Excellent hotel, very high standard of cleanliness...

The hotel staff were nice and friendly, I found the bed slightly uncomfortable! But the rest was good!

When we checked in, there were 2 people checking in and 2 front desk clerks working. It took almost an hour to get checked in. According to this (and other web sites) children under 12 stay free if using existing bedding. They insisted that we pay for our 5 year old and they were very rude. When we first got to the hotel it took a very long time before we got our room. After a long flight you just want to take a shower and change clothes, and not go through all the services in the hotel with the staff. Our room didn't look very clean, there were still trash left in the trash can, and lipstick on the wall in the shower. Also no bathrobes. We […] had made two bookings in advance because we discovered we needed to stay one more night after the first booking was done. The staff then said they would arrange so we didn't have to change rooms. However when we got back from a tour one day our keys didn't work. When we asked why in the reception they told us we had to pack and move in to another room despite first telling us we didn't have to. Other than that it was pretty good. To me it seeemed like a huge resort falling on hard times. At first glance it looks luxurious, but as you really look closely you see time has taken its toll on this place. I had constant problems with the free wi-fi not working. The fridge in our room did not work and we had to call and get the hair dryer replaced as it did not work either. There was no flow between the two. The gym advertised is actually in another hotel next to the Cleopatra and is not included in your room fees. You have to pay a daily rate to use it. The staff was nice and the location was convenient to many restruaunts and shops, as well as the beach. The pool was nice but closed very early each day. I had booked a room with two separate beds which I did not get. However, we were upgraded to the top floor where the balconies are much bigger and with their own pool/tub. We stayed for a week on b & b basis with one seaview room for us and one standard for the kids. The ceiling next to their a\c unit was soaking and dripping to the floor but they were promptly moved by the porter and received complimentary robes and slippers for their trouble. We had a lovely week in this hotel. Our room with it's pretty balcony, and sea view, was exactly what we requested. The room was maybe just a little on the small side, in view of the fact that everything else was on such a large scale!! The pool area was beautiful and the idea of being able to change your towel as often as you liked for just a small refundable deposit was a great idea. We did not use the facilities of the Med palace as we had more than enough to do in our hotel but we did wander through and it was very busy. Our favourite place to hang out was in The Watremelon, overlooking Las Vistas beach, and we had a great evening in Chill Out which is the restaurant just at the tunnell to the harbour. We had a really fantastic stay in this hotel for the last week of September 2011. The location cannot be beaten, it is right on the beachfront, so close to reataurants and everything we needed. There was as much freshly squeezed orange juice and cava as you would like. We ate our breakfast everyday outside by the pool reading the complimentary papers. The pool area at the Cleopatra was so peaceful, relaxed and calm even though there were a lot of people there, it didn't feel like a busy resort. It was pretty much all couples and a few golfing groups. The Mediterranean Hotel next door was more family orientated, we popped over to their pool a couple of times for a change of scenery and this was peaceful enough for us book readers! We would happily return to this hotel and recommed it. We didn't have a bad word to say! We got a great rate through Hotels.com and felt very spolied for what we received, it was way better than expected and I don't imagine there are many better hotels on the island. Check in was very quick, the lady was really helpful and gave us information on everything without us having to ask whilst we sipped cold glasses of bubbly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The poolside food isn't cheap, but nor is it expensive, we had a couple of lunches there when we didn't feel like leaving the pool to go out and really enjoyed them. The Sangria is lovely and the beer reasonably priced, kindly brought to us at the poolside, and you can put all of your spending on the room so no need to carry cash to the poolside. We had an excellent stay on the Cleopatra hotel. The staff's service was more than excellent from the first moment we arrived in the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the housekeepers did a great job. Breakfast was not bad, swimming pool was nice and quiet. Room Service dinner was also above expectations. Most recommended hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel 7 years in a row and have always been satisfied but after this year will not be going back. The new sunbeds round the pool are the most uncomfortable ever. The pool bar food which used to be good but expensive is now a disgrace. The gala dinner has been doubled in price from last year and deposits are needed for towels. Having stayed at this hotel a number of times I do feel it is value for money, clean towels and room service every day is a must for me. Location excellent for choice of days by the pool or the fab beach a stones throw away. Breakfast excellent.

