We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to […] be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service. 더 보기

Very impressive location and lounge areas. I expected this level of service considering the rating and price so I was not disappointed. Rooms were small but very do able. High ceilings and amazing bathrooms made it very cozy. We enjoyed the food, the fire place and tv lounge area; thus, maximized our experience. Walking distance to the Basilica church […] and sites made it easy to see a lot in a short period of time. Highly recommend the hotel considering the great people at the front desk and valet. This was the 2nd time I stayed here and the suites are fabulous. Location is great as it's only 1 block away from Notre Dame Basilica in Old Montreal. Only downside is absence of coffee maker in the room. But there's a lot of cafes nearby. There's also a Metro station nearby, easy access to other parts of downtown Montreal.

The staff at this hotel know what service is all about! From the moment we arrived they constantly assured our satisfaction. Would highly recommend and i will be staying there again!

I have stayed at most hotels in Montreal, and found this one to be the most welcoming and helpful. Not only was the check-in efficient, but all the staff from the valet to the room service wait staff were courteous. In other hotels I remember feeling unwelcome because I did not speak French, but at this hotel I was made to feel as though I was a valued […] guest and customer. 더 보기

We came up to Montreal for a weekend getaway. The only negative about this place is their restaurant The morning of our second day we went to the restaurant to have brunch. After being seated it took about 10 minutes for someone to come around and take our order as the staff was too busy cleaning up the continental breakfast station. I ordered the Raison […] French Toast. When it came out it was not Raison Bread. I pointed this out to the server and he took the plate back to have it corrected. My plate came out again this time with raison bread that was soggy and not cooked. At this point, I chose not to order anything as we had already been sitting for over 45 minutes. They did offer to bring a cheese plate which I did eat. Overall - The front desk was very accommodating to all our needs. The room was very cute. The location great. I would stay again, I would just not eat or get drinks in their restaurant. 더 보기

A nice combination of modern luxe and old world charm, exposed brick walls amidst luxurious linens and amenities like rain showers and jacuzzis. We had two different rooms and definitely recommend a king suite with a couch and sitting area and large bathroom. The hotel gave us drink coupons when we checked in although we never used them - nice touch […] since nothing else is included. Great location next to Notre Dame in the old town. overall, enjoyed the hotel, t has a great location and is very historic. A couple small-ish complaints; the toilet was not working great, which they sent someone to fix right away (though it happened twice) and the in room fireplace was not working properly, which was a bit of a drag seeing as it was valentines day and well you know what they say about […] a hotel room and a fireplace! The staff gave me a bit of a break on the room because of the issues. The BIG issue was that our car was broken in to parking overnight on a nearby street. The preservation of its facade makes it very attractive. Its location is right in the heart of Old Montreal where there is lots of excitement to be had and where one encounters some of the most pleasing tastes and great food. Funny, but, I did not quite like the smell of my pillow. Seemed like it has been used.

I book a queen room and got upgraded to a King Suite. Very nice. Only complaint would be the room was too warm when I got there and I could not get it to cool down.

We don't live far from Montreal so when we need a quick get away we head up there. This was by far our best experience. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The location was in the middle of everything and the hotel itself is beautiful. It's an updated older building, the walls are thick and we didn't hear anything from any of the surrounding rooms. […] We recommend this hotel very highly! 더 보기

Spent Christmas week-end here. Called a few days before arrival to ask the Concierge,Rene, to help find us good restaurants that would be opened during the holiday..he did a great job! well, this hotel has the best and perfect location. However, I did not get the room that was published on website. Web had a fantastic picture of this king bed room. Our room has a king bed but not like in the pictures. Internet was not great. We would not have access to wireless in our room. Also, light in our bathroom was flickering. Floors behind […] toilet seat was dusty and full of hair. Also there was dust in the sills. It was a good price but I don't believe I will be going back to this hotel. 더 보기

It's been 21 years since I have been in Montreal and Le Place d'Armes made wonder why. Situated on the edge of old Montreal this hotel reflected all the beauty, charm and history that Montreal has to offer. Everything about my stay here was exceptional. From the food, to my room and the attendtive staff. The location of the hotel is perfect for all that Montreal offers. Obviously in the old part of town but also within walking distance of Place des Arts where cultural events are taking place every weekend. Rooms were quaint and comfortable and the service was very good.

I would definitely return to this hotel. Room service was great. Had a king superior room with a fire place! It's close to pretty much everything. Definitely pay the extra to have the valet parking. Friendly staff and always willing to help with any question you may have.

