We were delighted to find the hotel was only a couple blocks from the train station so an easy walk to get there. The room was great. Very large and the bathroom huge. I recently stayed at rhe hotel. If I go back to Salzburg I would definitely stay there again. If arriving by train, the hotel is a 5 minute walk. They serve a great buffet breakfast, if tou want to fork out 12 Euros. However, if you are on a budget there is a mall across the street that has a supermarket and also a coffee shop. There is a gas station […] on the corner if you need snacks in the middle of the night:). The walking distance to all of the city's main attractions is about 15 minutes. It's a safe and pleasant walk. It is about 7 minutes from mirabelle palace. Laundromat is 5 min walk away near the train station. The room had old world charm and was immaculately clean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. It is not a five star hotel because of size and amenities. But I give it a five star rating and a GREAT value!! 더 보기

Even though the hotel is a good 15 min. walk from old town Salzburg, it was conveniantly located on access to Autobahn, Grocery, Bakery and ATM right across street and even though oldtown is a bit away the walk along the Salzach makes it a perfect photo opportunity. This is a great location from the train station. It is a nice, clean hotel. They offer free wi-fi which worked well from anywhere in the hotel. A definite plus for an American traveler.

I recommend this hotel because it was cheeper for my family.

unfortunately the smell of smoking was everywhere, even in our non smoking room....... we also expected a more modern room, the photos on the webpage are confusing.

Stayed in Achat Plaza for a short business trip. The city center is at walking distance, free internet access, nice staff and a not very big, but clean and well-furnished room.

The hotel is close to the railway station and within walking distance of the old city. The room we had was clean comfortable and modernised.

Great facilities including free sauna, free wireless internet, huge comfortable room. Sake parking behind hotel for 6 euros per night and free trams to city centre and all sights. Helpful staff and all receptionists spoke good English.

This hotel lived up to the reviews and rating on Hotel.com. The room was very comfortable, clean and the sauna area was really nice. Close to the Hauptbanhof and within easy walking distance of city sites. Breakfast was not included.

Great hotel, especially for the price. Big rooms, good service, charming overall theme, pillow "Mozart Kügeln" and free water upon check-in, etc. It is close to the main train station and not the city center, so it is convenient but the area is not very exciting. The city center can be reached by foot in 20-30 minutes, so it's not too far away.

The hotel was wonderful. The breakfast was about pricey but decent spread. The staff was amazing. They answered every single question that was posed to them. Nice walk to the downtown area. Wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone that was in the Salzburg area.

Good hotel in convenient location for the town with onsite parking. Very good buffet breakfasts and good food available in the evening at the restaurant run separately in the same building. Room was spacious and comfortable with decent size bathroom and good toiletries. Pleasant lounge and free internet access and international newspapers.

Very nice hotel. Our room was great. They also have saunas upstairs. Wifi is also available, although the signal was a bit weak. The location, although not bad, was not as close to the sights as we would have liked. You will have to take a bus or cab to get to the old city center. This hotel is a good value no frills average hotel. One great thing is that there windows are double windows. So there is absolutly no noise from the street below. It takes about a 15 minute walk to get to old town. Would stay there again.

Hotel was more than what we expected. Reataurant superb! Staff extremely helpful.

This hotel was about 2 blocks from the train station and bus stop. The reception area was warm and welcoming with candles and lovely decorations. They had complimentary bottled water and a tea kettle with tea bags in the room. The receptionists were very helpful with bus schedule and activities. We loved staying here.

This hotel was a good value. It had quite basic rooms, and a spa which was only partially operable. The TV did not work and the A/C was a joke (but in Europe A/C is hard to come by). Our room was on a very noisy street and since the A/C didn't do much the windows were kept open at night for air, which meant a lot of noise. The bed was very firm. Very comfortable room and very friendly staff.

The staff at the desk were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was discounted if you are a hotel guest and it was quite good. Our room was large. There was an ATM across the street and it was only a couple of blocks to the bus stop. Buses are frequent.

The location of the hotel is perfect -- within walking distance to all the major attractions & shopping. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. The only complaint we had was that we were issued vouchers for our breakfast each day of our stay and were told that it came with the price of the hotel. However, when we checked out we were charged $12 […] euros per person for each day. It would have been more cost effective for us to eat at the bakery down the street from the hotel and save that money for more souvenirs. 더 보기

The hotel offers free parking, very comfortable and large rooms, free internet, and even Mozart balls on your pillow. It's extremely clean, convenient (a few bucks will get you to the old square, Salzburg is very small), and the staff will let you keep your car and luggage there as long as you need after you check out while you tour the city.

