I had not been home in two years and I selected the Quality Inn Westport because a pool was listed as an amenity; to my traveling dismay; I arrived to a---"pool out of service". This dampened my son's spirits-----our vacation, he loves to swim---and it is not available. Then, we were informed the pool should be up and running by Monday and I think […] somewhere between Monday and Tuesday the pool became functional again. But, as soon as it was back up and running-----it was out of commission again. So, a six day stay and no pool use at all. Also, there was a hole in the bathroom door. The door was wood and the hole was at the bottom of the door------so when my children were in the room, I had to ensure that they remained clear of the shards and wood that could come from the hole. The bathroom also seemed "shabby". I like bright, inviting bathrooms; especially in a commercial housing establishment. This bathroom just was not that. Finally, there seemed to be a "dampness" to the carpet when I walked on the floor barefoot. However, I I did have the same experience at another hotel. Overall, I was really not satisfied with the accommodations based on what I was looking to experience at the Quality Inn. and as a PS--I was ill informed of the 2 stay promotion and that counterproductively affected my travel plans. 더 보기

The staff was the best part of the hotel our room had a big crack under the door where the floor was broke..other than that had a good time..kids loved it with the pool outside the door.

Dad and the boys stayed there last year while visiting STL for a few days during Spring Break, and it was good enough to warrant a return visit. Took mom with us this year and it had really fallen off in many ways. Upkeep and cleaning were very weak, and had us second guessing choice and checking neighboring hotels for rooms, but decided to tough it […] out as we had already unpacked the family. The bedding was stained and the room was dirty - there was trash under the bed skirts and behind the night stand. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom. The carpet was old and coming up in many places, and the subfloor gave way in many spots in the room and in the halls. The light in the bathroom overheated and shut off after 15 minutes of use, and then stayed off til it cooled down. Reported that problem on Sunday and was told maintenance man would be there Tuesday. Tuesday evening had to report problem again, and visit from maintenance still did not fix. Also took 2 requests for a plunger to unclog toilet that day. Pool that had been very warm last year was very cold, even for the kids, who came out on last day shivering. Continental b-fast was much weaker than last year. Juice machine did not cool, and one of the waffle makers was bent and almost impossible to use. We saw bagels and muffins on Sunday, but nothing but white bread the rest of the weekdays. We did love the bar/restaraunt attached, but that was about it. If you are looking for a less expensive place to stay as you pass through for a night, this might be your spot, but if you are spending more than one day there you will really see the shortcomings, and feel that the staff really doesn't care. 더 보기

Well, it is hard to speak of any good from our hotel stay, but I can't. Maybe except the fact that we were reimbursed for one night of stay. Let's start with the hotel itself... looked run down from the outside- the attached restaurant had all of its windows boarded up, but it was still open for business. The door to our room, even though closed and locked, you could push and pull the door as if it were going to just pop open. There was a hole in the wall behind the door, an electrical socket hanging out of the wall, dirty carpets, and a peeling bathroom. The worst part- disgustig blood stains (fresh, not washed) all over the comforter. I was disgusted and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was an o.k. hotel. Workout room was very hot.....difficult to work out in with a very small selection of machines. Hotel is showing age. Room door difficult to open, bathroom fan noisy and pretty much useless, had to blow-dry the mirror. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and kind.

The room was great despite the bed being a little rough. Being close to the pool was a downfall with not being able to sleep in. There is a night club next door that will keep you up if you don't like the drumbing comming through. Overall not a bad place so long as you are going for just a bed to sleep in. Carpets need cleaning and elevator needs a major update. The pool was clean and indoors, but the heater did not work well and felt like it was outside. No hot tub which was a huge disappointment. Hotel was clean and in a great location, breakfast was hot and the kids loved it..only complaint need to get there early they didn't refill after 930 but serve till 10... So when we got there, I asked if the pool was open, she said no, not till tomorrow.. Well the next day, the "heating" element was out of the pool, and the water was frezzing cold. they didn't bother to tell me that the element has been out for a "few" weeks.. I would have booked a different hotel in a heart beat.... ugg.

