Quiet courtyard location in Old Town just steps from the square and Tyn Church. Very spacious room (triple). Ample breakfast with wide selection in the cellar of the Italian Restaurant. Many tourist restaurants nearby but try Apropos a short walk away for a real Czech experience. You'd better be a carnivore! You can walk to everything.

We very much appreciated the service desk staffer who carried our luggage up and down 80 steps to our room. He was quite a hard worker and seemed to be always on duty. No wonder he was so thin!. We enjoyed the breakfast that came with the room stay. The location to the sights of Prague couldn't be better.

Stayed here for a family holiday vacation. I booked 2 rooms for 10 days each. Both rooms were very spacious with a living area separate from the sleeping quarters which was important since we were there for 10 days over the Christmas and New Year's holidays! The location is ideal--central to all attractions. We could walk anywhere we wanted to go within […] minutes...we even walked to the Prague Castle toured it and back!!! We opted for the breakfast which is well worth it served at the restaurant next door every morning. Internet access was a bit sketchy. It worked in our rooms but you had to find the right spot and stay there; otherwise, we could go to the lobby with our iPad or phones and pick up a signal. I would stay here again in a heartbeat--highly recommend this hotel!!! 더 보기

Location in Prague Old Town is exceptional. We were 2 minute walk from the Christmas markets. Our triple room was cavernous; much larger than expected in Europe. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of hot water and water pressure. Our room included breakfast, which we would recommend.

The location is fantastic and one minute away from the old town square. The room is elegant, beautiful. The bathroom is clean and modern. The Internet connection works very well. The free breakfast is just phenomenal. I have been there three times and I will always go back. It is my choice for Prague.

The hotel was nice, charming, in a beautiful historic building and in a perfect location for must see activities. Rooms were clean and spacious. The reception hosts were not very helpful or friendly. Language barrier did not appear to be an issue as they spoke good english.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Metamorphis. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and even had some British channels on TV. Reception staff were very helpful. Location was superb - about 100m from Old Town Square and in the historic Umgelt area, but still quiet and undisturbed by street noise at night. Breakfast was in the 13th Century […] gothic cellar of the Restaurant next door - "Eat as much as you can" - and included a good variety of choices, typical of any European hotel catering for travellers from a wide range of countries. I enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The room was a single but with a double bed on the top floor and it was huge by hotel room standards as was the very nice bathroom. There was only one tiny window which was strange and the room, even in 30-degree F. weather, it was too warm and hard to get cool without opening window which brought in excessive […] street noise. There was a bar on the street below called Chapeau Rouge that was extremely noisy at all hours so without my earplugs, I would have been in trouble. The breakfast room is terrific in an old underground cellar with arches and stairwells that go on forever which was very atmospheric and fun. However, the staff overall was very so-so with no energy or friendliness that you'd expect in a fun-loving city like Prague. With the exception of Monica at the front desk,the staff was simply not helpful or friendly. That was a big surprise to me as a customer. Not sure I'd stay there again unfortunately. 더 보기

The Metamorphosis is an older hotel that is located in an old Prague square just behind the Tyn church and Old Town Square. It was more of an apartment (without kitchen) than a hotel, and was in every way perfect for what we were seeking. Which was a quiet and comfortable place to return to after wandering Prague for hours at a time. We had a huge beedroom, […] an ante-room and a bathroom, in addition to a small entry vestibule. I had two different rooms and thought they were both charming. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff, helpful. The location is really fantastic and near some great restaurants. After coming from Rome, we walked into our room at Hotel Metamorphis and were more than happy. A very spacious beautifully decorated room. Very nice and comfortable hotel, we stayed there in summer and the A/C was a thumb up. Excellent Breakfast, Attentive staff, overall perfect. Walking distance to astronomical clock was another great plus. The suite we had with huge bathroom including Jacuzzi ( which was not working, lol). But we enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it.

The hotel was in a superb position, close to the centre of the old town. It was therefore rather noisy at night until about 12.30 a.m. Our apartment was huge, it had nice furniture and included a smart kitchen. Unfortunately, the kitchen had virtually no cooking utensils or basic things like washing up liquid. The staff were helpful and efficient, but […] not particularly friendly. The bathroom door did not shut and did not lock. The bathroom was rather dark. The breakfast buffet was not that good. The food table should have been accessible from both sides and the food more conveniently arranged. I got covered in yoghurt! The bacon was fatty and not crispy. The eggs were cold and hard boiled. My wife and I just spent four wonderful days at the Metamorphis Hotel and it was everything we had hoped for...and more! The hotel is literally minutes away from Old Town square, but located in a quiet and lovely courtyard. The staff were all excellent and went out of their way to help us with concert tickets, directions, eating suggestions and all […] of the various things that come up from guests like us. This hotel was very comfortable and had all the important amenities.It is located in a charming little square and very convenient to Old Town Square and shopping. The room was clean and bright and breakfast was very filling. There is a good bit of street noise during the evening/night.

The hotel is gorgeous. Lovely rooms (we had a suite) and the bathroom was to die for. Pretty sure a NYC hotel room would fit in this bathroom. Tile shower, heated towels, two toilets (smile). Great views of old town. Now ... The bad part. I don't know if this is just normal in Prague or not, but the front desk was LESS than helpful. Basically the only […] thing they did for us was collect out key every time we left. The thing that bothered me the most was when we arrived at midnight and the guy says "the good news is that we habe you Ina lovely room but the bad news is that it's on the top (fourth) floor and we have no lift.". He never even bothered to OFFER to help us carry our two 50lb bags upstairs. In addition, we asked him for recommedations for classical music concerts (because that's what the literature in the room told us to do - it said they'd be happy to help!). The guy responds with "no idea. I hate classic music." um ... Ok. We weren't inviting you to come with us. In summary .... Really nice hotel in a fantastic location, within a 5 minute walk of the old square. Friendly, helpful staff and nice, comfortable room. It did overlook a busy, noisy street, particularly late at night but there were double windows in the room which were amazing at keeping the noise out! Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

This hotel is directly behind Old Town Square. From here you can walk to anything you want to see in Prague. Plus its near lots of cafes and restaurants. The hotel staff is very helpful and will arrange service to and from the airport. Breakfast is included in the price which is very reasonable.

Though we reserved a room at the Metamorphis, we were given a room at the Metamorphis Excellent (which is what this review is based on).