We recently had a 3 night stay here and found it to be as beautiful as was the whole city and surrounds. The room was very comfortable except for the two single beds pushed together instead of a queen. The fitness room was amazing, only wish we had a chance to use it as we spent the whole time looking around beautiful Salzburg.

If you are looking for peace and quiet you can cross this one off your list. The street noise was horrendous so if, per chance, they have any rooms that are away from their busy streets request that one. The windows block out the noise but with no airconditioning you need them open so that didn't work either. Other than that...it was great: location […] was super, breakfast very good, large bathroom and decent size for room (European standards). The staff at Reception was selective in her treatment of guests. When we checked in, she did not bother to give us a map of the city or orientate us. We had to ask before she (with an impersonal and superficial smile) said anything about the local attractions. However, we witnessed her change in manner when she checked in European guests. The furniture in the room was archaic and spooky. It looked like a set from a horror movie. The room was crammed and the bathroom was small and not very clean. I use this hotel a lot, it's inexpensive and it isn't too bad. On the plus side, the rooms are clean and in good repair and the staff is very pleasant. The rooms are fairly small but the bathrooms are pretty nice. On the negative side, the beds are terrible, and even though I always ask for a double bed I usually get two little singles pushed together. […] The mattresses don't even touch because the bed frames are in the way, so you have this gap in the middle of the bed. The pillows are too small and the covers are two single size conforters instead of one big one. The tempreture in the rooms is terrible. there is no AC and the street noise makes opening the window really noisy. Overall, a nice little inexpensive hotel close to city center. The Achat Plaza Zum Hirschen Salzburg is conveniently located close to the train station though not really in the "tourist-y" part of town. It was clean and well-maintained though it is not, by American standards, a 4-star hotel. However it was still within walking distance of the sights we wanted to visit. The hotel is quite nice and very close to everything. The train station is just a couple of blocks and old Salzburg a short, and very nice walk down the river bank. Nice staff, clean rooms. The bed isn't too great, but nothing you can't live with for the price.

Our weekend stay in Salzburg was enhanced by the luxury we found in the spa facilities of the hotel. A peaceful relaxing stay after a week of skiing in the Alps. Conveniently located near the Keissel bus stop, we were able to use the Salzburg Card for public transit to all the sites in the Zentrum. About 2 min walk from central train station. 15-20 min to old town. busses leave for old town from central station all the time if you dont want to walk. Breakfast was good, but we were never told it was not included. We assumed breakfast was included, but was then charged at the end which was gutting!

This is a pretty basic hotel, but it's clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly. But the rooms are small and the hotel is very basic, making me wonder how it gets a four star rating. Given a superior room at a very reasonable rate. It had all the comforts of home - couch with TV/coffee area, dressing room, fabulous shower!! etc. Easy walking distance to tourist area but also only a few minutes to walk to the train/bus station.

This hotel is located a short 5-10 minute walk away from the center of old town and quite convenient. The rooms are well soundproofed, air conditioned and well appointed. The price for the room was very good and inexpensive and large parking lot.

We had a night train many hours after checkout, and the hotel staff stored our luggage for the day, then later let us stay in the "smokers room" well into the evening. They were very friendly and accommodating! The hotel has a wonderful breakfast buffet! They also operate an outdoor patio restaurant which had a great set-up for watching the World Cup […] matches. Overall, a clean and solid property with free computer and Internet for those who choose to leave the laptop at home. The rooms were very clean and in my single, the toilet room as well as shower room were both as large as the main room. It was very quiet and the breakfast (which was not included in my price) was 12 euros...a bit steep for what the […] buffet was...likely 8-10 is more what it is worth. You can do better out at pastery/cafes two blocks away. The neighborhood is 5 minutes from trainstation, rather boring and deserted but offers a few grocery/snack options nearby as well as resturants that locals would eat at which provides an authentic option. The best part of the hotel is the Spa area...which was frequently not staffed but none the less offered 4 different sauna/steamroom areas and a sun deck and fitness center. quirkiest part of the property was the 24-hour in house TV channel featuring a never ending loop of the movie The Sound of Music...for obvious local reasons. The staff was fine but nothing special and certainly didnt go out of their way to help. Biggest drawback was that this is a real solid 15-20 minute walk from the old city which is where most of the "stuff" is....you can walk it, great exercise and beautiful along the river...but if you want something closer youll pay much more and for train travelers this spot works well. Overall, this hotel is a reco for train travelers who want the cardio, eat their breakfast out, and like clean rooms and a steam at the end of a day. 더 보기

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights in July, and would highly recommend it. I don't think we got an upgrade but we booked a 'standard' room and it was really spacious. The staff (all spoke english) were nice and there was a computer room where you could use the internet for free. The staff were also happy to book any tours that we wanted to […] do, and all tours included a pickup at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. 더 보기