I just wanted to relaxe In the pool, when I showed up late I just wanted a hot bath. The hotel description mentioned that it was an older hotel, and it was. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was not very good either. After we checked in, and walked through the un-air conditioned arcade/pool area to get to our room, we were about to turn around and leave. However, it was late and our room was nice and cool. Our stay was ok. Only major disappoint was the fault of hotels.com. The listing stated there was a hottub and that is not true. I spoke with management because that was a requirement we were looking for when booking the hotel and they stated that have told hotels.com repeatedly to take that off due to numerous complaints. The location of this hotel is great, but the rest is not so great. I would not recommend this hotel during the summer time. The reason is because they have an indoor pool that makes the recreation area very hot/muggy. First of all we had to wait quite awhile for our room even though we had a reservation..there was no air conditioning in the game area, pool, hallways etc..once we got into our room the entire floor infront of the air conditioner and bathroom was soaked due to I'm assuming the a/c. The breakfast area is in a bad location, especially on hot sunny days. No AC in that area. The receptionist was very freindly and helpful. Needed directions to the address we were going and she looked it up on the computer, printed them off for us.

The hotel is older. Great pool room with a lot of video games. Breakfast was wonderful - waffles, bacon, bread selections, cereal, yogurt, jucies. Staff was nice. One of our mattresses was broken - springs were out. We had to start our shower 15 minutes prior to showering for the water to be hot, but plenty of hot water after. We had 2 rooms, and not as we asked for. We were suppose to have 2 rooms next to each other with 2 beds. Non smoking. We had 1 with king size bed on a different floor for 2 adults and 2 children. This is a great place for kids to stay on vacation. The pool and game area was nice....very hot. The room was dingy and the carpet inside was wet. There was a pretty good breakfast. We got to the hotel to check in and they did not have any rooms that we had reserved clean. They were remodeling the game room and swimming pool area when they should have been concerned with the conditions of the rooms! The first room they put us in the door did not latch and deadbolt. There was daylight around the door and the tv could not be heard unless you stood right next to it. I REQUESTED A KING NON-SMOKING HANDICAP ACCESSABLE ROOM & BATHROOM. WHEN WE CHECKED IN, WE HAD TROUBLE WITH OUR KEY CARD WORKING IN THE DOOR. NEXT I EXPECTED A HANDICAP HEIGHT TOILET AND A WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSABLE SHOWER AND SINK. WE HAD A STANDARD HEIGHT TOILET AND NO RISER WHICH MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO GET UP OFF THE TOILET WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. WHILE […] MY HUSBAND WENT TO BRING IN OUR LUGGAGE, I WAS STUCK IN THE TOILET AS I COULDN'T GET UP AND HE'S KNOCKING ON THE DOOR FOR ME TO LET HIM IN. HE HAD TO GO GET ASSISTANCE AGAIN TO OPEN THE DOOR. WE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE TV ALSO AND HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE COME DOWN TO SHOW US HOW TO OPERATE THE SYSTEM. IN THE AM WHEN WE WENT TO SHOWER, WE HAD NO HOT WATER...AGAIN WE CALLED FOR HELP. THE DESK CLERK GOT US A KEY TO THE NEXT ROOM TO SHOWER WITH A TUB THAT IS "EXTREMELY DIFFICULT" FOR ME TO GET INTO WITHOUT GREAT ASSISTANCE. WHEN WE WENT TO HAVE THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST BEFORE WE WE CHECKED OUT THERE WAS NO BREAD FOR TOAST AND OJ AND THE ASSISTANT SAID THAT HE COULDN'T GET ANY MORE AS IT WAS GETTING CLOSE TO CLOSING THE BUFFET DOWN. WHILE MY HUSBAND TOOK THE BALANCE OF THE LUGGAGE TO THE CAR AND PULLED THE CAR UP TO THE DOOR FOR ME, I WENT UP TO THE DESK TO ASK THE CLERK ABOUT THE TOILET RISER SITUATION, THE DESK CLERK HAD LEFT SO I SAT DOWN TO WAIT. MY HUSBAND CAME BACK TO HELP ME TO THE CAR, I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED TO ASK ABOUT THE LACK OF HANDICAP TOILET OR RISER, SO HE WENT BACK IN TO ASK ABOUT IT, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD 1 AVAILABLE, BUT WE "HAD" TO ASK FOR IT...THIS IS UNACEPTABLE TO ME AS I HAD ALREADY "ASKED FOR FULL HANDICAP ACCESSABILITY" WHEN I MADE OUR RESERVATION. Older facility, close to Zoo and Six Flags, reasonable accomidations for the money.... lower price....

