댄포즈 호텔 앤드 마리나 (Danfords Hotel and Marina) - 포트 제퍼슨

Loved the shower. The bed was very comfortable. They gave me a room on the street which was loud. People entering the hotel could look into my room. The room service was not very good. The staff were very nice. The room was clean and the location was well worth any of the issues.

The location is beautiful - and so convenient - right on the water in scenic Port Jeff. But that's where the good stops... The first problem was when we arrived and went to check in. Our reservation was for a King bed -- they had us in a room with 2 double beds. It took them nearly 20 minutes to find us a room. We then went to our room and discovered […] that it overlooked a dumpster and the blinds would not close. After working with the front desk, we finally were given a new room. The rooms are spacious and clean, but very loud making it difficult to get any sleep. Our reservation indicated "free onsite parking" - however what that really means is that there is free parking in the area IF you can find a spot. We circled for nearly 20 minutes on Friday night and finally had to park blocks away from the hotel and walk in. And the icing on the cake was when we arrived for breakfast on Sunday morning and were told that breakfast was not included (even though our reservation said it was). After trying to explain to the waitress that it was supposed to be included, she simply told me it was not -- and was then befuddled when I didn't want to pay $9.95 for a continental breakfast. Hotel is right off the Port Jefferson Ferry. Convenient for walking to all local atractions. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

sheets are not clean to use the ramp to the front door ,one has to walk by two trash dumpsters not good for the image of this high priced hotel.parking is $7 a day.

A few things could have been better. For instance, the parking. Why did I pay $7 a day for parking if some of the time I had to park on the street due to the tiny parking lot (relative to the hotel) being full? Also, the air conditioner in our room was completely busted. The first five minutes we were there, we had to call the front desk for service. […] They didn't know about the disrepair of the AC ahead of time? The hotel was located right by the marina so my kids enjoyed the view of the boats while walking around the hotel area. The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly. We asked for an earlier check-in and and a later check-out and they were very accomodating. The only complaints I have are that they only had […] a shower area, no bathtub (so a little harder to bath my 1 year old) and their ice machine was broken. There are a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance. And if you have to drive, the hotel provides a "parking pass" to use so that you don't have to pay for parking if you drive around that area and park at one of their designated parking spots. 더 보기

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the room was large and very comfortable. The location was excellent, situated right in the centre of Port Jefferson which is a busy village with many nice shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel , price was reasonable

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The only thing we where unhappy with was the ariconditioning, it was not in order. Good food, nice beach and helpful staff. i can recomend this hotel to everyone

The Hotel was very convenient to the ferry. It was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Nice hotel - clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Unfortunately, the shower was barely room temperature water - not ice cold, but NOT hot. Mentioned it to management at checkout but they did not offer any explanation or compensation. Disappointed in that - if we go again we will check the hot water immediately on checking in.

The Inn is right on the ocean where the ferry goes to Conn. We would also recommend the Wave restaurant in the hotel. There are many good places to eat in Port Jeff. as well as a nice theatre.

I haven't been to Danfords in a few years and was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful the rooms were, for they must of been recently renovated. The only thing that would of made it nicer was if the weather was warmer and I could of enjoyed the balcony. Port Jefferson is a great village and the hotel location was very close to all the nightlife. Although […] I live only a few miles away from Port Jefferson, I felt like I was on a mini vacation. The Dansford Marina Hotel is beautiful located on the marina. There were shops and restaurants and pubs within walking distance. I will be using this hotel whenever I return to Port Jefferson, NY. I highly recommend it.

We had a lovely but all-too-short stay. The continental breakfast, which we did not expect, was particularly nice. Although we were in a building across the street from the main building, we still had a water view. Strongly recommended,.

tv not functional, engineer came but result was bad picture. Air conditioner vent made a knocking sound all night that kept waking us...not much sleep!

When we arrived in Port Jefferson by ferry from Bridgeport , Connecticut, my wife (who has travelled the world) exclaimed: "wow, look at that place." My response was" "that's where we are staying." Need I say more? We had a top floor room facing the water (Long Island Sound) with lots of space, desk with computer docking station/equipment, comfortable […] lounge chairs and an extremely comfortable, king size bed. The room had a balcony with chairs and table overlooking the marina and water. It was a very lovely "Key West-style" building and facility. The room was oddly shaped, being built somewhat into the roof structure, but it all added to the special atmosphere of the hotel. This is a really nice place in a town full of great restaurants, shops, and some interesting Revolutionary War history. We stayed two nights and will return sometime soon. It is very nice, and when compared to near-by hotels is actually priced quite right. 더 보기

We spent the night at the Dansford and it was very nice. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

We stayed across the street in the "Galley" building - on the first floor - although the room was very comfortable, there is quite a bit of street noise. The restaurant is fabulous - what an inspired chef. We ate dinner there both evenings.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. The restaurant offered an excellent menu (the specials were excellent), with a good wine list. Hotel was located within walking distance to a variety of shops and other restaurants(try Z pita for breakfast or lunch).

Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay, and the room was very comfortable. Rain head shower and recently upgraded bathroom. Only caveat is make sure they don't put you above the bar area which can be a bit noisy.

Beautiful area, renovated rooms except for AC units which sound like a 747 landing

The staff, the room, the view were all fantastic!

Our room was excellent, very comfortable bed and the room itself was large. The only downfall was that it overlooked a huge dumpster out of very large window. I simply closed the blinds, but if you are looking for a room with a view, be careful about which room you book! We were in the Galley building, across the street from the main hotel.

Kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell nära det mesta på Long Island samt smidigt att ta båten över när man skulle vidare längs kusten. Sov verkligen skönt och rummet var mycket fint

Port Jefferson i august, er en by der, hvis man skal sammenligne den med danske forhold, minder om Skagen om sommeren. Et rigt byliv, gode reaturanter, masser af musik og noget larm (også på selve hotellet - i baren og selskabslokalerne). Helt umuligt at finde en P-plads downtown i weekenden om aftenen :-) Der er en herlig atmosfære og som en slags […] indgang til Long Island (vi sejlede fra Bridgeport, CT for at køre videre næste dag), er det et godt sted at starte. Selv hotellet er dejligt, men er spredt over et stort areal, i mange forskellige huse. Derfor skal man være helt eksplicit hvis man vil have havudsigt. Hvis man derimod gerne vil have lidt ro omkring sig ved sengetid har man også muligheden for at få et værelse der imødekommer det. PÅ værelset mangler der ingenting, og der var nydeligt rengjort da vi ankom. Personalet (check in)var meget informative, servicemindede og imødekommende. Alt i alt, en rigtig god oplevelse - søger man lidt rolig afslappende atmosfære, bør man vælge andre byer. 더 보기
