This place was wonderful. The room was very clean and the staff very pleasant.

Excellent hotel at a relatively affordable price. Our room was very clean and quiet. The room was was also very comfortable. The on-location restaurant was very good.

The People here are great. You definitely get more for your $$$. We will definitely come back. It's a hidden treasure.

this is a convenient location. The bathroom counter could stand to be a bit larger, but there are nice extras - robes, water in the room, rubber bath mat. Weak coffee both in the lobby and in the room. The 1 queen room is a bit tiny - hardly any room to move around and parking got scarce on a Friday night,.

ROOM AND STAFF WERE GREAT. NICE, CHARMING NEIGHBORHOOD TO WALK IN SURROUNDING HOTEL.

What a delight! Quaint hotel ~ restaurant downstairs from our room, blocks from State Street. Not a luxurious hotel which was perfect for our needs but had everything we could want, pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, near shopping area.. EVERYTHING. We would definitely stay there again, and the staff was truly very hospitable. Thank you!

The room was well appointed given the cost per night, however the bed was not comfortable. It was way too soft and seemed worn out as it sunk in the middle. Also the wall paper was a bit worn out in the bathroom. The restaurant was good and the staff friendly.

this hotel is a little far from all the bars and shops but was great at night. nice and quiet and a short cab ride to state street.

The hotel itself is very nice- has a pool and a jacuzzi and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in one of the 1-bedroom units. The room was great, lots of space and nice touches like robes and water bottles. The problem was when we tried to go to sleep. The windows in the room are 1970's glass slats- they let in both the cold and the noise. The […] heating unit was really loud when it turned on and off and rattled the bedroom door. Our until also happened to be right above the maintenance garage and the workers started at 6:30AM. It was just a bad night of sleep four our family and we paid a lot for the one bedroom thinking with kids, it would make for a good experience. I spent a couple a days in this hotel with my parents, so I got to see two different rooms. A single queen bed room and a two standar bed room. Both were in excellent condition: clean, spacious, luminous... If I had to point out a couple of negative points, the heating system in my room was a bit noisy (the unit must have been inside the room) and […] the shower door panel in my bathroom wasn't perfectly sealed, so a bit of water leaked out when showering. I would also have appreciated having a microwave in the room, although the coffe maker did the trick for us. The location is close to Santa Barbara Old Mission and not far away from downton. Overall good. Very clean and seemed recently painted on the exterior. Comfort OK, a minus for the outside door entrance. One problem, our room was adjacent to the AC compressor and it was noisy even when our AC was of. The Ice maker was also broken and was running continuously adding to the noise.

This was my third stay, and I'll go again. Everything is fine and convenient, decently priced. And thank God someone still has smoking rooms available!

I was somewhat apprehensive when I booked this hotel but it turned out much better than expected. The room was spacious and well-appointed. The front desk and restaurant staff were great. I just wish they had had a free buffet breakfast. Then it would have been perfect.

Great hotel and excellent staff

Great location and staff. Room was clean and comfortable. However, the air conditioning unit really needs to be re-done. Extremely loud and rattled the entire room at times. I would come again.

This hotel is across the street from the Cottage Hospital and the Sansum Clinic, very convenient for anyone from out of town that is having a procedure done or visiting a patient. The rooms are homey, comfortable, & quiet, very welcoming after a long day with doctors. I also like the little extras they provide in the rooms.

The hotel was very nice. The staff were way more than helpfull. Unfortunately we had to check out about 2 hours after we checked because our son had a medical emergency. The next time we are in Santa Barbara, this hotel will be the only one we stay at.

This hotel is in a great location to take a cab to local attractions in Santa Barbara. It is definitely an older hotel, the room decor was outdated but clean. We had a few ants in our bathroom while we were there. There was a mini-fridge in the room which was a nice perk to be able to have some cold drinks before we went out for the evening. Very roomy room and very quiet. Friendly staff and good breakfast restaurant on the grounds. Hard to find a parking space though. Convenient to all. Would stay there again.

Overall this is a very nice hotel in Santa Barbara and the appearance of the room was excellent. However, the downfall was significant--the beds are like sleeping on plywood. They were unbelievably uncomfortable and made the experience negative as it was nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Went to S.B. Cty Bowl for concert. We needed a motel/hotel close as we left a 16 y.o. in the room. Clean and comfortable. Shower not that great--old and slow draining.

Close to State St where everything is (SB's Downtown). Close to the wedding venue we were attending. Next to a hospital. The bird enclosure was a relaxing, enjoyable attraction by the restaraunt. Very near the warf and beach. No airplane nosie so it was far enough away!

The hotel is nice and comfortable. The staff are warm and friendly and remembered me from the previous time I stayed. I enjoy being able to park in front of my room and only being a few blocks away from State street. I would stay again, and probably will.

I only selected this hotel because everyone else i looked was booked. I normally do not like staying at motels. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I drove up. It's in a nice neighborhood and a nice decorated. The room was nicely decorated and they also had cookies, water and some fruit in the room. It reminded me of a nice European pension.

It was wonderful! We were there for a family wedding, and as the wedding was at 3:00 (check in time) they let us in an hour early. They were friendly and everything went extremely smoothly on their part! Thank you so much!

I stayed for three nights with my wife and two teenage children. We were very pleased with the rooms. The hotel is located 2.5 miles or so from the centre in a very quiet and attractive location. There is a convenient bus service just outside the hotel to the terminal in town; easy enough to walk to the town centre and beach from there.

Close to where I was working. Easy to get to places around town. Nice room and close parking to my room. Free wifi and I was happy with price of room. I would stay there again.

Staff was very helpful and delightful. My kids loved the pool and grass area. They loved the bird room and best of all the apples in the room :) also so close to the hospital and Dr. Offices. Excellent!

overall we enjoyed our 4 nite stay--the only problem was a completely clogged up bathroom sink that we awoke to on the second morning of our stay. luckily, it was repaired quickly and there was no repeat of this problem. the motel is in a quiet residental neighborhood and about a 5-10 minute drive to downtown, State St. the restaurant Las Aves is excellent […] for all meals of the day--- tasty Mexican cuisine and also standard american fare like sandwiches, burgers, seafood salad-- reallly good!! 더 보기

I was disappointed in the hotel. I thought it was way over priced for what you got. There was no bath tub, only a an older shower. There was no free beakfast like usual at a Best Western. Hotel was just basic but a long way from everything. It allowed us to bed down for the night and look for better accommodation which we did. It was pricey for what it offered and it's location.

tried to look for a decent hotel in downtown santa barbara with a good price during end of july. nothing was less two large bills. This one came to be the closest to our budget and closest to our destination. solid 3 stars. no more no less. make sure you ask for the units on the second floor to avoid occasional footstep noise.
