We had a great stay here. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location--very quiet part of the city but within a healthy walking distance of major attractions. We were in town for a concert at the Toyota Center, […] and walking there took about 15 minutes. My only disappointment was in the included breakfast with our room: we had 4 adults [appropriately booked and accounted for] staying in the room, and the "full breakfast" I had included with the room apparently only covered 2 people. I'm not sure if this is a common practice with hotels or a mix-up between hotels.com and Crowne Plaza, but it was definitely misleading. 더 보기

GREAT STAY. THEY DID A SPECIAL PASTA DINNER THE NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS AND WILL STAY THERE NEXT TIME I DO THE MARATHON.

I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza downtown. Service was great and the temperpedic bed was comfortable.

My gf and I stayed just for 1 night to enjoy the downtown scene and to get away from the house for a change and experienced a wonderful stay for equal pricing for a standard, boring motel. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful during our stay, even offering me extra pillows after seeing how pregnant I was. The only thing I did not like was the pool was dirty, as though the pump was not on. Every step you took you could see the dirt move and we were able to leave footprints across the bottom of the pool. My husband, teen & tween daughters & I stayed over Labor Day weekend. The hotel manager, John, was very helpful & friendly. The room was clean, mattresses were very comfortable and hotle restaurant was very good. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed the weekend at the Crowne Plaza to attend a friend's birthday party. The location was very convenient to the party location. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had read several reviews mentioning the high cost of the valet parking, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was half price for weekends. During the first night, the […] AC went out in our room. That was a big inconvenience. In the middle of summer in Houston, it gets rather hot. We had to move down the hall. The hotel did give us a room upgrade, so that was a nice gesture. They do advertise that the rooms have tempurpedic mattresses, and neither room we were in had one. The bathrooms were small spaces in both rooms. But the upgraded room did have a separate soaking tub and walk-in shower in 2 separate bathroom spaces. Good when you have more than one party trying to get ready at the same time. I would certainly recommend the upgrade for 2 or more guests. There's really no way 2 people are going to be able to comfortably get ready in the regular room's bathroom. Overall, the room situation was a bit disappointing. But the staff was very friendly and helpful even in the wee hours of the morning. 더 보기

Front Desk were very rude, We were never explained about what we were to recieve with our booking. We had to call the next morning to get information regarding our Breakfast Buffet. Valet was also very rude and did not help with our bags, The floor we stayed on 7th floor was extremely cold as our room as well. Staff was great, food and drinks were great. The only complaint was the doors to the rooms made to much noise when closed. People across the hall from us kept slamming their door until way after midnight. Hotel was very clean and well kept.

Okay, so first off, I had no idea that there was valet parking at this hotel before I booked it. I'm not sure if it's stated, but you don't actually have a CHOICE in parking. When you pull up to check in, you absolutely HAVE to have valet to get a parking spot unless you're putting your car on the streets of Houston... which I don't think is possible. […] Not only that, it's $25 per vehicle. And we had two. So if we had been staying for more than two nights, we'd have spent well over what we intended. Please be aware of this. I booked here online to guarantee my rooms (two doubles), but when I got there, the night manager told me that there were no double rooms available. This was a lie, apparently, because she gave me a deluxe suite and a handicapped room. I didn't quite understand why there were no rooms available, but when I got upset, she suddenly had rooms. It was brought to my attention at that moment that I would have to pay for valet. Fine. That was fine. I told her to charge two vehicles for two nights. I thought she did, but apparently, she only charged for one night so I ended up with a bill on the second day. The location is right next to the interstate. The interstate is confusing from where you're available to get on, but with my GPS, I had no problem. If you're looking to sight-see Houston, then this hotel is perfect. The view was okay from my room. I was on the 7th floor while the rest of my family was on the 4th. I didn't quite like that we were separated, but it was fine in the end. Outside, there was a lot of construction going on. Not quite the sight I wanted to see when I look out of the window, but I ignored it. The room itself was wonderful! I'm sure the manager didn't want to give me a deluxe suite, but considering how upset I was with my reservation being denied the first time, she settled. I had two bathrooms in one room. It was a very nice hotel, great staff, great location for going to a baseball game. What turned us off was the $12 per day parking charge along with the fact that you have to use their valet parking. No other options were ever given. Other downtown hotels I have stayed in while in other cities didnt charge for parking if you were a guest there and sure […] didnt make you use their valet parking service. The Crowne Plaza was a nice hotel, but the rates seemed a bit high for the quality. The $24.00 valet parking charge is expensive. Especially since the car sat out in the heat - usually just 15 feet away. The concierge, Johnny, was a delight and a bright spot. He recommended a couple of restaurants, got the shuttle to take us, gave a coupon for a complimentary […] appetizer at one of the restaurants and was just a terrific example of customer service. When we checked in, our desk chair was broken and you have to request a refrigerator. However, they quickly brought a new chair and a refrigerator - so it all turned out well. One night, screaming kids and slamming doors kept us up until 1 AM, but we called the front desk and security finally got everyone quiet after 30 minutes. The beds are good and we slept well. We were not happy about having to pay for valet parking. When booking online & askedfo handicap accessablity nothing was said that it was valet parking & we would have to pay for handicap parking.

