This is a really beautiful resort with lovely rooms and great recreation and dining. We stay in lots of nice resorts but this was a treat with its quality location and service. The only down side was we agreed to the 90 minute "no pressure" tour and 3 hours later and pass off to 5 sales people was crazy! Playa Grande is a terrific hotel in a great location. Everything is first class and the service was attentive but low key. The rooms are spacious with full kitchens and balconies with water views. Excellent experience. Great service and facilities. Very well maintained. Special recognition for Enrique the Bell man at the entrance to the hotel, who went out of his way to assist us throughout our stay.

This property is located right in town so it easy to get away from the resort and explore on foot. We stayed on the Ridge which affords the guest a wonderful view of the marina. The pools were great and the service attentive. A couple issues, acces to the Ridge suites from the street was limited . Only open from noon to midnight. My second time staying here in 6 months! Great place to vacation!!

The hotel was not clearly marked from the road and we had to circle for more than 30 minutes before we tried a side road and found the hotel. once we arrived we checked in, but then we were led to another agent that would not give us our keys to the room unless we sat with them and discussed the timeshare presentations that they gave. It was Christmas […] Eve and I had been traveling all day and just wanted to relax by the pool. We told them we were not interested in purchaseing additional timeshare and they still wanted us to sit though their presentation. We had to ask many times to have our keys and to just let us go. Finally we got our keys and tried to relax for the rest of the day. Not fun during check in, but once we were there it was a nice place. 더 보기

After staying at the Hilton resort which was located in the corridor a bit far from Cabo we decided to stay our last couple of nights close to town so we could walk to the marina for our fishing and boating activities or stumble back to the room if we decided to enjoy some drinks. Regardless of the fact that you can't swim in the water due to the currents, the beach itself is nice and it makes up for it. The downsides to the hotel would be that the check in process is pretty annoying. You stand in a cattle line, then after you wait & check in , you must then check in again with your hostess who then attempts to sell you on their time shares. The lady was nice enough, but we were really tired and just wanted to get into our room and nap so we could enjoy the town later. Our room was great, clean, nice, well decorated and spacious with a kitchenette and full size fridge. Unfortunately apart from the nice room the hotel itself does not have well appointed areas to enjoy the property aside from the beach. The pool area is poorly designed and overcrowded. They have a pretty cool swim up bar but it is located in the "family" kiddie pool,, how that makes sense I dont know. The service pool side was painfully slow. While they had an adult pool and jacuzzi, it still had kids in and around it, making it a bit loud and less enjoyable. The main lobby is beautiful, but there is absolutely no place for guests to sit and enjoy it because of all the time share tables around the perimeter. The bar area is very cold, off to the side, no comfortable seating and again not inviting to enjoy the way they have it set up. Overall the service was just not up to par with what we would expect from the star rating, bar & server staff was very slow, front desk & concierge not super knowledgable or overly helpful,, very C team. Very nice place, but I have a complaint about the pools.The pools designated as ADULTS ONLY still had kids coming to them, and when I complained to the Hotel staff they just shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do about it. Also the lower level pool was not very clean, lots of garbage and debris in the water.

Playa Grande was really everything we could ask for. Gorgeous resort with many pools, beautiful oceanfront (though it is not swimmable due to the dangerous riptide), and a short walk to the marina and many great restaurants downtown. Took them up on the all-inclusive deal for part of the stay, and it was great, but probably only worth it to those who […] (a) drink a lot and (b) really want to veg out at the hotel. One can eat and drink pretty cheaply in Cabo all over town. The room was gorgeous. I would recommend asking to be on a higher floor (where you can see the ocean over the courtyard palm trees and buildings). I would avoid the newer "Ridge" section which faces the marina and is quite a distance from most of the resort's attractions. I rented the Presidential Suite at Playa Grande for myself and two friends over Memorial Day weekend, so this review is probably not indicative of your average room experience. However, the hotel was beautiful, the service outstanding, and the room was literally right on the beach - I couldn't have asked for more. For whatever reason, the hotel was […] actually quite empty the first two days we were there, so there was plenty of room at the pool, the bar was never packed, and the staff were especially accomodating. Of course, this also meant that the clubs in Cabo were rather empty as well. Pros: Not a single mention of a time-share pitch (possibly because I'm quite young), walking distance to the marina and bars/clubs, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and grounds, I lost my wallet on the beach and the staff found and returned it to me (minus the small amount of cash that was in it, but that wasn't a big deal), tons of beach access Cons: The restaurants aren't that good and are quite pricey, the airport shuttle is a ripoff (we rented a car for about half the price), you have to pay for fitness center and internet, ridiculous deposits for a lockbox lock and pool towel cards, mostly older tourists and families (was hoping for more people our age), the pool setup is a bit weird (three levels instead of one bigger pool) Bottom line: I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and I highly recommend Playa Grande to anyone with a bit of cash to spend on a hotel in Cabo. 더 보기

First time in Cabo and definitely will go back. Playa Grande is a top-notch hotel. From the minute I arrived until the moment I left, I felt pampered. The staff is super kind, they will help you make the most of your time in Cabo San Lucas. They did not have a studio when I arrived so I was upgraded to a Master Suite at the Ridge (newest part of the […] hotel). Great room, everything was perfect. Super comfortable bed, 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms, kitchen is modern and is equipped with everything you need if you want to stay in and cook anything from a snack to a multi-course meal. The pools are beautifully maintained and the entertainment staff really make it that much more fun. The fish tacos and the shrimp quesadillas poolside at the Ridge are awesome!! I can't say enough about this hotel, I don't think that there is a single room with a bad view--my room faced the marina and at night you could see the restaurants and bars around the marina lit up. If you're looking to do nothing or everything or somewhere in between, this is the place to do it. You are far enough from the marina that the late night noise won't keep you awake, but you are only steps to the marina if you want to stumble home after an all night party. A tip to anyone traveling to Cabo, pack your sunscreen--it's expensive no matter where you go, and at the Deli inside Playa Grande, you will pay $24!! Another tip, DO NOT withdraw American dollars from the ATMs. You will be charged a higher exchange rate than the going rate--trust me!! Withdraw pesos from the ATM if you need cash! A $260 withdrawal cost me $50!! Just don't do it! And don't bother exchanging your dollars at the airport, they give you a lousy rate and American dollars are accepted everywhere so there's no need to convert. 더 보기

This is the second time we have stayed at the Playa Grande. It is a great resort and the location to the marina is excellent. We love the resort and would definitely stay there again.

We expected better sleeping accommodations for our family of 5! The room comfortably slept 4, but we paid plenty extra for an "extra" person, but sleeping in a small "murphy" bed was quite uncomfortable for grown children! Otherwise this place was perfectly stunning and great great location! Great spa treatments, great beach. Great pools, great food. […] Perfect for family. The grounds and the unit are first class, 5 star rating! Check in and out are very slow, they need more people at the front desk. People go out at 6:00 a.m. to save seats around the pool with their towels and don't show up until 10:00 or 11:00. don't know how you monitor that. Loved walking the beach! Food was good!
