We stayd at Threadneedles for a long weekend. City might not be the obvious starting point for this and the hotel and its surroundings are more geared towards the business segment. This is top notch. The real deal.

Good location lovely area 3 mins walk from the central line & 6 mins walk from Liverpool street which has the Central, Hammersmith & City, Circle & Metropolitan lines. Lovely hotel didnt have any food except the free apples in the hotel :)

Had a very nice stay here one weekend in January, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Being so close to the city it was very quiet at the weekend; Bonds was closed but it was only a short walk to Bank Tube station so it was not a problem.

I cannot fault this hotel on any facility that we used.We were staying for one night to see a show and combine a little business. We arrived quite early i believe approx. 1.30 p.m.and was greeted by three members of staff with a pleasant smile and "good afternoon".At reception we were imediately checked in and told that our room was ready.Having been […] escorted to our room, everything was explained to us about the room and the use of the keycard etc.The room and bathroom were extreemly large for a London hotel. The bed was really comfortable and roomy.The bathroom had a bath and separate shower facility and all the usual extras and included a small t.v.When we returned from the show,I asked at reception for further supplies of milk and coffee which was duly brought to our room( the filter coffee was excellent)The beds had been turned down and two large bottles of complimentary still water were beside the bed with an ice bucket.( We loved the old fashioned bottle tops. brought back memories of when we were young)We decided to ring for room service for some sandwiches and chips and was told that it would be about twenty minutes.This arrived as stated.Really tasty but if I had to fault anything it was that the chips ( the thinner variety)were a lttle cold. The price was very good. Cannot comment on the bar or restaurant or the breakfast which at nearly £23 each, I felt was a little too much but I'm sure it would have been lovelly.The hotel is only a five minute walk from Bank station but do be aware that you need to take the third exit for Threadneedle Street. ( There are so many exits from this station ) Good reliable bus service to other parts of London including St Pauls,Victoria,Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street to name a few (there is a 24hour night bus for this area. The staff at the Threadneedles hotel went out of their way to help in every way possible. The hotel itself I would say is slightly overpriced generally. The room however was very well equipped and very clean. Having spent an unjustifiable amount of time researching the many hotels offered through late deals available on line, I am relieved to be able to say that Threadneedles was all the justification we needed! If like us you have children and have been offered 18 hours of freedom, then you will understand how important it is to get the details right before […] embarking on making the most of that time. I'm not sure that I felt the hotel to be as 'boutiquey' as I expected but in comparison to many of the other soulless chain hotels that we could have opted for, this one offered some sort of quirky charm. Really pleased with the room and when my husband thought the iron was broken and called for help, the very accommodating porter showed not even the slightest sneer as he pointed out the button that my husband should have pressed. The bed was beautifully comfortable, everything worked perfectly and couldn't fault any thing. I will say though, not sure what the three granny smith apples in the room were all about. Wouldn't touch them if I were you...you'd think they might opt for a couple of nice English Cox Apples instead! Or something else edible!! We would stay again, but maybe try for 24 hours next time, so that we could take advantage of all those fantastic sounding facilities available to use elsewhere...or would that be asking too much! 더 보기

Good location but difficult to find as hotel has no sign. Identification made by number that's not big enough or significantly displayed. Friendly and helpful staff. Room very nice and confortable to sleep in with little noise despite hotel being in middle of city.

Normally, I'm not one for hotel charm and service. I typically see hotels as a place to sleep and, maybe, eat. But this hotel had a lot of charm, especially for being in a business district. I took my mother on a mother daughter trek through europe for two weeks and by the time we arrived in London, we were exhausted. Luckily we got to Threadneedle Hotel and the staff was extremely amiable in helping bring our luggage to our room and helping us get settled in right away. The room itself was gorgeous. High ceilings, large bathroom, beautiful […] closet and a violet umbrella you could borrow for the rain, iPod music player, complimentary newspaper/water/apples/magazines, intro to London books and more. it truly felt like a luxurious home away from home with just the right combination of English class and a modern feel. Finally, there are some choices among hotel properties in and near the City, other than around the Barbicon wasteland. For pure luxury and a true boutique hotel, Threadneedles is definitely the best, the prices are consistent with that fact. The neighborhood is dead at night, but that's not why you stay there. Apart from the cost, the only drawbacks […] are (1) in the effort to personalize service, the cumbersome check-in and check-out process can generate a substantial queue at peak hours. Since, in fact, there is no means of establishing a queue, it can be comical to see alpha bankers and lawyers milling around the small ante-lobby jockeying to be next to be serviced by the lovely ladies manning the reception desk. (2) Whilst close to the Bank/Mansion House Tube stops and within an easy walk of most of the City, the hotel suffers from sparse cab traffic along Threadneedle Street proper, and the door staff consists of one oddly-attired gent who seems more concerned with security than service. 더 보기

