The only complaint was the buffet breakfast on Thursday morning. It was 30 minutes before closing buffet and should have been closed then because the food had been out to long. . We visited New Orleans for a wedding. The Renaissance was located very close to the reception and a few really excellent restaurants. We also were only a short distance from Canal Street and were able to walk to a number of places before the wedding. Very clean, great experience. Thanks!

Hotel was ok. Nice and friendly staff. However, bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel is a long walk to bourbon street / French quarter area. $13 for Internet per day is outrageous. Price from Hotels.com was good bargain.

Loved this place! It was in a perfect location & it's only 5 floors. Everything was very clean & decor is bright, beautiful and modern! You definitely need to give them a try. Don't bother paying for "Executive Level" if you're staying over a wekkend as the lounge is closed more often than open. Folks manning the front desk could have been more accommodating--both at check-in as well as check-out,

Pros: This hotel was in a perfect location, far enough away to not be right in the middle of the hustle/bustle but close enough to walk to where everything was. It's 5 stories, rooms were clean & decor is very modern/wonderful! There are several places to park around the area that are more economical than the $28-$31 per night that valet service charges.I parked in a lot that was $20 (I left the car there from Sat. evening until Monday morning)on Julia & Magazine, which is walking distance from hotel. Also, if you plan on using in/out priveleges vs. just keeping car parked, there are meters along the hotel that are for max of 2 hrs. Cons: I asked on 2 different occasions for lotion/body wash & extra towels to be brought up. After waiting over an hr.&half,called downstairs & they seemed surprised that it hadn't been brought to me. When the guy finally got there, he apologized then told me he had dropped it off in the wrong room....I'm not really believing that though. Then two days later I asked again for some items & they never even brought any up. I never called to follow up after that since it was our last night there. The Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans was clean and well designed. The parking personnel were friendly and helpful. The negative we experienced was our request for room service breakfast. This is a perfect hotel, in the edgy warehouse/arts district. It is a few blocks walk to the French Quarter, but only a block from a wide range of contemporary art galleries and well established (Emeril's) restaurants. The decor is contemporary, with Chihuly glass chandeliers and a strong, modern art collection..and good art, in the guest rooms. Though I find New Orleans, overall, a nasty, stinky city, I found this hotel to be very nice. I loved the pool/hot tub on the roof and the art placed throughout the hotel. We stayed here one night before leaving on a cruise. Location is great - close to the port for cruises. It is in the business district but not that far from French Quarter or Garden District. We really enjoyed the Arts hotel. They have a delicious breakfast buffet that comes with a huge glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

While not perfect, this hotel is clean and has a great location. Easy walk to the Quarter, and great restaurants like Cuchon, etc.

We are frequent visitors to New Orleans and stayed here for the first time. It was all great! Will definitely add this hotel to our favorites list.

We chose this hotel as it is within walking distance of our son's apartment and found it to be terrific. We normally stay at Bed & Breakfasts, but loved the convenience and comfort of the Renaissance Hotel. And the price was far lower than some others within a few blocks. It was an easy walk into the French Quarter or over to the Riverwalk area, very […] close to the convention center as well. Some renovations were going on in the lobby, but they didn't seem to interfere with anything. Rooms were very quiet and plenty of room. Also lots of counter space in the bathroom, a pet peeve of mine if lacking. The only negative is, as others have noted, the expense of using their parking. But plenty of street parking is available free just 2-3 blocks away. We never paid for parking and had no trouble finding a place. It is a safe neighborhood and we walked everywhere. 더 보기

We stay in NOLA a good bit. This was a nice hotel, just enough out of bustle of Canal and Frech Quarter that it's quite but very nice, clean, upscale! Sports bar across the street & Lucy's are a nice addition for convenience!

Just returned from our stay at the RenArts in New Orleans. Everything about the hotel was at or above expectations. Service was excellent from all persons and the room was very comfortable and immaculate. Great hotel! Perfect to walk anywhere - Superdome, Arena, French Quarter, Fulton Street, etc. Amazing places to eat next door and 2 super sports bars for football games! Would stay here again and again.

