킹 프레더릭 인 (King Frederik Inn) - 솔뱅

UtahIt was fine, we stay there every two year's, or so, for a convention. It was noisy in the neighborhood each night, with music, etc., but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Reception was outstanding! Best place in town for the money, we think.One light was out in shower. Funny light switch placement. Pool no longer heated, it seemed. We'll be back!

My only real critisism is the terrible musty smell in the room. We finally got used to it, but it was really bad.

We had a wonderful stay at the Frederik. The staff were helpful and polite. The room was clean and kept clean throughout our stay. It is located close to all the restaurants and shops, which made it easy to walk and explore Solvang. I hope to return again soon.

It was a very safe environment and in a convenient location but I room had a strange musty smell like it had not been used in months.

My first impression of this hotel was the front desk clerk rolling their eyes and making the "tsk" sound in front of 25 customers in the lobby who were waiting to check in. That was my experience at this hotel and it happened several times while I waited to check in. The room was well kept and the rest of the stay was fine.

Stayed in two twin unit just east of pool. Pool & Jacuzzi worked for a kids soccer pool party. Lots of good eats & shops within walking distance, even for kids. Contintential breakfast is excellent pastries & coffee/juice, but little else.

My g/f, her daughter, and myself took a little trip to So. Cal and stopped in Solvang on the way. We thought the hotel was nice and the rates were decent for the hotel quality. It also helped we were right next to the hot tub, which made it easy for us to take a dip while the little tyke was sleeping. I would stay here again...

This was a nice clean hotel, it is right in the middle of town, a perfect location. It's no 4 star but very comfortable. I will continue to stay at the King Frederick every time I visit Solvang.

A quick three day weekend to go wine tasting with friends. Average rooms. Clean and comfy. Light switches are labeled because their not in the logical locations. The biggest selling point is location location location. Only used the car when going out to the surrounding towns. They have continental breakfast (didn't try). My wife and I enjoyed our 2 day stay while in Solvang. The hotel was more than expected which included a Danish breakfast ,juice and coffee. The room was very clean while the location was great for walking the town. Only problem, they were a little slim on soap and no shampoo. Other than those two items our stay was very pleasant.

The sheets had stuff that felt like sand so I scrapped some off into a cup to show them. Terrible! They still only gave us 15% off our bill instead of voiding the whole thing. Terrible stay. Who knows what we were sleeping in and on. They apparently really didn't care.

We were pleasently surprised with this hotel! For being a 2 - 2.5 star we expected a lot less and got much more! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. One of the things I hate most about traveling is the pillows you generally get - not very comfortable - but theirs was very nice and the bed was comfortable. My bestie and I were unable to go to LA for our annual Fall vacation, so we decided to hit the Central Coast of California instead. First stop was Solvang for some pastries, cuckoo clocks, and of course nearby Pea Soup Andersen's. The room we had […] was adorable, immaculate, and had everything we needed from a table and chairs outside of our room (217) to sit and view the pool, to free internet, angel soft pillow top beds, and quiet, quiet, quiet. We were there on a Thursday night in late September, so I am sure that was a contributing factor. The staff was amazingly friendly, efficient, and ready to greet, and serve. It was the best night, best value and best choice of our entire trip for a place to stay. I can't wait to go back to Solvang again, and there is no other place I would consider staying. 더 보기

We stopped for just one night on our way from Santa Cruz to San Diego. hadn't been to Solvang since I was 10 so wanted something right downtown, within walking distance to dinner and the brewery. A great experience we had staying at this hotel. Yes, it is a bit old, but clearly well maintained and staffed with very hospitable employees. We left our Netbook in a drawer, they retreived it and sent it down to us the next day. Their service and responsiveness was just great. If you want to be in the middle of Solvang, walking distance to all of the good stuff, this is a nice place. I had a great time.

Hopefully they get the hot tub fixed (no bubbles)right soon. Winter is coming. I suggest you skip the breakfast and go get a real one. Unless you are into pastries and toast. Needs some fruit and milk. Great location. Close to everything Solvang.

The location was great, but the mattress and pillows were lumpy. For the price of the motel it was not worth it just for location. Was disappointed. They said the mattress was new, but you could see the lumps in it. If this was new, hate to see what old ones were.

The place is great. It's no frills so don't expect much. However, it is clean, decent, and right smack in the middle of things. We went on a Monday so the price was cheap. Happy with the experience.

This is an older motel. Looks like it has been refurbished recently. Rooms could use better sound-proofing but beds comfortable & room good sized. The location is great. Right in the middle of town. You can walk to everything. Breakfast is basic continental.

We enjoyed the stay but your rooms aren't worth what you charge. We have stayed in Anaheim at a remodeled Motel Six and it out did your facility at half the price. The walking distances though is your high point.

the room was a little small but that is typical of any standard queen room in the heart of solvang, so that wasn't an issue. the location was excellent and we always got a parking spot right in front of our room. the room was on the first floor, street side, right under the stair case so we could hear street noise and people walking up and down the […] stairs all night long. we didn't have an adjoining room so we couldn't hear any of our neighbors, which other reviewers complained about. overall, we had a good time, the staff was nice and accomodating, but the noise kept us from getting good night sleeps. 더 보기

This is an older property in Solvang. It was very affordable in a town of high priced alternatives. Not the Ritz, but comfortable, clean, and in a convenient location. All in all, it was a nice place to stay without breaking the bank.

We had a lovely time at the King Frederick. I've already written directly to the Hotel. The bed was so wonderfully comfortable that we slept like painted rocks. The wall AC worked very well. The King Frederick is conveniently located at just about the center of town and we walked everywhere, driving during a weekend day just isnt a great idea with most […] people walking about. Location right in the heart of Solvang-close to everything. Our room was right on the main street, but it was still very quiet. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was right in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. Close to lots of restaurants, shopping and wine tasting. Nice pool area.

This was the 1st time we stayed there and was pleasantly surprised. Room was very comfortable and right in the heart of town. Very nice experience

Overall it was a nice place. I had my niece graduating from UCSB so everywhere close by was booked. The only big complaint I had was price. Also you should bring your own pillows or use the decorative ones because the main pillows on the bed felt like a bunch of clothes in a sack. My neck hurt after one night on it. This Inn is basically a best western regular room. I found it very convenient to have a refrigerator in the room. It was comfortable and most importantly conveniently located. We had a great time walking in Solvang and didn't have to drive to get around. We had a lovely stay at the KFI: a nice pool & spa, a very comfortable bed and a clean, well appointed room. It was an easy, short stroll to most of the shops and restaurants (check out Angelica's Cafe). I have to dismiss the previous negative reviewers as being overly fussy or generally negative by nature, since I did not see any evidence of most of […] their criticism. This was the third time staying at this Hotel and it is still a FAVORITE. The staff is very accommodating and the location is great. We will stay again...........

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Location was great. Was able to walk everywhere. I have no complaints and believe me, if I did, I would tell you. I highly recommend staying here.
