The hotel is okay. I just did not realize what neighborhood I would be located within during this stay. I thought the college would be a rather safe neighborhood, but I was wrong. I would definitely recommend staying downtown if you are going to do the Louisville Kentucky Derby marathon or minimarathon. We paid extra for a non-smoking room and our room smelled so badly of smoke. When we returned home and opened our suitcase, all of our clothes smelled like smoke as well. Awful.

The room was filthy and in terrible repair. The paint was peeling off the walls, water stains on the ceilings, broken fixtures. The room was crawling with ants and all they did was apologize and come with ant spray that did nothing to rid the ant problem. The walls are paper thin and we heard every word of the families next to us. I am still itching!!! […] If I hadnt recently broken my leg, we would have left the night we checked in!!! 더 보기

Hotel is pretty clean , room was nice for the price and the jacuzzi tub. Will be back to this hotel anytime i come back to louisville.

The room could have been cleaner and the hot tub needed to be maintained.

The room in this hotel looked more like what I would expect in a low budget motel. Some of the lights would not function, wall paper was peeling off of the walls, the towels were dirty and the tub did not appear to be clean either.

I would first take this moment to apologize for not responding sooner. I certainly was impressed by everything and everyne involved w/making my trip an overall pleasureful one. I thank hotel.com, Quality Inn, and the staff of, for the professionalism, empathy, and for being so accommodating.

I came to Louisville to visit Univ of L. This Quality Inn is quite close to campus - only a mile or so away - but I always drove the distance because the surrounding neighborhood is a little seedy. Not much to look at from the outside and the neighorhood is not Mayberry, but once inside, the hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable.

For proximity it worked well but wasn't as clean as I would have expected.

Had a fantastic stay, very close to the Exposition centre.. The room was nice & spacious & very clean. The staff were REALLY helpful, nothing was too much trouble.Normally stay in 5 star hotels, but ccouldn't fault the Qualioty Inn.

Great price, hotel was very clean, room was really nice, but I was very disappointed!! The bathroom had an enormous jacuzzi tub that I couldn't wait to get in to. At the end of the day, I came back to the hotel and ran a nice hot bath, only to find that the jets didn't work. The rooms were very reasonably priced for the quality. Loved that there was a kitchenette and also the size of the bathrooms.

Nice room with a four poster (!) bed and a Jacuzzi tub. Pretty basic breakfast, but it is complimentary. My only quibble is the cliche' thin motel towels; even so, good value for the money. Those sensitive to the freeway noise should ask for a room facing away.

Let me just say that the hotel staff are VERY nice people. The hotel wasn't in the best location (right off 1-65) and our room's window looked out to a concrete wall. The area looked a little scary, but luckily turned out to be okay, since the hotel's side door no longer required a room key to let you into the hotel (lock was duct-taped open). That […] duct-taped lock can be sort of representative of our stay--it turned out okay, but the place needs repair and maintanence. Our room's furniture looked about 20 years old. Things overall smelled a bit funky. Huge tub was nice for kids and so was pool (decent) and limited breakfast. But considering the price, I expected a bit more. Comparable hotels have much better interior spaces. I have no idea what was up with their wake up calls--in one week, I only got one when I requested it (that's 1/7). Not a good thing if you have to be somewhere on time. If you are thinking of walking downtown to the convention center, it's a good 40-45 minute walk or 20-30 minute run. Though the area looks dodgy, I found the walk actually sort of enjoyable. That was a nice surprise. Free internet in rooms worked great. And I can't stress enough that people are nice (both employees and guests). Once we left our camera outside our door (it fell out of our bag) and someone knocked on the door to return it. Someone found one of my son's toys in the pool and returned it. People were so nice I feel bad saying anything bad about the hotel, but, in truth, it's one of those places that needs help. I did a lot of travels, but this hotel is the worst. Dirty room, bad smell, poor breakfast. The price is not cheap at all.

Hotel was good. Room was nice and big. Only complaint is about house cleaning. Guy knocked on the door at 10 AM asking if we wanted room cleaned. Check out wasn't until 11 AM then he continued to vacumn right outside our room until we left at ten mins til. Other than that it was a good stay

People were very nice, but the room was outdated and the beds were hard as rocks. The bathroom fan was broken and hanging from the ceiling, with mold on the walls. Also, we found a roach-type bug crawling on the wall. I would not stay here again.

Booked this hotel last minute for a trip to the Kentucky Derby. The room and hotel overall are just average but the staff went above and beyond. They even came and picked us up after the Derby. For price and convenience this is where I would stay again if going to the Derby.

The garbage left outside of the hotel when we pulled up told me right then and there this was not a well maintained property. Albeit it was Kentucky Derby weekend, but the alcohol bottles stacked outside was ugly. Our room had a broken bedpost and just didn't have that just cleaned feeling. Yes, the decor is a bit dated. But it's clean - and you get a lot of room for your money. The staff was friendly and the room was quiet.

The pool was nice and breakfast was delicious! It was nice to have the option of a hot or cold contiental breakfast! The kids enjoyed the waffle maker! The breakfast room had a leak in the ceiling dripping in a bucket, thats the only thing that was wrong and thats nothing...

Hotel clerk was very helpful with info.about the surrounding area..

This place was awesome. Our plans changed due to a weather issue. They let us check in early. They gave us lots of info like mall and restaurant locations and maps and were so friendly. This place was directly off the highway-very convenient. Could hear the airplanes a little bit in the night.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location is about one mile to University of Louisville, and one and a half miles to Churchill Downs. Plenty of food choices nearby, too. Suzie, the desk clerk is the best. She was pleasant, and very happy to help with all my needs like directions and things to do and see in the area.

The hotel was nice and very clean. The olny problems I had were with the room its self. The heat/ A/C unit was messing up it wouldn't maintain a constant temp. The jetted tub was nice but the jet intensity adjustment knob was broke on one side, so it was on full blast, making it a little uncomfortable. I had to stay only one night for an appointment I had at the courthouse. It was close to the location and easy to get to it via I-65. I did not like the neighborhood since it looked kind of industrial type of a place. The other thing I did not like was that there was a heavy smell of tobacco even though I stayed in the non-smoking area. Bathroom was […] ample and comfortable but beds a little bit too small. Alarm clock needs replacement. The room was clean and had all ammenities you would need to find. I did notice that a phone book was not at hand and I really needed one. Wake up call was on time as expected. The price was right for what I needed, just one quick night. Would not stay in this hotel for a long period because of its unpleasant location, as soon as I open the curtains I saw the roof of another building. The supposedly queen beds seemed more like full size. Otherwise the room more than met our expectations.

THE HOTEL WAS AMAZING. GREAT SERVICE. NICE GYM. GREAT POOL AREA. THE ROOM WAS HUGE AND CLEAN.
