The hotel was not 4 Star. The location is good but the bathroom door wouldn't stay open, the toilet flush sprayed water, the a.c. Didn't work well, the shwer head was bad. The view and bed were the only good things about the room.

Good location for the most interesting parts of Hollywood, short drive to Universal Studios. Hotel very comfortable but charge for wifi is very expensive at $12.95. All other hotels on our trip had free wifi, and this was the most expensive hotel we booked so expected some perks such as free wifi.

We stayed here for Oscar weekend and it was great. The location and the rooms were perfect and walking distance to the Kodak theater.

Very convenient to all the attractions. Clean and comfortable. I am not used to all the valet service and the subsequent tipping, but if that is not a concern for you this is a beautiful hotel that allows you to walk to almost all Hollywood attractions.

Definitely will return!

The hotel was perfect for our family vacation. All staff were extremely helpful and, though there were very few other children in the hotel, we were made to feel very welcome. Wished I had more time to enjoy the spa and work out area. The breakfast buffet was excellent along with the service. It was a little pricey but I guess that is Calif.

Location! Perfect location to visit Hollywood. We booked the Executive Large Room and we were impressed. They provided us with two king size beds, can easily accommodate 4 people. Definitely recommend this place if you want to visit Hollywood.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. Location is perfect. Located just next to Hollywood Blvd, it is situated right next to a shopping/eating complex. From there you have the Blvd which is just a walk away. It is just 15 mins drive away from Universal Studios & approx 15-20 mins away from many shopping destinations/outlets. When checking in, we were […] given the option to upgrade to a suite that was very spacious for 3 people, which gave us access to a Club lounge (with free breakfast and wifi, mags/tv, coffee). We also had the perfect view of the Hollywood sign from our hotel room. The only thing I can fault is when we were given the option to upgrade our room to a suite, this would include in-room internet and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We used these services as we thought it was included in the upgrade. However, this was not the case. It was not made clear to us that the free breakfast and internet was in the Club Lounge only. We therefore had to pay for these services on top of the upgrade! The hostess however was nice enough to waive the internet charges when we brought this to their attention. The Renaissance is ideally located for those that want to spend a day exploring Hollywood. It is situated just off Holywood Blvd and next to the Koday theatre so all of the Hollywood things you need to see (eg walk of fame, Chinese Theatre etc are right next door). The hotel itself is a typical 4 star establishment - clean, efficient but lacking in […] atmophere. There is no free internet connection anywhere in the hotel - ie not even in the lobby and the buffet breakfast was ok .. but if it is not included in your rate then you are probably better off going to one of the other restaurants/coffee shops nearby. Finally be careful of the taxi fare from LAX ... it cost us nearly $70. Better to get the hotel concierge to organise a super shuttle for $16 pp 더 보기

Nice rooms, good food and helpful staff.

The level of service was amazing! It was our 1 year anniversary and I called ahead to have flowers delivered to the room. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite and we not only found flowers but chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champaign! WOW!!! LOVE this hotel and will stay again...

close to hollywood blvd and nightlife

Very nice hotel in the middle of the Hollywood "scene." There's a lot of things to do and to see that are a walkable distance.

If you are going to The Kodak, Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theatre and are looking for a great hotel that is right in the middle of the action on Hollywood blvd, the Renaissance if the place for you. They are in the same complex as the Kodak and have a shuttle to Hollywood Bowl. there are tons of great restaurants right near the hotel. It came down to choosing here or the W in Hollywood, and I'm happy with my decision. If you're planning on clubbing at Drais 100%, then maybe choose the W. As far as this hotel, everything was on point. Comfortable room and bed, the staff was courteous, and best of all- the location. Nice hotel, fantastic location. Easy to get everywhere and use the self park option rather than Valet for an easy saving as they park car in same place but $20 cheaper!

I have to say when I saw the review "bugs bugs bugs" I was hesitant about staying here, but noticed that everyone else had nothing but nice things to say about this hotel. Well I'm happy to report there were no bugs in our room or anywhere else in the hotel from what I could see. In fact it was very clean. This hotel is an overpriced, glorified Holiday Inn. I would never stay here again. They charged me an upgrade to look at an alley with a view of some houses. Total rip off. This hotel is very luxurious, the swimming pool is heated and clean, and the bar food is top notch too. Its central location is ideal for sight-seers, but it's also quiet and low key so you can actually get some sleep and you won't feel like you're in the middle of all the madness. The Renaissance is perfect for a night in Hollywood, especially if you're going to the Hollywood Bowl. The shuttle bus picks up and drops off immediately next to the hotel. Easy access to several sites. Hotel had the best service compared to rest of the LA area. And the best bed I ever slept on.

Clean room and professional staff puts this hotel in the top list in my travel. One of the four great hotels to stay in the Hollywood area.

this was my worst experience ever. they hounded ,e constantly. it was a roach motel. i will never stay here again, or recomend it. i want my money back.

My husband and I enjoyed our brief stay before we went on our cruise. The hotel was close to all the Hollywood sights, shopping, restaurants and close to the world famous Magic Castle which we visited. We got a room right where we wanted 18th floor. We could see the Hollywood sign and all the way towards downtown LA. great view day at night. The pool was fun with the kids, cabana made me feel special. This is my first trip to Hollywood, and I don't have any clue about the location, attractions, etc. Fortunately, the hotel's location is perfect !! It's right in the centre of all attractions in hollywood boulevard... I only need to take a walk to visit all the attractions in hollywood boulevard from the hotel...
