I spent one night at the hotel when in transit to Bonaire. Since I spent most of the day exploring Willemstad, I did not take advantage of the hotel pools,casino, or other amenities. This hotel with its restored Dutch Colonial Caribbean buildings readily qualifies for its 4* rating. The slave museum is a must-see for any visitors. The variety of food offered caters for every palate. The hotel's location is ideal with proximity to the 'floating bridge', shopping, dining and downtown. The hotel is beautiful, although we found it difficult to find in the dark. However, that may have been due to being tired and an a new country. Most of the people at the hotel were extremely nice. Note that there is an extra charge when you check in (which I don't see on my charges for my card, so not sure what it was for) and that if you eat at the […] hotel, there is a surcharge plus tax. The hotel grounds are beautiful and if you want to be close to shopping, this is the place. We did take the van ride to the sister hotel, which is almost an hour away. It also is a beautiful hotel, but their beach is pretty small and unless you get there early, you are in the sun since there are only 4 areas with shade. Back to the Spa & Casino Hotel, the rooms are beautiful. We had the smallest room they offer and it was fine for 2 people. The bathroom is gorgeous. However, be sure to keep the bathroom door shut at night since the windows in the bathroom do not have glass. We did not do so at first and I woke up to mosquitos buzzing me. There were also small ants in the bathroom, but they seemed to mind their own business. Overall, the hotel was great. the hotel was wonderful, location was in walking distance to everything we wanted to do.The breakfast was good open air dining under the trees,the birda were colorful and the n oise from all of them was magical. we will return to this hotel.

We had an awesome time at this beautiful hotel. the location was great and we enjoyed the facilities of this unique hotel. we can highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

I only stayed at this hotel for one night, so I can't talk much about its amenities. My room was pretty amazing, clean and spacious. The village looked great and I saw quite a few people dining outdoor at one of their restaurants. The casino was outdated but I had a great time playing with the locals and even won some money.

If you're in town for a couple days it's a great hotel. Wouldn't want to stay for extended amount of time. Hotel layout is beautiful! Don't get a room next to the 'square' if you want a quiet room.

one night about 1 o'clock there was noise of people screaming loud. We at 263. We saw security quards walking but after 10 minutes itwas gone. In the morining we asked but nobody knows.

This Hotel was a nightmare and not what I thought it was from the advertising and info on this website. The room was old and rediculous with issues. I have no time to write all of them and about how happy I was to leave this place. I travel thruout the caribean and use this website alot so I am being more carefull when choosing a place. I chose the hotel because I was under the mistaken impression that it was a nice place in a good location. Unfortunately:, the shower was barely above freezing, the mosquitos were so bad I am now covered in bites, and the food is not good. A tip: stay at The Lodge. My husband and I recently visited this hotel on our honeymoon. The hotel is very unique. There are sculptures and artwork all throughout. The pools are beautiful. The location is great. When we arrived, they had beverages waiting for us. Everynight we had chocolate truffles on our pillows. Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful. Aaron, at the front desk, is a gem. He helped us locate attractions and rental cars and recommended a great sailing trip. If you are looking for more than a cookie cutter, Carribean hotel, then you will absolutely love this hotel. MY EXPERIENCE AT kURA HULANDA WAS GOOD. It's location was close enough but far enough to do the things you chose to do. The management was quite professional and efficient. We chose the Kura Hulanda for two reasons: the prices offered (perhaps only through Hotels.com, I don't know) were too good to pass up, for one, and, then there was considerable sentimentality in the choice, as I was raised in that part of town, not two blocks away. I will tell of one incident that impressed me: the morning after arrival, I called the front desk too report that the wifi didn't work, and it turned out that the signal was too weak to reach that part of the hotel -- the hotel is spread out over several city blocks. An hour later a fellow appeared with an ethernet cable, as promised over the phone. This hotel is a gem. The rooms are in small refurbished individual buildings. This hotel feels like you are staying in a friend's home/guest house. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and very well air conditioned. When you stay here, you are literally a 1-10 minute walk from EVERYTHING in Willemstad. If you are staying here for the beach, […] there is not one BUT the sister property (45 minutes away) has a free shuttle. It is beautiful but isolated. I would suggest going into the town of Otrobanda and buying water in bulk at the grocery store or bringing a water bottle and filling up in your room (the water is better tasting than that found in many US cities!) . Go to Angelica's Delights. It is 2 blocks away. Go to the main market and have food with the locals! The Kura Hulanda museum is interesting (I toured it during the rains; takes about 1-2 hours). Interestingly, the hotel is on the tour route for the island tour. I did not eat at the restaurants (I ate all over town) but I did have drinks in the main square when the steel drum band was playing. Be prepared for island time. You are on vacation. 더 보기

