The bed felt dirty or like dusty. The bed wasn't comfortable. I know that i will not stay or recommend that hotel on south padre island to friends.

Overall the staff was nice. The room was okay but could use some dehumidifiers. Also there was what looked like black mold on the shower ceiling which tripled over our stay.

Clean and large rooms, nice pool/hot tub, and friendly staff. This place is across the street from a convenience store stocked with food basics and cold beer. It's a quick 2min drive to the beach or a 5min walk (crossing over a moderately busy street).

Decent room for a very cheap price. My only complaint was that the bed was not comfortable.

great rates, friendly staff-can't complain.

Room was fine. No problems. Will definitely go back again.

It was a good clean option for the money and the staff were very nice.

Over all stay is not bad, hotel little to old, there were loud music and some people bbq'd outside. First room given was incorrect . Asked non smoking and king size. Was given smoking and double bed. Got moved where it wasn't noisy. But scary too someone came knocking around 3 am and could not go back to sleep. Brkfst was ok.

Overall nice room. I only have 3 complaints about our stay. 1. The door was stuck and wouldn't open. Thank goodness the front desk clerk was walking by so he was able to help. 2. The water in the shower backed up and accumilated in the tub while showering and 3. There was an acces door to the adjacent room and the occupants were having loud sex at 3:00 […] a.m. I'm glad I didn't have my children with me. Otherwise, the room was clean and room was conveniently located near the stairway. I would return as long as there was an option to choose to have a door to the adjacent room or not. my boyfriend and i were staying a week and wanted a kitchenette. from my research, no other hotel had one and condo rentals were out. so, we stayed in a king efficiency. it was what i expected. rooms were smaller than the picture, but we didn't need much space. bed was comfy, kitchenette and bathroom were sufficient. the bathroom could have been cleaner […] and smelled slightly of urine. but a cup of bleach could knock that out. the light over the mirror in the bathroom sometimes took hours to come on completely, but was not worth the hassle of complaining about it. the a/c worked very well. location was good...but, all hotels are close to beach on spi. never able to get up in time for breakfast, but i don't think we missed much. we were able to make yummy omelettes in our room. make sure you go back over the causeway to make groceries, because they are expensive at that super market on the island. also, try to buy anything you might need before you get there, because, again, the island is expensive. d'pizza joint delivered great pizza to us twice. one of the only veggies we saw in 3 different restaurant visits. front desk was nice. the first night, he guy seems fairly bored with his job. But, he did it very efficiently. We had bikes and no one complained when we locked them to the benches in front of the office. Didn’t use the cleaning staff, except to get more towels and cups. Saw a swat truck drive through the hotel once, but no ruckus. Swimming pool is tiny, but they have a shower to knock the sand off before you go back to your room. i like the stay the staff was friendly the only think i didnt like was the owner telling the people they couldnt take brakefeast to thier room when it was full of people we couldnt sit down not enough tables or chairs and pool to small

Best Super 8 I've been in. Well maintained. Room was a mini-suite with kitchenette. Very clean. In room safe. Staff very visible doing general upkeep on property. Good location. Excellent restauant right in front. Short walk to the beach. If in South Padre again I'd almost definitely stay here.

My Family and I were very disappointed in this Motel. Our room was dirty and delapidated. There were holes in the walls and the shower curtain rod was broken. The breakfast was a joke as the front desk clerk was responible for restocking the breakfast items and checking out guests. I would only reccomend this motel if you were just needing a cheap place […] to stay. 더 보기

Fairly clean. Friendly staff. I'd stay here again.

When desk clerk was not busy with personal calls he was helpful, breakfast forget this place , cereal, donuts, or waffles if you do not mind waiting 12 to 15 minutes. The orange juice was watered down tastes like kool-aide, same with the coffee, watered down. Would not stay there again.