This was a perfect location for our needs. We attended a wedding and the hotel provided a shuttle to and from the church and the Four Seasons where our neice's reception was held. We would be home too late that evening and wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to everything. The hotel wasw great, yet the placed us in a room next to the elevetor;which was very loud at night. Overall the hotel was clean, very nice employees, and was very close to everythin would stay again.

We live in Louisiana and went to Houston for a weekend trip. What a great stay! Everyone was so nice and the room was comfy and quiet . Love the Temper Pedic Memory Foam matress! We've always wanted to try it out! Crowne Plaza was a close walk to everything. Houston is a wonderful city! Make sure to visit Nit Noi Thia Cafe-a short walk away. I was downtown for work for two days, and I chose the Crowne Plaza solely because of its location. I was not impressed, especially given what I paid per night. No one would answer when I called room service (I finally had to walk down to the front desk and have them connect me), there was no volume on the ESPN channels in my room, and there is no wireless […] internet in the rooms. Needless to say, after checking into the hotel at 9:00 p.m. and wanting only to have a room service club sandwich for dinner while watching the bowl game and preparing for the next day's work on my computer, I was not happy. 더 보기

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for one night prior to catching a flight from Bush Intercontinental Airport. Upon check-in, the reception staff and valet were both very welcoming and very personable. Just want potential fellow travelers to this hotel to be aware that the hotel itself is just fine. But there is no free hotel parking for guests. You must either pay a twelve dollar fee(plus tax and tip) or find your own parking, which is metered everywhere. Stayed here for two nights. Hotel is located on the edge of the CBD, reasonably close to everything. Next time I'm in Houston I'll probably stay a bit more central. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful and there's a shuttle that will take you to spots close-by.

My family and I stayed one night here this weekend but wished it could have been longer. The room was very clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. My kids enjoyed the pool which was also very clean and not crowded. We appreciated the free shuttle to downtown attractions. Our only complaint was that our shuttle back to the hotel did not show […] after we called twice for a pick up and we had to catch a cab. However, the hotel gladly reimbursed us for the cab fare. This hotel was well kept. For the price and location, it was a nice stay. Clean, soft bed. Extra towels. Close to University of Houston where we were watching a Marhsall wreck the Cougars. Actually U of H took 2 of 3.

The Crowne Plaza in Downtown Houston is a fabulous place to stay. Not only is the hotel beautiful and the rooms very comfy, but its location downtown is great for seeing any of the local sites & sounds. The staff, hotel and accomodations exceeded my expectations. We arrived late and ordered room service which was delivered promptly. My only complaint is valet parking is the only way to park on site. The other option is to leave your car on the street which is not ideal for a rental car. Of course, there was a fee for the valet parking which felt like […] a ripoff. Twice the attendants forgot to give us a ticket for our car and we had a long wait while they had to identify and locate the car. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if needed. 더 보기

We loved it and wasnt far from the Minute Maid Park. Staff was very curteous.

As there is no alternative to valet parking, I wouldn't stay here again, although everything else was great. Apparently they left my lights on, which makes no sense as it was daylight when the car was parked; because when I got the car next day I was told to check out my battery as they had to push start the car. I've had no problems before or since […] this event. Evidently the battery is very strong as it started again after just 1 hour of running. My big issue with this - besides it smelled like the clutch had been abused - was that I was on my way to Galveston for the weekend without music; since the stereo is disabled as a theft-deterent when the car loses power. The brazos restaurant and bar inside the hotel was dingy and the food was terrible and extremely overpriced.