We have read all reviews before choosing this hotel. They have improoved some small but important things.INTERNET connection is FREE. And safe in the room is free! It would be gteat if they have coffemaker in the room-may be next time!

Had a wonderful holiday. Hotel was really full, so we were upgraded and had a fabulous rooftop bedroom. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, near to the shops and the sun also shone, Will go back!!! Fabulous.

We stayed here in early March for a week, we are a couple in our thirties. We thought the hotel was fabulous, it was in a great location and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is located on the beach. The pool area was relaxing and there was no mad rush for sun loungers which was nice. The buffet breakfast was unbelievable, I couldn't […] imagne what more you would need. I would only have a few room for improvement notes, the coffee at breakfast wasn't very hot, the charge for the spa at €15 each per day was excessive and I felt this should have been part of the hotel stay, the rooms were painted in dated colours which was a shame as the room itself was lovely and the bathroom even more so. 더 보기

Anything you expect from hotel you have there. Perfect location, great pool, fantastic beach, close to the best retaurants in the south of the iland, very good atmosphere. Don't miss it !!!

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The complex was beautiful, clean and well kept. Our room was spacious with a mini bar, which was big enough to put our own drinks in. The shower was great, hot and powerful, big soft towels, bathrobes and slippers. The location is probably one of the best in Las Americas, right on the sea front and central to the […] shops and nightlife. The pool area was busy with mostly adults, the adjacent sister hotel Med Palace caters more for families, but you can use all their facilities. The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast. There wasn't much choice, the milk for the cereal was never cold, choice of fruit was limited, and brussel sprouts for breakfast! A much better option was to have your breakfast at the Med Palace, which was light, airy and had more choice. Although this got really busy after 9am, so get there early! Would recommend the Magic bar which is located at the front of the complex, very stylish, great atmosphere and live music every night. Loads of good restaurants across the road in the mall with the fountains. It was my birthday whilst we were there, and they gave me a birthday cake, a glass of Cava and sang to me at breakfast, which we thought was a very nice touch. Everything was excellent but the discothek next door was very noisy and our room was right next to it. Make sure to choose a room with sea view or ask at check in to avoid the rooms close to the club. Overall a nice hotel with friendly staff and great service.

Guess not many options if you want to be right in the beach in Tenerife, so this hotel does the trick. Now, the hotel it's huge beyond belief, tacky, full of people in their 60s seemingly sun-bathing all day long. Also, the room's furniture needs to be renewed urgently, and the breakfast could be better. But nothing that would disqualify the hotel […] really. Staff are quite nice and the ambience is relaxed. We stayed at the Cleopatra Hotel, Arona, Tenerife last week. Its plus point is it is literally across a walkway to the beach & is conveniently situated a walk between Las Americas & old town Los Christianos. The area is called Arona & it is filled with marble pavements, designer shops & Vegas wannabe bars. This hotel seemed just that to me. It is loosely […] themed on Roman baths, Greek Gods & Egypian Pyramids all muddled up with vulgar statues, tacky pillars & huge chandeliers. If you like constant jazz music your luck is in. They play it all day through loud speakers by the pool (not so great for my hangover!) which you can also hear from pool view rooms & they have a pianist throughout breakfast & all evening. We got a standard pool view room which was towards rear of hotel. The rooms were clean & basic. The view was a of a pyramid (or glorified brick wall) with nude statues & floodlights which didnt turn off till midnight. It was noisy till early hours from the nightclubs on road behind. We asked to change to a quieter room which they rudely & reluctently did. This was on front side nearer the beach & actually had a side seaview which was really lovely. You cant see the sea from pool view rooms as it is blocked by the block at front. Breakfast was basic, drinks expensive but you can use the ajoining hotel The Mediterranean Palace (think it's supposed to be in the theme of a big blue cruise ship!). All in all i would only ever stay at this hotel if i could afford a sea-view room & for its location. There are other much prettier, greener & less vulgar 4 & 5 star hotels on the island that we have stayed it. Depends what you like but as a 40 something couple from London we personally wanted a relaxing beach holiday & the theme should be just that. 더 보기