For the price I can't complain too much, it was right on the island very conveniently located, but the room smelled disgusting and moldy, the bathroom was big but falling apart (literally the shower and sink were in disarray) and the beds were very hard. Yeah it's a nice price, but if you can afford to pay a little bit more it would be well worth it […] for a better hotel. 더 보기

hotel was ok. it was cheaper than the rest so that made it worth it. not as bad as some of the reviews state so that's a good thing!

Upon checkin, the people at the desk were not so polite. They asked for a credit card and I asked why everything was already paid for? They reply was, this is just in case you tear up or damage the room? My wife is 61 and I am 59 years of age and I told them, do we look like someone that is going to tear up a room! I gave them a credit card and they […] made a Zerox copy of my credit card which I did not like. When we checked out, I asked for that Zerox copy and they would not give it back to me or destroy it? They said it was for their files and said to her, I hope nobody gets a hold of that number. On their outside sign under the Super 8 sign, it reads free breakfast. My wife and I went to eat breakfast and it was nothing but cold bread, cereal and a waffle maker? They did not even have fruit? My wife asked for decafe coffee and that was cold. We had to ask them to make fresh decafe coffee! We will never stay there again nor recommed anyone to!! 더 보기

Purposes of having a place to leave things during the day and crash when worn out during the night. Perfect, functional, huge rooms, plenty of ice, breakfast included. Nothing else in the island gives you this much for little money.

Overall very clean, staff needs to smile more. One night our downstairs neighbors had very loud music until late but management was great in taking care of it immediately.

I tried staying somewhere else to save a little cash, but there is no substitute for this hotel for the price. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is very helpful. I will definitely be staying here again...

Hotel was great with only one drawback - low shower water pressure.

Everything was ok except no elevators and inadaquate parking .

pros: inexpensive! the reception spoke english, decent breakfast included (cold cereal, toast, " juice", waffles) , air conditioner worked well, one ($) washer/dryer outside near the ice machine, small microwave/refrigerator in room, 2 blocks from free beach access point, clean towels, no bedbugs ( i checked) BUT- it was a musty room even extra air […] freshener couldn't mask it. Putting the air con. on full blast seemed to help some. we only spent a few hours there sleeping. Ear plugs recommended even for heavy sleeper. pool seemed small, (kids had fun-but it felt crowded with only 5 others) For the price we paid, and it was only one night, it was a good deal- EXCEPT the smell. I Don't think I would last more than one night at a time, But I would stay again if the deal was as good. 더 보기

I had no complaints about the hotel. The breakfast was good, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Our stay on S. Padre Island was good. Even though this hotel is dated, it is clean, friendly and very reasonable. They have a nightly "happy hour" and a continental breakfast. This is our 2nd stay here and we'd come back.

The room was very nice. It was an efficiency with a 2 burner cooktop, microwave, coffeepot, and small fridge. It had a tile floor because the visitors mostly go to the beach but I'm pretty sure it wasn't swept or vacuumed the 2 days we were there. Other than that, it was great. It was at the center of town so it was close to everything.

Fantastic hotel. We had the efficiency room with two queens and the kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a fridge microwave AND a 2 burner stove top!! Bring your own cooking utensils, but what a cost savings over having to eat out all the time!!! Breakfast was on par with other hotels in the area, cereal, belgium waffles, etc. The room was very clean […] and promptly cleaned every morning. Definitely recommend this hotel. 더 보기

centrally located, nice view of the bay. clean rooms. nice looking . staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was surprisingly well equiped. Mini-kitchen with stove, microwave and refridgerator. Tile floors, and nicely decorated. Not a 4 star hotel, but definately worth the price we paid. The pool was very cold, but clean. Guest services was very friendly. Would stay here again.

This hotel needs a lot of updating but the price is great. The AC worked great. Shower had somewhat low water pressure buy evertyhing else was great. The beds were very old so if you're looking for a great night's sleep go elsewhere. Overall we were very happy with the price and facility.

i couldn't go to sleep. bed too hard
