공항에서 20분정도 위치에 있는 힐튼 와이콜로아 빌리지는 일단 다른 리조트에 비해서 너무 너무 큽니다. 객실 또한 다른 리조트에 비해 넓구, 시설이 잘되있어서 따로 외부에 나가지 않아도 리조트안에 시설이 너무 잘되있어서 3일동안 리조트안에서만 있어도 질리지 않습니다. 빅아일랜드 방문 계획이시라면 힐튼 와이콜로아 강추 합니다:-)

거대한 규모의 리조트이며, 빼어난 해변 경치와 수려한 조경이 어우러져 편안하고 쾌적한 환경을 제공합니다. 호텔 경내가 너무나 넓어 15분 간격으로 지나가는 모노레일이나 배를 타고 이동하다가 내려서 식사를 하고 경치를 즐기는 것이 참 운치가 있습니다. 야외 수영장이 여러개 있는데, 각각 특색이 있고, 물 관리도 열심히 하더군요. 빅아일랜드를 방문한다면 다시 찾고 싶습니다. 직항 노선이 만일 생긴다면 사람들로 매우 붐빌 것 같군요.

바다,섬등 나름 인공으로 구축한 것들의 꼼꼼함이 엿보입니다. 가족들과 가기 좋으며 동고래, 스노클링등 아이들에게 특별한 즐거움들이 있습니다. 렌트해서 나가면 활화산을 볼 수 있는 드문 기회도 있습니다. 아쉬운 점이라면 완벽하지는 않습니다. 자연을 만들어 놨습니다만 좀 아쉬운 부분이 있고, 깨알같은 서비스 업셀링과 다소 높은 가격이 흠입니다. 한국의 커피값이 비싸서인지 커피값만 심적 저항을 못느끼고 다른 부분에서는 상당히 비싼 가격에 저항이 느껴집니다. 그렇지만 리조트내 시설을 생각하면 합리적인 편입니다

해외여행을 갈 때 마다 약 2개국 정도는 빼고 단체 여행을 따라 간 적이 없습니다. 이번에 하와이 Big island에 갔을 때도 마찬가지로 rent해서 한 호텔에 머물면서 주변을 돌아 다니려 했습니다. 근데 Big island가 거리가 크고 도로 사정이 그렇게 썩 좋은 곳이 아니라서 Rent는 그 다지 권하고 싶지 않습니다. 좋은 호델들이 코나와 와이콜로아 지역에 몰려 있는데 그곳에서 차를 몰고 할레아칼라 볼케이노 가려면 고생합니다. 또 마우나 케아 갈 때도 길이 장난이 아닙니다. 저는 차를 할레아칼라 갈때 한 번 가져가며 고생하고 거의 세워 놓았습니다. Hilton Waikoloa에서 booking해서 헬기 투어 마우나케아, […] Hilton내 돌고래 이벤트, 그리고 배 타고 나가는 스노클링 등의 active를 이용했습니다. 그러니 아주 편하더군요. 호텔에서 active를 하거나 아니면 예약해시만 외부에서 Pick하고 데려다 줍니다. 그리고 호텔 내에 모든 것이 다 있습니다. 사실 외부 스노틀링 가는 것 보다 호텔 내 라쿤에서 하는 것이 더 좋습니다. 인공으로 만들었지만 바다와 연결되어 쓸물 밀물이 있고 고기도 엄청 많고 특히 하와이 녹색 거북 호누와도 여유롭게 수영할 수있습니다. 저는 호누 등의 이끼에 수영하면서 제 영문 애칭도 적어 놓았습니다, 수영장도 많고 정말 시설도 완벽합니다. 아쉬운 것은 본관 빼놓고 나머지 바들은 문 닫습니다. 정말 9시 넘으면 적막감이 흐릅니다. 밤 문화가 호텔에는 없으나 밖에 가면 킹스숍 킹즈플레이스인가 하는 것이 있는데 그곳에 많은 바와 음식점 쇼핑센터가 많습니다. 호텔에서 걷기는 좀 머나 상시 셔틀이 왕래합니다. 또 호텔이 너무커서 호털내 이동이 불편합니다. 모노레일 같은 것이 있으나 시간 잘 못 맞추면 기다려야 하고 또 매우 느립니다. 운하가 있어 배도 다니는데 오후 시간만 다닙니다. 그러나 익숙해지면 지름길로 걸어 가면 됩니다. 또 호텔 고객들이 주로 할배 할매 그리고 가족끼리 오는 경우가 대부분입니다. 휴양지 이니까요. 와이키키 힐튼이랑은 분위기 차이가 너무 납니다. 그러나 몇가지 불편한 것이 있으나 해결할 방법이 있고 제가 여행 다니면서 그렇게 잘 갖쳐져 있는 호텔은 처음 보았습니다. 휴양과 관광, Activity을 완벽하게 즐길 수 있는 곳 바로 여기가 아닐까 합니다. 밤 문화를 즐기 시려면 조금만 밖으로 나가면 됩니다. 그리고, 여러개의 공동 세탁기가 있어서 옷은 너무 많이 안 가져가셔도 됩니다. 5박 이상은 되어야 최소한 이라고 생각됩니다. 더 보기

