The included breakfast was great. I parked on the street at the job (a couple blocks away) to save some $. This hotel was a bit $ more than I would typically spend, but it is quite a nice place to stay. Free wifi worked fine. The only downside for me was I never got the chance to use the pool because it closes at 9pm.

Outstanding stay in Alexandria. Close to metro, shopping and restaurants. Great hotel

We were very happy with this hotel, the room had its own kitchen, fridge etc and was spacious. It was a few 100 yards from the metro and about 15 mins walk to the river in old town. The hotel also had a complimentary bus service.

Wow, were we impressed with the hotel. First, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and explained everything. I am a serious first impression person and this hotel gets an A plus for front desk. Our room was perfect. We did not use the parking lot, but instead parked on the street directly behind the hotel. Free week-end parking. Plenty to […] do within walking distance all day and night. Absolutely no concern at night. Get the train right across the street. Unbelieveably convenient. Finally, the breakfast, which is included, is terrific. I visit family in D.C. often and this is my new favorite hotel. I find it hard to believe the hotel is only 3 stars. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Staff was genuinely friendly, hotel was very clean, parking was onsite and the breakfast was great. Distance was an easy walk to the main shops & restaurants of old town. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. In every way it exceeded expectations. It's close to the Metro (but not so close that you hear the horns) and close to King St, so everything is within walking distance, And there is a superb Whole Foods store a block away. The area is safe to walk at night. The hotel itself was great... easy check in […] and parking in the back...fantastic suite with kitchen and seating area...comfy bed and pillows...spacious room with nice decor and little touches such as candy and popcorn and free newspapers at the front desk. Breakfast selections were the best I've ever seen at a hotel, and they even have a complimentary social hour with salad and soup in the evenings (M-TH). We only stayed at the hotel for one night so that we could do some Christmas shopping in Old Town Alexandria and then visit Mount Vernon the next day. We enjoyed our stay and could see the benefits of having a kitchen available. I just wish we could have used it! Loved the rates, the large room, the kitchen (especially the refrigerator), the bathroom sink located OUTSIDE the WC. Disliked the fact that there are no maintenance staff overnight. Had a toilet backup problem around 1:30am; called front desk, they sent security up with a plunger. Plunger not helpful so at 1:45am called front desk back and asked if […] we could have access to another room for restroom facilities. They sent up security with room key to neighboring room. This was a great location and a very comfortable hotel. Alexandria is close to DC by transit or car. Safe, historic, and fabulous restaurants.

The hotel is well kept, staff is very helpful. GYm is superb with swimming pool and life gaurd. Location is two block from metro station and close to amtrak in alexandria. street parking is available close by and is free on weekends. Lots of sightseeing close by and nice restaurants. Excellent stay over Labor Day weekend (Saturday & Sunday nights). Very nice hotel and surrounding area. Easy check-in process and connected parking garage. Wifi was very easy to connect to and the breakfast buffet was well beyond the basic bagels and cereal I was expecting. The 1 bedroom suit I had was very spacious and more than enough room to spread […] out in. Areas for improvement: room service is catered by the restaurant next door and ends at 10pm - later service would be great; I wanted to order one night but it was too late, so I can't comment on the quality of the food. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were there from Friday until Sunday and I don't know that I have a single complaint. The staff was very nice and very helpful, always willing to answer questions. Our room was very clean, well kept, updated, etc... The continental breakfas was wonderful... waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, etc […] etc... Lots of stuff to choose from! And hot as well. We liked the location of the hotel... a short was from the metro and not very far from all the shops and resturants on King Street. We used the free shuttle a few times to take us downtown and then would just walk home at night. I was 34 weeks pregnant and had no problems with the walk! We would definitely recomend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend some time in Alexandria and Washington!!! Great plave to stay!!! 더 보기

Absolutely no complaints! We loved the hotel as well as Old Town Alexandria. This was a perfect and safe place to stay. It was very easy to get to DC from this location.

You can't beat the value for the price at this hotel. The hot breakfast in the mornings is delicious. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay. Some of the rooms have a better view than others, just ask and the front desk will try to accomodate you.

I made reservations for 3 families gathering for a wedding. It was the first time in 2 years that we had been together. I had requested 2 adjoining rooms and the 3rd room very near the other 2 rooms. I made the reservation 3 months in advance. When we arrived at the hotel, 2 rooms were on the 3rd floor, not adjoining and the 3rd room was on the 6th […] floor. I was told there was no note about the adjoining rooms or that the room should be together. Also, one of the rooms was booked through Expedia, which was a complete surprise since I spoke with the Marriott Hotel directly to be sure my request for room in close proximity would be understood. I did not make the reservation through Expedia. I am very disappointed. I've always had great stays at Marriot hotels. When making the reservations, it was difficult to understand the representative due to a strong accent in her speech and she did not seem to understand me either. I am very disappointed in my stay at the Marriott. Also $18 for parking is ridiculous. Of course there is no where else to park in Alexandria. I felt taken advantage of. 더 보기

My husband recently had surgery and is still slightly incapacitated---the staff was exctremely helpful to him---we used the hotel shuttle to go over to King St. and told our driver, Mike, that we would be returning in an hour or so....my husband wanted to try walking back to the hotel, his leg gave out about 2 blocks from the hotel, and I was holding […] him upright and Mike the shuttle driver came by and said that he was worried about us, and that he came looking for us, he helped my husband into the van and drove us bac...we were reallly grateful that he took it upon himself to check on us....later that day when he saw me he asked how my husband was doing and did he need to go to the ER----his concern was more than what we ecxpected.. We are a party of three mid 70's. The shuttle to the Metro Station was very helpful. The breakfasts were a great start to a busy day. The staff was very helpful. The city of Alexandria is filled with historical beauty. We definitely recommend the hotel and the location for a DC trip.

You can't beat this hotel for the price...free, delicious breakfast, free coctails, close to the train and metro station, personal service for restaurant reservations, free shuttle service. I'll definitely stay here again.

The staff is friendly and responded quickly to our needs. They provide a lite dinner on certain nights with wine. And a complimentary breakfast that is really good. The rate for parking was cheaper than expected so that was a plus. It was really easy to get to and from the hotel to the convention. There is a restaurant next door and a whole foods market […] up the street. Not to far is a movie theater and plenty of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind returning next year. 더 보기

This hotel is a very good value for the area. It is slightly off the main street, but still within easy walking of all local attractions and the Metro station. The hotel van will take you to nearby sites. You can easily and quickly get to attractions in DC by taking Metro, so this would be an ideal central location for visiting the area. We went to Alexandria to celebrate First Night with friends. It was even better than we'd expected. We had dinner in our room so we could make the most of the entertainment provided in venues all over town. We were a little surprised that the "full kitchen" advertised didn't include an oven, but the Whole Foods was so close that we easily changed dinner […] plans. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn Old Town Alexandria for two nights. It is ridiculously convenient to the King St. Metro and the shops and restaurants on King St. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The only complaint I have, really, is that the bathroom floor was a tad dirty, and the shampoo and conditioner aren't great. But that's […] silly stuff. For the price we paid -- hundreds below the going rates in D.C. itself -- we got the deal of the century. Because of its convenience to the Metro (which takes you directly into all the sights in D.C.) and its low price, I HIGHLY recommend this for your next D.C. visit. Very handy hotel and reasonably priced for the area. Suites are very nice and include Kitchen appliances so you do not always need to eat out at local overpriced restaurants. Would stay here again.

Great hotel if you are traveling with family. Very comfortable beds, quiet, and extremely clean. Outstanding breakfast selection, something for everyone.
