On entering the room, a baby cockroach was there to greet us. Our sound system was a boom box. The lamp was rusted. The tv in the bedroom was 12 -14''. We complained and we got an up grade to an A unit! The room was just as out-dated as the last. There was a jet tub. As I turned on the water - it ran brown for awhile! Front desk staff was rude. Unexpected deposit at check in. Pushy time share sales staff. No daily housekeeping.

Great place to stay, love the surrounding areas. In general great location. Very dissapointed with the lack of customer service during the check-in process. It took them over an hour to find my reservation, and the answer I received from the manager in charge was "you should have book directly with us". It appears to be. The time shares were amazingly clean and suprisingl spacious. However the mattress was not very comfortable and it is not conveniently located.

The checking in process was gruelin with an emphasis on viewing new units. Definitely, there was a bit of a fast sell going on. the rooms were clean but shabby looking with no carpeting in the kitchen living room area. The directions to the actual building where our room was located were lacking; overall, a bad beginning....

Pros: Very Spacious Rooms Cons: VERY Dated...so dated that we didn't want to sit on the old couch -location was offsite from the main hotel area. It wasn't even walking distance. No lobby, no concierge, no nothing. It looked like an apartment complex. -Sales staff was extremely pushy with trying to sell their timeshare. They won't give you a parking […] pass until you hear them out. Wasted 40 minutes of our time. - We were told we had a view of the golf course. Bonaventure is a very comfortable place to stay and you do not feel uneasy, ever. Local is kept nice and clean, pools are warm. Not near the beach but near Sawgrass Mills Mall for good shopping. Would stay again

This is not a hotel but time share. No sales pressure and very nice staff during our week stay for a conference nearby. Appliances were inexpensive and coffee maker temperamental when making coffee. Overall not bad and would stay again.

Good accommodations for room rate - not fancy but comfortable. Only item I did not like was check-in. I had made my reservations through hotel.com - maybe this is different if you book directly with Vacation Village. I went to the address listed on the confirmation and it turns out I had to go to the "registration" building and from there to my own […] particular location - was a lot of running around at a time when I was worn out from traveling. When I registered, they sent me to a staff person to "pick up my parking pass." This was not the case - this was someone trying to sell me a time share. What was annoying was the probing questions I was asked - did I have a husband, where was the last place I traveled to, what did I like to do for fun. Initially, I thought I was only getting the parking pass so the questions confused me - kept thinking why do they want to know this - just give me my parking pass. Our suite was very nice and clean. We stayed in sandpiper 2. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was GREAT upon registration. But if I called, they were less than helpful or cheery. The room was great. Clean. Accommodating. The bedspreads were outdated. But that's not an issue. But the PILLOWS were awful!! All in all ok.

When I arrived in in the room I was surprised to see the room was much larger than I anticipated. The kitchen area was good size and their was an outdoor patio. Although I only stayed one night I was pleased with the hotel.

I booked this hotel because it was recommended to me. The first thing I noticed when I entered the building is how clean and fresh it smelled. The rooms are huge, in the two bedroom suite, we accommodated the whole family and we had a great time. Have no complains, I will use it again.

The location was great right off the expressway with easy access to either Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The room was comfortable and the staff was first rate. The front desk provided us with a lot of information about the area and discounts for many restaurants and attractions. The only issue we had was a lumpy pillow which was replaced the next day.

Everything was great but the time share people was to aggressive. They wouldn't take no for an answer. They got mad when I couldn't afford the deal they had.

The suite was exactly how it was described which never happens. The balcony was furnished and the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed to make an amazing Thanksgiving breakfast. Clean, comfy, affordable and pleasant staff. Negatives- long wait for check-in, maid service not daily.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was a it difficult to locate but once I did the grounds are beautifully kept and the room was nice, fresh, and clean. I loved the colors in the room as well. The gentleman that checked me in, Tony, was magnificent. Overall rating of this hotel is 5 of 5. Great price, great value, great staff, great room.

In the midst of shopping, vacation village is a home away from home. You must try it. I guarantee you will want to go back over and over.

It's a long drive out from the airport and tricky to find because have to get off highway at an exit past where it is and circle back. At nite without GPS is challenging, but if you ask for help everyone seems to know where the place is once you get close. Was alittle apprehensive after reading about all the hype about being assaulted by TimeShares agents. They didn't bother us once!!! Remember when checking in & out & they ask if you have time for breakfast (NO) or if you have to leave right away upon checkout, (YES) answer correctly, no one bothers you have, the words Timeshare was not heard once during […] out visit! CHECK IN WAS A LITTLE SLOW AND LENTY BUT OVERALL IT WAS SMOOTH.

It was okay. I stayed at the Flamingo and others in my group stay at the Heron. I thought the Heron was much nicer and for the same price.

Full kitchen with clean utensils and 2 TVs - one in bedroom and another in the lounge/kitchen. However, bureaucratic to get the parking permit which is not issued by the reception but the guest service - so you must queue twice - somewhat odd. Recommendable nevertheless.