빅아일랜드의 경관이 느껴질수 있는 곳에 위치한 호텔은 아침 부페도 맛있고 무엇보다 스노쿨링하기에 적당하고 그 밖의 곳곳에 경치좋은곳에서 태닝할수도 있고 모노레일이 있어 다니기에도 좋았습니다. 직원들도 모두 친절하고 룸도 청결하게 잘 되어있었구요 단 호텔이여서 인지 아침 뷔페이외의 먹거리 가격은 좀 비쌌다는 느낌이 들고 렌트를 안한고 셔틀버스로 근처 마켓과 저녁먹으러 나갔는데 셔틀의 배차간격이 좀 길다는 게 좀 아쉬웠습니다. 어린 자녀가 있어도 좋고 가족여행으론 이만한 곳이 없을듯 합니다.

객실은 깨끗하고 리조트는 관리가 잘 되어 있습니다. 이 호텔은 뻗어져나가는 구조로 되어있고 객실 건물들은 호텔 구역 내 여기저기에 퍼져 있습니다. 보트와 전차가 리조트 구역 여러 군데로 가는 셔틀을 제공합니다. 하지만 걷는 게 더 빨라 보였습니다. 리조트는 디즈니월드 같은 느낌을 주고 가족들을 위한 공간으로 꾸며져 있습니다. 그래서 저는 커플들에게는 추천하지 않습니다.

바다의 아름다운 풍경이 보이는 멋진 호텔입니다. 이곳은 또한 무성한 정원들에 둘러싸여져 있고 바다거북들과 귀여운 물고기들이 있는 석호에서 수영도 할 수 있습니다. 돌고래 훈련소도 있고, 여러 개의 수영장과 미끄럼틀이 있습니다. 이 리조트에서는 절대 심심할 수가 없습니다.

이곳은 마치 놀이기구만 빠진 디즈니랜드 같은 느낌을 줍니다. 하지만, 해안가에 있는 위치는 타의 추종을 불허합니다. 제 딸은 이곳에서 며칠 전 결혼식을 올렸습니다. 훌륭한 위치입니다.

The Hilton Waikoloa village is ideal for a family, especially one with small children. The lagoon provides a wonderful environment for snorkeling in ocean water that is still safe and "managed" as part of the resort. Very pretty hotel but so big and manicured it kind of feels like you're at disneyworld more than in hawaii. You can take a tram around the grounds or do a long walk. Very huge hotel and nice. Sort of like a Disnelyland for resorts. Restaurants and drinks etc... are extremely expensive but amenities are pretty much unbeatable for a resort. It has to be the nicest hotel on the Big Island and this is coming from a sane person!

This is a beautiful destination resort - however, there were three issues for us: the resort is so large that it takes a long time to get back an forth to your room, it is very windy on this part of the island - made it not as conducive to sitting out or swimming - and it is almost an hour's drive away from the downtown Kona area.