We spent 4 nights here and it was PERFECT. Great location, comfortable (and beautiful) room, attentive staff. We LOVED this hotel. Too bad the mattress seemed a bit 'saggy'--not bad enough to spoil my sleep, but noticeable. Otherwise, we walked everywhere from here--could walk all over Old Town and the Metro station was close and convenient for going […] elsewhere. Ideal location close to tourist attractions which enabled us to return to the hotel for diaper changes when needed. My son loved the complimentary green apples at the lobby. It was food and toy for him. Every staff member we encountered were wonderful. Loved the complimentary two alcoholic beverages at Suite 701 (hotel's lounge). We ended up eating […] dinner there as well. The food was average, but cannot bet the convenience of dinning at the hotel when traveling with a toddler. My few reservations regarding the property are fixtures not in good condition and dirty refridgerator: sink with hairline crack, jetted bathtub with broken button, a spill in the fridge. The hotel’s exterior and interior was beautiful. The hotel is also in a great location. We had a basic room with a queen bed, the room was quite small like European hotels but it was comfortable and modern. The beds were super soft and the bathroom was stocked with spa products. We stayed in this hotel for one night and had a very hard time leaving for home the next day, we wanted to stay a couple more nights! It was the perfect location for touring around all day and night, lots of food and unique shops. It was a bit noisy in the morning, but that's pretty typical in an area such as Old Montreal. My husband & I stayed at this hotel a couple of years after it opened and went back again later because the service and accommodations were so wonderful. So for our 25th anniversary, we decided to go back there. When we arrived, there was no one in sight to park our car. Not even the front desk people could find the parking valets and that was the case […] whenever we needed to get the car. The restaurants were staffed by young men who knew very little about the menus and mostly stayed together talking at the service bar. The room was a nice corner one but some of the electric wall plugs were broken - you had to take one thing out to plug in another appliance. We were really disappointed. Hotel Place d'Armes really needs to train their staff better. I think they are catering to a much younger crowd of people who do not expect great service. The hotel was full of young, beautiful people who partied hard at night in the first floor lounge. For older. more cosmopolitan guests, I recommend you stay somewhere else. 더 보기

This was our first trip to Montreal, and we wanted a special hotel for the 3-day end of our 2 weeks on the road. The Place d'Armes was even better then we had hoped. We splurged on a junior suite, and our room was fabulous - two levels, with an entrance on both floors. The lower level had a king bed, closet with safe, honor bar, etc., and a great bathroom […] with a jetted tub. Amenities (shampoo, shower gel, etc.) were great. upstairs was a sitting area with a large desk, a love seat that could open to a bed, and a nice powder room. Just lovely. The hotel has a wonderful rooftop lounge and dining area that we really enjoyed, a ground floor casual restaurant and bar where a nice continental breakfast (not included) was served, or you could order from the menu, and a very nice upscale restaurant on the lower level. Staff was wonderful and we loved every minute of our stay. Recommend highly. Also, it's across the street form the Basilica de Notre Dame adn a few blocks from the Vieux Port! 더 보기

Le Place d'Armes is a great hotel directly across from Notre Dame Cathedral. Easy access to both Rue St. Paul and the Metro. Just finished our honeymoon in the Old Port and we were thrilled with Le Place d'Armes.

Great location in Old Montreal, on a cobblestone street- we were able to walk all around the city - Latin Quarter, Downtown, the Parc, Plateau, even Mile End - although that was a bit aggressive. Very close to great restaurants at night and 2 Starbucks for day. Very well designed and clean. Great rooftop bar for sunset drinks. Extremely nice staff. […] Valet parking. Complementary welcome drink at the bar per person. Great and fast food for room service. Large tub for 2 (or bubble bath). 더 보기

Great hotel, great location, great service. Had a problem with our telephone, they were on it right away until it was fixed. Everyone at front desk amazingly friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, well appointed, extremely comfortable. HUGE bathroom! Wonderful rooftop terrace, perfect for a late afternoon drink. Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel has everything you could want - great location (including close proximity to the subway), lovely room, friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Located perfectly for Old Montreal and access to Metro. I wish they had coffee in rooms was our only comment. Bar downstairs and terrace spot on top of building were very nice!

The hotel had everything you would want on your honeymoon. Close to everything, helpful staff, wonderful room, amazing bathroom.