This is a lovely hotel. I work in London but live in the country. I had been to the bar before, and knew colleagues who had stayed there on business. This was my first time staying there. Competent business hotel with lobby turned into a rather noisy bar. I'd describe the room decor as 1980's Swiss, obviously been made over recently but with vestiges of the old veneer still showing. Good breakfast at Mercers just down the road ..

I booked this hotel after recommendation from my daughter. The reception was well staffed and welcoming although I was surprised not to be offered assistance with opening the heavy main door to enter/exit the hotel. I was disappointed not to receive my booked my early morning. The shower temperature did not reach more than tepid. Commençons par le positif, la gentillesse du service et la beauté architecturale du hall d'entrée. Pour le reste, l'hôtel ne semblait pas bondé, normal la city était fermée mais on nous a donné une chambre avec vue sur les travaux (situé à 1,5m), on pouvait presque serrer la main des ouvrier de chantier (donc bruit tôt et discrétion limitée..), pas […] de vue sur la ville de cette chambre on m'en a alors proposée une autre au double du prix! La télécommande ne fonctionnait pas bien, on m'a expliqué qu'elle avait beaucoup servi et que malgré les nettoyages fréquents des touches elle avait des ratés. La connection ipod n'était pas présente dans la chambre. Enfin la situation pour faire du tourisme pas top car excentrée même si le quartier a beaucoup de charme architecturalement. Les restaurants ne sont pas ouverts tous les jours à cet endroit et pas beaucoup de choix. A déconseiller donc 더 보기

Rommet var greit og romslig, men air condition stod på full speed og var ikke mulig å justere-veldig kaldt på rommet. Das Threadneedles Hotel liegt leider etwas abseits der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten ist aber gut an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel angeschlossen. On peut toujours mieux faire, mais en attendant,... pas d'hésitation si vous obtenez un bon tarif pour un séjour dans cet hotel, allez-y les yeux fermés : c'est un 'Bon' hotel. We had 2 nights at this excellent hotel. Beautiful room with very comfortable bed. The service was great, and we got what we needed at all times. Spotless room, and very nice staff. Recommended.

Meget pænt og nydeligt hotel. Rolige, varme og hyggelige omgivelser. Værelserne var rigtig hyggelige, og sengen meget komfortabel. Lækre badeaccessories såsom shampoo og shower gel. Morgenmaden var lækker, med et bredt udvalg lige fra traditionel english breakfast til en energi menu bestående af jordbær/banan smoothie, frugt, friskbagt brød, pålæg og […] marmelade. Jag bodde har en helg tillsammans med min fru. Hotellet ordnade med allt vi behovde. Valdigt bra service. Det enda jag kan klaga pa egentligen ar stoleken pa rummet vi fick. Det var lite for litet aven for ett standardrum.

Fraai hotel met imposante lobby en indrukwekkend vormgegeven. Het hotel is in een oud pand gecombineerd met moderne inrichting en designmeubels. Heel smaakvol. De kamer heeft geen openslaande ramen. Slapen met airco heeft niet onze voorkeur. Het grote bed was perfect evenals flatscreen. Zelfs een extra flatscreen in de badkamer. Het hotel heeft een […] restaurant gedeelte en een bar. Het restaurant wederom erg fraai, schitterend hoog plafond maar op vrijdagavond om 21.00 toch erg leeg voor zó'n grote ruimte. Doordat er weinig rechtstreeks daglicht binnenkomt in het restaurant en lobby heb je bijna geen idee wat zich buiten het hotel afspeelt, dat is welliswaar persoonlijk, maar geeft een soort opgesloten gevoel.