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We had 2 rooms booked with 4 adults and 4 kids. We were only allowed 2 towels per room and there were never any pool towels...kinda hard to dry off with a wet towel. One of the rooms had condoms under the bed and a pair of shoes...Just what I needed my 9, and 5 year old touching used condoms!!! Also we reported […] some girls running naked in the halls and nothing was done about it. Breakfast was ok....orange juice and apple juice were hot and staff could not keep the items stocked...one of the mornings there were only waffles to eat so the line was down the hallway...we opted out on breakfast and went to a restaurant. We booked this hotel because the other reviews were good. Also the picture of the pool looked great. I'm not sure how old the other reviews or pictures were, but our family was very disappointed. The hotel was very old and poorly maintained. It smelled musty and the ceiling on the third floor leaked. The staff was unfriendly. Disappointing from the beginning. There was a huge hole in the wall behind the headboard. The headboard fell off of the wall. Urine stained and streaked toilet. Indoor pool was as cold as it would have been outside. Ceiling above the pool was seriously erroded felt unsafe being in the pool area.

Although the neighborhood was great, this hotel was up on a hill and difficult to find. The lobby and hallways had food crumbs and bags of trash everywhere. The staff was attentive to all our needs. We stayed a week and enjoyed the pool and game area. The overall facilities were just OK. this is an older building with nuances to go with it. The room was kept clean, but there are wiring/fan/TV issues at times. Good for a one or two night stay.

This hotel could have been a bit cleaner, but the service of the front desk clerks was outstanding. They made me and my sons visit very comfortable. When my son came down with the flu, they helped us find a urgent care clinic, pharmacy and even checked in on us. I recommend the Quality Inn Westport. DO NOT STAY HERE!! This place is a DUMP!!!! The room was dirty, cobwebs on the walls, dirty/dusty floors, food from someone else before us still in the refrigerator. The shower didn't work right. When I finally got it to turn on, it wouldn't drain, so I stood in nasty water trying to take a shower!! GROSS!! The hotel was VERY run down and in desperate need of repair. The ceiling in the around the pool area was falling down onto the balcony. The wall paper in the room was peeling and stained. Both facets would not shut off completely. All in all it was a mess.

Ok for a 1 night stay

I booked a room for two days and on the second day after returning from a long day at work I parked my car closer to my room only to find out that my room key did not work on the outside door. Great location for music, pool and rest.

We were a little concerned with the 2 stars given, but quality inns are USUALLY a good bet + we travel all over the world & spend about 50 nights a year away from home & are used to all kinds of hotels. But this place was awful! the non-smoking room smelled like a cigar room or bar after closing time! But we checked in around 1:30am & we exhausted. […] Our room had NO hot water for showers in the morning! but the straw that broke the camels back was the lack of food at breakfast! When we finally complained we were told by the gal at the front desk that she can't go into every room to see if they smell & that she can't control what other people do in the room before us, she would check on the hot water...but the worst was the excuse for breakfast...her manager only order so much food & when it's gone it's gone until the truck comes to deliver more... this was at 7am on a tuesday! I could see them running out of food if it were later in the morning or around 'last call' or on a busy weekend, but this was first thing on a non-busy tuesday morning! DO NOT STAY HERE...spend the extra 10 bucks & stay at the comfort inn a mile away! 더 보기

If you are seeking a quiet weekend I would not suggest this hotel. This place was lively and exciting. We stayed in the pool-side king suite and the location of the room was perfect. We were there for a weekend out on the town so the noise did not bother us at all. The room was cleaned while we were out and that was nice. Hotel room was dirty upon arrival. Hair on the bathroom room floor. Hair and bugs in the bathtub. The hotel itself is older and definitely needs some remodeling work done on it. Water stains on the ceiling. Dirty walls. We stayed 1 week and the only cleaning service we received was clean towels and occasionally, they made our bed. They never cleaned, […] vacuumed or mopped the floors. They have a big indoor atrium with an indoor pool. The atrium was nice to sit in at breakfast but soon was too hot to stay in there. I have stayed at this hotel for years when visiting relatives and friends in the area - but, NO MORE. The place is not being taken care of and I am not even sure if they own a vacuum cleaner.
