We recently occupied 2 rooms for 4 nights at this hotel. We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel, especially the cleanliness, room size and hotel service. Made our stay in Venice very enjoyable

Great hotel, restaurant, staff and location. For food the best kitchen in town, for location you fall out of the hotel into the train station with no stops to Santa Lucia Station in Venice. All services to make your Venice visit easy without cost of a Venice hotel.

Great hotel: comfortable beds, nice bathroom, overall very clean. Breakfast fare (included in rate) is typically Italian and therefore not quite at par with North American standards although enough to get you going. We had a king bed in one room and two singles for the children in adjacent space. Location is across from train station therefore very […] easy to get to Venice (max 10 minute ride for 1.2 euros each way). Drawbacks: room smelled somewhat musty at first. Also, immediately adjacent surroundings did not seem very interesting or inviting. Nonetheless, good value for the money; we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Venice and who doesn't mind the short train ride in return for a good, clean hotel at a reasonable rate. 더 보기

The hotel was very clean and up to date. i use a wheelchair and the access was excellent. the train station is right across the street. i wouldn't count on the train as best way to get to Venice and back. not very wheelchair accessible and the station is kind of dirty.

The hotel is right across the street from the train station, so it made it very easy and quick to get to Venice. The hotel also sells tickets for the train and the vaporetto/bus transportation. We did not have to move it while we were there, so that was helpful. Modern sleek style with all the amenities one could hope for. Great location just opposite the Mestre railway station with direct trains to Venice. Breakfast offered ample choices incl. fresh fruit salad.

Clean and tidy hotel, convinience, good value for money

This hotel is so close to Metres train station. (just across to street) There is also a direct bus to airport. Everything is very convenience. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Everything is great. The hotel is centrally located right next to Mestre station (not venice). However, the hotel staff was not so friendly. We complained about the weak signal of wifi in the room and the staff said we are the only customers compaining, no room could be changed, it is OUR PROBLEMS. Arrived by train and just walked across the street to this great hotel. Our room overlooked the station and was of a good size and clean and surprisingly very quiet. Would I recommend this hotel, certainly as it beats lugging luggage round the narrow streets of Venice trying to find a hotel. Although 10mins train journey from the main island, located in Mestre. We stayed one night at the Best Western Bologna at the completion of a 12 day cruise and we were thoroughly satisfied. Modern rooms, good breakfast choice, close to train station for access to Venice. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Will stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Venice.

Excellent place for your stay between the end of a cruise (acceptable by Taxi from port, you do not want to lug your suitcases around the Venice Islands) and your return home. perfect location right outside of venice....took the train in minutes ....right across from train station....good food...friendly staff

Good clean hotel, but not in a very good location for eating. The 'Bistro' around the corner is a rip-off -- better to eat at one of the other local restaurants. Very convenient for the train station, which is a 10-min ride into Venice and cheap. The trick on the way back is to catch any regional train (R) since they all stop in Mestre. Every thing was super. The staff at the reception was very very helpful concedrate and gave us lots of usfull advices.

Just returned back to the States from my honeymoon and we loved staying at this hotel! Very convenient location and very clean.

Great value and good hotel. The room was big for European rooms and very clean. The bed was low so those with back problems might not like the bed - but it was comfortable. The breakfast was great and was included. The train station is across the street and so are the buses. We took the bus and it will take you to the water taxi area where you can board […] a taxi to go anywhere in Venice that you want. The bus is much cheaper than the train and you can get a pass that is good on the bus and the water taxis. About a 15 minute ride to the taxi area and then another 10 minutes depending on where you want to go. We got very good at using the water taxis and enjoyed not having to lug our luggage all over Venice. Felt very safe day or night in traveling to Venice. it was also much cheaper to stay outside Venice. We were there for a few days prior to boarding our ship for a cruise. If you are going on a cruise you can take the bus to the bus lot next to the water taxi area (same bus we took to go to Venice) and take the People Mover to the port area. It goes to the major port area but not to the smaller port area. It depends on the size of your ship. Make sure you check to see which port your ship is at. 더 보기

The hotel location was ideal both for easy access from Marco Polo airport via shuttle bus and into Venice via bus to Piazza Roma which was then very close to the vaporetta stop.. everyone was very helpful. Even found us a room when we arrived early in the day. Sooo close to train station to travel to Venice or to any place in the Veneto. We will return!

Opposite Mestre Railway station, a 1.20 Euro train ride from Venice this hotel has just been remodeled and is modern, squeaky clean and practical. Don't expect any romantic Italian getaway, but instead find unusually helpful staff, and a location which is boringly conducive to coming home late and leaving early for Venice.

We couldn't find suitable lodgings in Venice and a friend referred us to the Best Western in Mestre. This worked out great for us and using the train for transportation into Venice was easy, inexpensive and convenient. I like this hotel very much, just opposit the Mestre station, v convenient to get a bus to Venezia per 10 minutes. The hotel room & breakfast are good, staff are nice. Highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

The young gentleman was quite condescending when we were having troubles with our wireless internet connection. For a hotel the outside noise level into our room (221) was unacceptable. We had trouble sleeping due to the outside noises from the street. We could hear peoples converstions as they were walking along the corridor. The room is spacious but the shower box is tiny without a rack to place shower gel/soap. Wifi in the room is very weak. Unable to connect via mobile phone but via network cable to laptop only. Great location which is right opposite to the train station. Easy to travel to Venezia S.L. by train or by bus.

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Italy. It was very convenient to get back and forth from Venice, A 10 minute ride on the train. The front desk even has the train tickets for you. We had a very nice stay at Best Western Bologna. Everything was fine. Customer service first class. Highly recommended and just across the street to the rail station which move us to Venice fast and cheap.

Hotel Bologna is located just a few steps away from Train Station "Mestre", which is one station away from Venice. It takes only 8-10 minutes to go to Venice from Mestre station. It is good if you do not want to stay inside the very touristy Venice or you want to avoid towing your luggagues in the small alleyways in Venice. The room we booked was Double […] Look Room. There is only two classes - Look or Avant. The actual size of the room is smaller than the one shown in the picture. The decoration is also less modern. In a way, we are disappointed as it was our last stop before going back to our country and we want to look for a more comfy place! There is not much choice of food for the breakfast. Everything is good with this hotel except the bed. It is very weak and it squeaks every time one turns around. The location is very close to the train station. Breakfast is good and the room are clean.

we chose the hotel because of its location. it is just opposite the mestre train station, which handy for our trip to Rome. 10 mins to Venice. The room is very clean and its a very modern hotel. The staff at the reception are helpful and friendly. we recommend for this hotel.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for one night as we wanted a hotel close to Venice yet close to the airport at the same time. The hotel satisfied both needs, it was only a 10 minute bus or train journey to Venice and about a 20minute bus journey to Marco Polo airport. The Hotel Bologna is very close to the train and bus station making it a breeze to get to and from Venice and to and from the airport. It takes 15 minutes by bus to get to either place. We were delighted with this hotel. We needed a transition hotel for 3 nights that was convenient and comfortable. This hotel more than fit the bill.