Highly recommended. bars and restaurants on the premises. Clean, comfortable. Shuttles to the beach. Walk to all of Wilemstad. Highly recommended unique experience in small luxary hotel!

the hotel is very unusual, the rooms are part of the several centuries old former slave housing. The grounds of the hotel are very secure, it looks like a small piece of city within city. Sleeping quarters are intelaced with restaurants, cafes, 2 swimming pools, gifts store, museum, spa. This hotel was absolutley the coolest and cutest hotel I have ever stayed in. It was adorable. The only downside was that my trip was very shorty and I couldn't stay loner! :( I will definatley be back.

Booked this hotel for honeymoon since both of us wanted more local experience than beach resort experience. Would reccommend if you want local setting. Would not stay there though; rather try somewhere else. The good: Hotel is located at safe location very accessible to excitement of downtown. We experienced both local flavors and tourist flavors. […] Hotel has sister location that is a beach resort and provides free shuttle service to the sister location. It also provides free shuttle to a local beach. Food at hotel was good except for the breakfast (see below in the bads). The bad: Staff at this hotel were not very friendly; there were very few "hello or how are you" so we wondered why. Turns out that hotel adds a 12% service charge to every bill but this service charge is then split between hotel and staff. Therefore, staff wasn't getting full pay for their service. You would have to add extra gratuity that would only go to the staff. Breakfast started out good during the first day there. But later, we saw that hotel never got fresh food. Tomatoes and cucumbers were all spoiled towards end of week. The ugly: Do not waste your money on the spa!!! 더 보기

este hotel esta situado cerca de estacion de auto bus, tiene dos salidas hacia el pueblo la mas utilizada esta a 1 cuadra del muelle desde unas de las habitaciones se puede ver la llegada de los cruceros tiene una situacion geografica impresionante muy familiar y acogedor lo recomiendo 100%

Para a perfeição faltou um maior cuidado com a limpeza das piscinas, no mais, excelente.

El Kura Hulanda es el mejor sitio que pudimos haber escogido para pasar nuestras vacaciones en Willemstad. Esta muy bien ubicado y tiene magnificas instalaciones.

Anbefales. Se mine tidligere anmeldelser. Dette er et alldeles utmerket hotell. Har bodd der ca. 20 ganger. Men det er 95%+ fullt i jula. Samt at cruisebåtene legger til St. Anna-bukten slik at det blir litt støy da. Vil heller anbefale opphold der i feb etter karneval eller om høsten når det er mindre folk.

Vel verd pengene - som vanlig ved Kura Hulanda.

hotellene jeg har bodd på uansett hvor (pga jobb bor ca 100 døgn i året på hotell over hele verden). Jeg har bodd her ca. 15 ganger, og det er mitt førstevalg på Curacao. Avila Beach er vel det som kommer nærmest blant alternativene på øya. Kura Hulanda er et unikt hotell, hvor man har rennovert (i 1998-1999) en rekke bygninger. Meget gode svømmebasseng […] og fasiliteter generelt. God mat og utmerket room service. Trivelige folk som arbeider der med en service-innstilling. 100% trygt. Gratis raskt nett. Ligger midt i byen (Otrobanda-siden), og via broen er man i Punda på 5 min til fots. Dette hotellet anbefales på det sterkeste! 더 보기

Estivemos neste hotel e achamos ótimo! O quarto tem um bom tamanho e o mobiliário é antigo sem ser velho. Fomos muito bem atendidos todas as vezes que precisamos. O hotel ocupa um quarteirão inteiro e é muito bem cuidado. Com certeza voltaria a me hospedar nele!

El personal de la recepcion no era muy amable. Pero del restaurante Indio si eran muy atententos, la comida y el servicio excelente.

Mooi hotel waarbij rekening is gehouden met de oude nostalgische koloniale tijd. Mooie entourage in een relaxte sfeer. De kamer was prima alleen een klamboe zou geen overbodige luxe zijn. Desondanks was het verblijf prima en heb er geen spijt van.

o atendimento no LODGE é bem mellhor do que o hotel na cidade. As pessoas são mais simpáticas, prestativas e dão todas as informações necessárias para uma estadia agradabilíssima! O hotel na cidade tem uma estrutura excelente, mas nos passou a sensação de que estavam constantemente nos fazendo um favor, quando pedíamos gelo, ou outras informações.