Fantastic hotel in great location. Only about 20 minutes by taxi from airport (Tenerife South) to door of hotel. Easy check in with glass of Cava offered while waiting. Great location next to beach and up market shops, bars and restaurants just across the road. Massive choice of places to eat & drink nearby, cheap or expensive. Nice 25 minute walk along […] prom takes you to Los Cristianos with nice shops & restaurants up the back streets. Choice of boat trips to see whales (guaranteed) and dolphins (70% chance we were told, we went on 2 hr trip (18 euros) and we did see them). We only had breakfast in the hotel which ran from 7.30 to 10.20. Choice of food was amazing with fresh sqeezed orange juice machine but hot buffet not great. Chef cooked omlettes, fried eggs etc to order which was better. Price we got on Hotels.com was great. You can also use facilities of Med Palace (pool etc) which is next door. It had entertainment nightly when we were there and was a resonable standard although a bit loud, wouldn't have liked to stay there. Only down side was that it was a bit expensive for wi-wi access (many hotels offer free) and a daily charge of over 2 euros for use of the safe in the room. Vi var 2 venner der var afsted i 8 dage, super dejligt ophold og bestemt ikke sidste gang jeg besøger dette hotel.

Har bodd på hotellet tidligere og liker det veldig godt. Skal noe negativt nevnes må det være at kvaliteten på frokosten har gått litt ned. Mat på hotellet forøvrik kjenner jeg ikke til, spiser ute på andre steder.

Fantastisk service, frukostbuffe där inget saknas. Kommer definitivt rekommendera hotellet och åka tillbaka själv.

Stort og fint hotell med de fleste fasiliteter. stille og rolig her om kveldene. Dette hotellet har samme eiere som nabo hotellet så du har derfor mulighet for å bruke fasilitetene her også. Ett toppenhotell. var där även 2011. Läget perfekt till strand, shopping och musikställen. ca. 10 minuters promenad till Los Cristianos. frukostbuffén är världsklass! Ett prisvärt hotell helt enkelt!

Alt er næsten perfekt på dette dejlige hotel bortset fra noget gammelt og nedslidt møblement på værelserne. Det var 2.gang vi gæstede hotellet, og vi kommer helt sikkert igen når inventaret er udskiftet.

Отель расположен в одной из лучших частей города на первой береговой линии – море буквально через пешеходную дорожку, на которой (в отличие от большей части набережной) не громоздятся бесчисленные магазинчики. Тем не менее вдоль моря буквально под окнами номеров с sea-view постоянно прогуливаются толпы людей, что дает проживающим в них (особенно на […] первых этажах) почувствовать себя героями передачи «за стеклом». При этом балконы очень маленькие и практически не изолированы друг от друга, поэтому соседи тоже будут в курсе того, что у вас происходит – тем кто оберегает свою личную жизнь придется жить за закрытыми шторами. Однако номер sea-view это далеко еще не худший вариант, потому что окна большинства номеров в этом отеле выходят на соседние улицы, либо вообще на внутренний двор, где гости отеля могут бесплатно припарковать свои машины. Правда парковка очень маленькая, и если не успеть занять на ней место, машине придется искать место на улице. Сам отель построен с помпезным размахом – мраморные лестницы, фонтаны в самых неожиданных местах, при этом мебель в номерах явно давно не обновлялась, что выглядит немного смешно на фоне общей показной слегка провинциальной роскоши. Персонал на ресепшен очень внимателен, чего нельзя сказать о безучастных к гостям отеля официантах – кофе приходилось безуспешно ждать по полчаса. Тем не менее для Тенерифе этот отель далеко не худший вариант, и близость моря многое компенсирует. 더 보기

Location: Quite good access to the beach. Public beach is just in front of the hotel. If your main purpose is to be on the beach, this hotel has significant advantage. Also you can find many restaurants around the hotel as well.