Isn't it strange that the more you pay for a hotel, the fewer services you receive? At more cost effective hotels one generally gets free wifi, free breakfast, free newpapers delivered to your door in the morning. Not so at the Renaissance Arts. You get a room. The room is ordinary. Everything else is an extra fee. The hotel is not particuliarly well […] located - a 15 to 20 minute walk to the French Quarter. Taxis are readily available, but not cheap. Nothing more to say than top. Would definitely stay there again because it is a super hotel although it is not the cheapest one. The only thing to complain would be the high parking fees - more than 30$ a day and breakfast was not included in our room rate.

This hotel is remarkable, a true hidden gem. For the cost of a room, you get to enjoy works by local artists, so it's like having a gallery right in your own backyard! Everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. The ONLY complaint is the exorbinant amount charged for parking. STUNNING, LUXURIOUS, ULTIMATE COMFORT AND ABOVE AND BEYOND --THAT SUMS UP MY STAY AT THE RENAISSANCE ARTS IN NOLA'S WAREHOUSE DISTRICT. PERFECT LOCATION. NEWER HOTEL BUILT INTO AN OLD WAREHOUSE. STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. WILL NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN NOLA!

Only issue I had was with the room's a/c not cooling it enough.

Although I had called ahead and spoken to a clerk at the front desk, the reservation was wrong when we got to the hotel. I had asked for two rooms with two beds in each room and only one room had two beds. The clerk was not sympathetic even though I informed her that I had called and been assured three days before that I had two rooms with two beds […] each. She found a room on a different floor with two beds which was not convenient since we were a family of four and wanted to be closer than that. The clerk said that was all she had. As I was leaving the desk, a supervisor asked if everything was OK and I explained my dissatisfaction. He was able to get us on the same floor. When we got to the rooms, one was dingy, dark, and hot with a terrible smell. It smelled like someone had tried to cover up another smell with a strong cleaning agent. It was so strong I was not able to stay in the room. My husband and son kindly took that room while my daughter and myself took the one down the hall. Our room was fine. The overall hotel was nice and our room was quiet and comfortable, but the other room was not. I do not like being told one thing only to arrive and find out differently. I would recommend this hotel but only if you speak to a manager about the room you want and get his name. 더 보기

Great, clean hotel with interesting art installations and decor. Located in the Warehouse/Arts district which is less than 10 minute taxi ride to the French Quarter. The area the hotel was located was nice.

I had to work in the Greater New Orleans area and decided to take my husband and make a long weekend. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating from directions to parking to collecting our packages from stores that delivered to hotels. The pool area was clean and the work out facility was amazing. The location is a nice hike from the Quarter but we […] put on our walking shoes and enjoyed the walk. The warehouse district is one of my favorites in New Orleans. We enjoyed the surrounding restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. We have stayed in New Orleans a lot over the years but we will not think twice about staying at the Renaissance. Nice clean hotel, no issues

My husband and I decided to get away for the weekend and I stumbled across this hotel and I am sure glad I did! The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms are VERY spacious and the staff is top notch! I will say this you must valet because its safe and there is no where in New Orleans to park, and don't even think about driving anywhere its insane. Take a […] cab like we did or walk. The riverwalk and casino is about a 10 min walk and Bourbon St. is about a 15 min walk. Its all accessible from the hotel! Its in a quiet enough neighborhood where you don't hear the noise of NOLA and its just a hop skip and a jump away. I must say that you NEED to see the rooftop at night, it was amazing and I regret not bringing my swimsuit because the hot tub was very inviting after a long day of shopping. One thing is a must, PLEASE tip your valet, we didn't realize that the actual lot where are truck was parked was almost a mile away and as we were leaving we watched at one young man RAN all the way to the lot. If I would have know that he would have gotten more than the $5 we gave him. All in all this hotel is great, you won't meet nicer people and take advantage of the concierge she knows alot! 더 보기

I have stayed at many hotels on every level not to mention I have moderate OCD especially when it comes to the bathrooms. This hotel was impeccable across the board. The hotel bar definitely gave me a double shot of whiskey in my drink and service is excellent. The elevator is fastest I've been on in my life!
