The hotel was exactly what we needed for one day/night stay in Alamogordo. We arrived early and asked if we could get the room early; the staff was extremely helpful and got us in without a problem; they could only give us a 2nd floor room for early check-in, which wasn't an issue for us. The room was clean, everything was great, but there was a stale […] smoke smell that was very evident. At some point, someone has smoked in that roo and there's no way of hiding it. Also, it doesn't help the fact that the room service people smoke. We walked behind a couple of them on separate occasions and we could definitely tell they had just gone for a smoke. This smell gets into the non-smoking rooms and stays for good. My wife and I are both really sensitive (extremely, I might say) to cigarrette smoke and, even though the smell was slightly uncomfortable, we had no problem staying in the hotel/room. The hotel location is great, right at the North entrance to the town, next to the Police/Sheriff's Department (ie, safe location) and on the main road through town. In the morning, we enjoyed the complementary breakfast which, although not excellent, it was on the better side of complementary breakfasts that we have enjoyed in other hotels and one of the best we've had in hotels of this price-range. All-in-all, we are extremely pleased with our choice and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in a hotel in Alamogordo. 더 보기

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very clean.

We came to Alamogordo from Colorado to visit the Trinity test site. The drive was longer than we anticipated and we didn't arrive until around 3am. The gentleman who checked us in had everything ready for us so we were able to stumble straight to our room. The room was spotless. Everything worked great. Booked this hotel just to crash for a few hours before the Bataan Death march. It's a plain hotel but the front desk staff was super nice and offered to make us coffee before the race. Room was clean and the hotel was quiet.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and the price was right. No problems at all.

Best super 8 I have stayed in. Welcomed at front desk by owner. He gave directions to all sites and restaurants without a lot of banter. Rooms were immaculate. Hot shower and breakfast was typical of hotel buffet. Please support this hotel. You can tell a family maintains and cares for this property.

Super clean and very well maintained older building. Service is outstanding and very friendly. A good value but don't expect fancy furniture.

Pleasantly surprised. remodeled rooms, nice breakfast with fruits, cereal, waffles, bagels. Nice friendly staff. For the price was a nice change to have a few amenities.

We stayed three nights - it was convenient to sights and restaurants--staff was freindly and rooms were clean -- breakfast was good for continental---we recommended it to a sister that comes here frequently to visit a daughter and usaully stays elsewhere

This place had a very convenient location-it was right across the street from a mall with a decent restaurant on one side and a police station on the other. As I checked into the hotel the front desk person kept telling me how I would have gotten a better rate through them if I would've called. I found this to be a bit rude. The room was clean but out of date. Furniture in the room was old and stained. The bed was comfortable and had 4 pillows. The positive reviews of this hotel held out well, and we were happy we chose Hotel 8 for our stay in Alamogordo, NM. The owner and his family run this place and they friendly and welcoming, without taking nonsense, which is a great combination. The room is small but functional, and clean. I was expecting it as low end hotel. When I went their, I realized that it it more than I expected. Hotel is good, Room and fixtures looks brand new. My Kids enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was good. I would definitely recommend for the people to stay in this Super8, Alamogardo, NM. My daughter says we should stay only in Super8

We were in town for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable our room was. Very clean and updated bathroom, with a friendly hotel staff. We highly recommend - especially for the price!

The motel was very clean and seemed to be well-maintained. The continental breakfast was average fare. The rooms are small; it's the kind of place you basically use just for sleeping.

The Super 8 in Alamogordo, New Mexico is conveniently on the main road that passes through Alamogordo. We arrived early in the day but were checked in cheerfully. After a long day visiting with family and friends, we returned back to our room and relaxed in a clean and comfortable room. Very clean throughout the hotel and nicely decorated. The staff treated us warmly and couldn't have been nicer. The next morning the entire city of Alamogordo had a 10 […] minute blackout. The manager handled all calls, and I am sure there were many, with a cheerful explination. The thing I was most impressed with was how the manager handled the kids that she caught running through the halls. Though there were customers calling the front desk complaining about this, she spoke to the boys about courtesy and how that people were trying to sleep. The boys tried to argue back with her but she just repeated that they should not be running down the halls and they should be respectful of others. I was very impressed. The only thing I would improve on the hotel is that the breakfast area was very cramped. The hotel was booked full and there was no room to get around in the breackfast area. The receptionist who checked us in, Cathy, was very friendly and hardworking (she seemed to have to do everything!), but the air conditioner in the room we were given made the room smell like pee (urine)! I selected this hotel based on online reviews and I was not disappointed. This is not a luxury hotel, but it was the nicest Super 8 I've ever stayed at. It has been updated nicely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel with all interior rooms so I was never concerned for my safety. In fact, it is located next door to the Sheriff's […] Office. It was easy to access the local attractions from this location and the front desk offered helpful suggestions for local dining and site-seeing. This is the best hotel we have stayed at in the past 3 weeks here in the usa. Clean comfortable beds, great staff especially victor, the guy in charge,..who could not do enough for us...great breakfast and free wifi...i will definitely be staying at super 8 again

I have stayed there before, it's a lot better now. The reburb was thorough, not just 'a lick and a promise'. While it is still a Super 8 with the standard Super 8 amenities, its better than many other Super 8 properties I've stayed at. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value. Motel is newly renovated, beds are pretty comfortable. Noise outside of room can be heard within motel, although never created problems. Staff is very accommodating. One complaint - too much furniture in our room with a king bed. Would be more comfortable and spacious with less.

This hotel (while a 2-star) was much better than expected. Just completed a weekend in NM and stayed here, which is a few miles outside of the 'hotel zone' where most of the other places were in Alamogordo. Rooms were clean, AC was absolutely freezing cold (nice in 100+ degree weather) and the free continental breakfast to boot was nice. We recently stayed at this hotel in Alamogordo. We were visiting our son and his wife. Our son is stationed at Holloman AFB so we basically just needed a place to sleep at night. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. The room was just perfect for our needs and the staff was friendly and helpful. The stay there was quiet without lots of loud […] visitors stomping up and down the hallways. The hotel was close to almost everything you could want in Alamogordo and the price was very reasonable. i stayed at the Super 8 as part of a school trip and was pleased with the hotel. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly with suggestions about what to do and where to go.
