The bed was definitely not queen size and the HBO and Showtime were not working.

The staff was friendly. The individual rooms were clean. The only issue was the musty smell throughout the hotel. The pool area had a very strong musty, "wet dog" smell.

The location was great right on the main ave where all stores and restaurants are located. A short drive to the big E and downtown Springfield. The room was a great size for our family of 4 plus. It was very clean and had all the amenities of home supplied in the kitchen. Worked out well having the frig, and dishwasher, with the kids and the free laundry […] and dryer use. The pool room was a little stuff smelt alot of pool chemicals and was humid. The pool room also echoed very loudly was too much for the little one. The elevator was a little slow, but it was mainly do to the fact that it was a very busy weekend. Didn't use the gym but it looked very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We rented four rooms at this hotel for four nights for a Trade Show at the Big E. The price was a little high but the rooms were very clean and the staff at the front desk was EXCELLENT -- they did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and convenient. None of us had the time/energyt o check out the pool but it seemed very hot and humid […] downstairs. We did use the workout room and all of the equipment was clean and in working order. And the rooms were clean and comfortable -- internet access worked great. Overall -- good choice. 더 보기

Our check in was easy and quick with very knowledgeable personell at the front desk at all times.Our room was very spacious with all ammenities possible. We were extremely pleased concidering this is not always possible when travelling with a dog. Our only suggestion would be to install new windows offering better sound protection from the highway on […] one side. The parking lot is well lit at night with easy access to the hotel lobby door and easy access off the main road. There were many great restaurants and stores within 5 minutes drive along with a good chain restaurant just a walking path from the hotel. I look foward to staying with our pet again when visiting the area and will look for this chain in other locations when travelling. 더 보기

We stayed at teh Candlewood in Springfield as an overnight on our The hotel itself was fine, clean and spacious room with basic facilities such as coffee maker, iron etc. However, the bath tub needed a good scrub and we decided to give this a miss for one night. Staff were pleasant enough, especially the receptionist on in the morning who could not do enough to help. Just be aware that the main drive is very poorly lit and we missed it twice from the road. We had to look for markers to find it. Locak facilities are excellent. Shopping plaza about a mile down the road with several places to eat (nothing fancy but quick and convenien). Good location to interstates. Liked having the convenience pantry and in-suite kitchen. All basics provided. Did not understand the Bar-b-que gazebo in the parking lot...is this a local thing?

Overall good place, but we had a bad experience with a visit to the pool. Another guest family was there and allowing their children to run wild. They had thrown every piece of safety equipment in the pool and there were no towels available for at least twenty minutes.

We have stayed at several hotels over the past few years and the Candlewood Suites in Springfield, MA keeps topping the list. The hotel has been recently renovated and that is a huge plus because the renovations were done in a serious manner--no shortcuts. Great materials (when is the last time you had granite kitchen and bath counters?) and nice attention […] to detail. The room have plenty of lighting and good, comfortable beds. The hotel is also pet friendly--we were in Springfield for a big Dog Show where our Border Collie won a five point Major and became an AKC Champion! The only complaint is a noise issue from the highway and idling trucks below our room, which on this trip was on the back side of the hotel. I will request the front side from now on. Finally the staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. They seem to like working for this company. If you need a hotel close to the five colleges in Western Massachusetts, you will not do better that the Candlewood Suites. Sure, it's a 25 minute drive to UMass, Amherst or Smith, but the hotel experience is well worth the extra miles. 더 보기

The layout of the rooms is great -- efficiency kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, plates, silverware, pots and pans... beds, bathroom, work desk/breakfast nook all work nicely for an inviting space. Nice pool, too! The hallways were a bit worn -- carpet isn't brand new, hotel smelled a bit musty in places... but it's cleaner than I keep my own […] house :) , I'm just a bit spoiled from all the spiffy upgrades that other chain hotels provide. We don't need perfection, right? Just clean enough, comfy enough, that's plenty. The staff was wonderful, and the price is great. I'd definitely stay here again. 더 보기

We enjoyed our stay. It was quite (at least on the 4th floor). The beds were comfortable and it was nice having a kitchenette. The room was designed where we didn't feel cramped. We would use this hotel again.

All of the reviews on hotels.com for the hotel were 5.0 when I looked. I thought it was going to be great, but was very disappointed. I arrived at 1:40 a.m. and it took 5 rooms before I found one I could stay in. In three of the rooms the TV was not working and the fourth room was incredibly musty. Overall the hotel seemed well maintained. The room was nice and seemed rather new, but the bathroom was a different story. Maybe it's because it is my pet peeve, but moldy ceilings in the shower, no fan, dirty floor, was not what I expected. However, nice bedding, adequate kitchenette.

Good place to stay for an extended stay because you have all your appliances

the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very nice. for the price of the room, you get so much more. i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a few nights away.

We will definitely be staying at this hotel again upon our next visit to Six Flags. It was only 5 miles away and we were able to get to the park on the back roads! Everything was very comfortable, despite the fact we got a smoking room when we requested a nonsmoking.. We were even able to have a late check out!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were all helpful with our requests and questions. The room was clean and newly updated with granite countertops in the kitchen & bath. WiFi connection was perfect! I travel in this location for work and will certainly return!

Although we only stayed in the hotel for one night, it was a great space and close to nearby Six Flags, where we spent the day. We were tired, so we had dinner at the adjacent IHop, then retired to our room with one of the free DVD's the front desk offers to guests. The hotel would be an excellent choice for a family or others who were staying longer, […] and they think of everything. In addition to the kitchen with all dishes, etc, they even thought to provide a laundry basket for toting clothes to the hotel's laundry room.
