel. we'd go back again if returning to Hamburg. 더 보기

Very good boutique hotel. Cool layout and vibe, friendly and attentive staff and a short 5min walk to the Hamburg Messe if you have a conference there as I did. The internal restaurant called (M)Eatery does good steaks, but if you want to get out and about it's also close to wander to a decent selection of bars and restaurants in the area. We booked this hotel through the internet and we really liked it, perfectly located (although not by any water side as the pictures of the hotel suggested) and the staff where incredibly polite and helpful.

Hotellet ligger fint i forhold til shopping. Restauranten kan klart anbefales både til aften og morgen. Lige når man kommer ind i receptionen føles hotellet koldt og minimalistisk, men værelserne er ganske pæne og hyggelige. Super fedt hotel, med rigtig god beliggenhed. Lækker SPA, Dog var jacuzzi og sauna kolde Vi havde købt en pakke med morgenmad og det sagde de i receptionen ikke kunne passe til den "lave" pris. Meget fancy hotel. Vi boede der for 7 år siden og fandt hotellet meget specielt. Denne gang var oplevelsen et lidt koldt hotel og lidt for fancy. Men alt i alt ganske udmærket.

Für uns optimal gelegen unweit der Staatsoper, Gänsemarkt und Neuer Wall empfanden wir die Gestaltung dieses Hotels als außergewöhnlich. DIe Lichtgestaltung ist sehenswert, der Service entgegenkommend, das Frühstück hervorragend. Schade war nur eines: die Sitzlandschaft in der 8. Etage sitzt nur witzig aus, ist für den Nutzer aber unbequem. Design sollte […] die Funktion in den Vordergrund stellen, das wurde vom Möbeldesigner hier vergessen. Fedt designhotel. Restauranten (M)eatery er servere lækekr mad ofg har en fed asmosfære. Bare evd siden af er trendy og har DJ. Fedt med Loewe fladskærm på værelset og pooeln er lækker, dog er Spabadet lidt koldt!

Det var 3. gang vi boede på SIDE og det er stadig et dejligt hotel. Der er en imponerende indvendig arkitektur, morgenmaden er ud over det sædvanlige, spaen i kælderen er fin og værelserne er bare lækre. Men det begynder alligevel at trænge til en kærlig hånd. Gulvene trænger til afslibning og lakering, så mangler der en dørstopper der og en ventil […] her – mange små ting: Ikke nedslidt – men hvis det skal beholde sin status, burde man stramme op og lave en hel masse små-reparationer. 더 보기

Form follows function ist das Credo der Innenarchitekten...doch in SIDE legt man mehr Wert auf schönen Schein als auf Funktionalität. Die Glasschiebetüren im Bad und an der Toilette schliessen nur auf einen 5cm-Spalt. Geräusche und Gerüche dringen so direkt ins Zimmer...hm, finde ich nicht so toll! Die Heizung (angeblich ein modernes System in der Decke) […] klackert die komplette Nacht hindurch, an Schlaf ist kaum zu denken. Die Dusch-Badewanne hat keinen Vorhang bzw. Tür - das Bad wird schön nass, sogar wenn man sich anstrengt, wenig Wasser herumzuspritzen. Die Designertoilette ist in der Tat gewöhnungsbedürftig und die Armaturen an der Dusche lassen sich nur schlecht exakt einstellen. Der viel zu hoch installierte Wasserhahn sorgt dafür, dass das "frei im Raum zu schweben scheinende Waschbecken" das Wasser nicht aufnehmen kann und der gesamte Waschtisch nass wird beim Händewaschen. Dafür hat man an Ablagemöglichkeiten besonders für die riesigen Handtücher im Bad gespart. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und sehr gut. 더 보기

Très bel hôtel, très contemporain. Les chambres sont tout à fait correctes ains i que la salle de bains. Le ménage est fait deux fois par jour (passage dans les chambres pendant l'heure du diner pour mettre les lits en place). Le petit déjeuner est extrèmement copieux (et même servi sous forme de brunch le samedi et le dimanche jusqu'à 14 heures). Le […] restaurant (assez cher par contre) sert de l'excellente viande. La situation dans Hambourg est très intéressante : 10-15 mn de marche pour aller au Rathaux (en passant par une rue de boutiques sympathiques) et environ 30 mn à pied du port.