Wonderful hotel. Certainly large and a pricey place to stay but totally worth it! The hotel has beautiful views of the ocean- a totally "worth it" up-grade in hotel rooms. Make sure you are prepared for the costs of Everything in this resort- dinner for 5 was $180, breakfast buffet was over $100 for family of five. afternoon drinks were $50 by the lagoon, […] and stand up paddle boarding was $50 for an hour. Even a garden view room, in addition to a great gold course view had a silver of ocean. Kids loved the breakfast buffet, water slides, and the macaws placed throughout the hotel. I loved the art and the long pathways to walk along the ocean and the many places to sit or enjoy nature. Best of all was the lagoon- feeds directly to the ocean and has fish, sea turtles, and even an eel that wandered in. Shallow water not more than 6 - 8 feet feet at the deepest part and a perfectly clear, perfect conditions for snorkeling and swimming with the fish. Ocean water waterfall incredible, and the sandy shoreline with plentiful reclining chairs and bar service means after paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming... You can be delivered something delicious to your parched lips. We didnt go, but they also have Swimming with dolphins on site- I walked by and watched for a while. I would recommend this hotel for those truly looking for a resort. Otherwise you may feel trapped by the enormity of the place. They run special deals to try to get people to eat on site which can be helpful. As someone who wanted to do other things in the area, it was a challenge to plan ahead for the 20 plus minutes it took to walk from my room to […] my car (and I walk quickly). I guess this is to be expected at a 62,000 acre resort (that is what their materials said) but a bit challenging. Despite all that, I could not ind a pool towel at 9pm when the pool is open until 11pm and it took 15 minutes of hunting around with a poor staffer to find said towel. The resort fee of $25 does not really cover anything besides Internet access and they make you pay it. Another $17 for self parking on top of what is already a $200 plus room seems unwarranted. Also, at least if you stay in the Ocean Tower, the birds joyfully announce the sunrise- usually before 6am at least in February- and the rooms are not soundproofed. 더 보기

After checking in, our luggage took almost an hour to be delivered to our room. When finally delivered, he noticed the deadbolt on our door had fallen off (it was on the ground outside the room)so we had no 2nd lock. We were woken […] up at 4am by about 1000 birds going crazy out in the courtyard. Other guests were complaining about this as well-it was ridiculous! We ate at an outdoor place by the dolphins and our waitress was horrible! Nobody came for over 20min, my husband finally went to the bar to ask for service. We ordered, then never saw our waitress again until the end. Someone else brought our food, we had to track down a different waitress for water, and finally after waiting for forever for the bill, our waitress came by with it, all smiley and chipper. Terrible service for so-so food. On the morning of our checkout we called for assistance with our luggage and were told someone would be there in 10min...after waiting 35 min (no joke!) we finally hauled it down ourselves, and happily checked out of this hotel. The rooms were a bit dated and could use a little facelift and the food could bankrupt you if you don't watch your money. That being said, it is a great place for families. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the resort. Beautiful grounds and we loved all the different sculptures, statues, artwork and museum pieces everywhere you looked. We snorkeled everyday in the lagoon which is ideal for beginners or children. So many turtles in the water swimming along with you, it was great! So many places to sit and watch […] amazing sunsets. We never had a bad meal, all the food was very good. We had just a few issues, such as very long waits in the lobby to sign up for things, not enough staff perhaps? Also, we hated having to pay a 25$ resort fee every day, for what? Free Internet and DVD rentals? We don't mind paying a higher rate for resorts, especially this one which had so much to offer but an additional daily resort fee on top of the room rate and very high rates for anything offered at the resort, renting kayaks, paddle boats, swimming with the dolphins etc.... The resturants are also extremely expensive, breakfast prices were ridiculous. We went to Costco and bought cereal and milk and lots of snacks which worked out great! Based on Expedia reviews and reviews at other travel sites, we knew this wasn't going to be the Four Seasons -- but it was perfect for our kids, both the 3 year old and the 13 year old. Waterslides, sea turtles, salt-water lagoon with paddleboats and snorkeling, mini-golf, motorized trams, waterfalls, dolphins, pretty good pizza, free PS3 and Blu-Ray […] rentals, etc. -- what's not to love? The rooms were indeed a bit dated, and the property itself isn't always in tip-top shape (including garbage floating in the waterways, etc.). The resort is very large and spread out. Much time is spent walking from point A to point B, or waiting for a tram or boat if one does not feel like walking. My room was on the 8th floor (nice view) however no where near an elevator, which made hauling all of our luggage a chore.
