great location, really nice people, good price...would stay again

The pool was noisy all day and I didn't like the music. This resort seems to be geared toward families and so young travelers like myself feel unserved. One major inconvenience was during the last 2 nights of our stay when NONE of the ice machines in the hotel worked and the front desk/room service said there was no way to get ice to me in the room. […] The front desk people also seemed content with the bare minimum of service; not a great experience to cap off an otherwise wonderful Costa Rican vacation 더 보기

The hotel needs some work. Pool needs to be cleaned better. One day it looked like parts of a diaper floating in it and I spoke to life guard and he didn't care. there is a small bridge over part of the pool,it needs to be cleaned and painted. One evening the lights went out. Not the hotels fault but as it got dark very very few of their emergency lighting […] worked. In the day light you could see it was in place. Stair wells were pitch black, walkways dark, only 2 at the bar area worked. People walked around useing their cell phones like flashlights. forget the beach if that is what you are going there for. Yuck. The good part it is a very short walk into town, the bar and the people working there were very nice. Great view of the the sunset. Great Hotel for the price. Good service. They go the extra mile. Will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was better than the guidebook rating. I didn't find either old or threadbare. Perhaps it had been freshened up. The staff were friendly and its location directly across from the bus drop off to and from San Jose was very convenient. Very family oriented and popular with Costa Rican families.

The tour desk was very helpful in setting up surf lessons. Great happy hour, great breakfast. Nice beach front.

We stayed at the BW Jaco Beach location over the busy Christmas season, but the staff made sure we felt like our every need was met. It has a great location just outside of town and right on the beach. We could walk into town with ease and when we were tired from shopping we caught a cab for just $2.00 a ride not a person! On New Year's Eve they had […] a fabulous party with fireworks and dancing. The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious with fresh fruit and a combination of American and Costa Rican favorites. I was quite surprised how good the buffet was and that it is included in your room price. They had everything you could ask for like pancakes, cereal, eggs and ham. The only problem we experienced during our stay was sketchy WI-FI service, sometimes it worked sometimes it did not, but you are on vacation! We were also pleasantly surprised that they gave us free long distance calling to the United States. All in all a great vacation experience!!! 더 보기

Best Western Jaco Beach has average, aged rooms (think 70's), resort-type activities scheduled daily, a pool that fills quickly with families and closes early at 7:00 p.m., and a beach that is close and convenient and clean. Not a bad place to stay if you like a bit of an international family crowd. As most reviews have stated, the hotel is a little dated, but extremely clean. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget. Breakfast comes with the room- it usually consisted of black beans and rice, eggs, cereals, porridge or oatmeal, ffresh fruit, coffee, juices and potatoes. It is not bad, and it is not great. Everything smelled of mold and mildew. Outdated everything.No WiFi. Lock on the front door broke every day. Safe in room didn't have a lock. Food was sad. Staff tries to compensate,but overall not clean. Short walk into town.

I live an hour and 20 min from the beach and go 3 times a month. I usually stay at the Best Western when I'm in Jaco. The pool area is very nice. You can get up at sun up and enjoy the buffet breakfast, included, walk on a walkway directly to the beach, return, shower off the sand at the beaches end and the walkways beginning. Return to the pool area […] and enjoy the pool. The set up is unbeatable. The rooms are nice, not 5star but it does not cost nearly what the 5star hotels cost. Great secure parking included. I read some good and bad reviews for almost all the hotels in Jaco, so I didn't really know where to stay. So I stuck to a well known chain. It was off-season, so they could handle the small demand(August), but I would say for the very fair price, everything was a as good as I hoped. I recommend it.

I don't really understand some of the reviews which talk this hotel down. It has perfectly adequate and very clean rooms, friendly staff, a nice bar where you can also eat by the beach and a good position on the outskirts of Jaco (and therefore away from traffic and noise). I would consider it a good place to base oneself and visit the surrounding area, […] rather than as a resort in itself, as the beach and the town are fairly basic in what they have to offer. 더 보기

Hotel was nice, pool was good, beach was ok. One staff member was rude, the rest were very nice and helpful. For the price and location it's a good hotel.

We stayed at the Jaco Best Western end of June on our way from Monteverde towards Quepos/Manual Antonio National park. At this time of the year, it may rain quite a bit, and so it did rain on the day we arrived, starting at 2 pm. Unfortunately, the Best Western does not have a nice common area to hang out during rain - only the bar/pool area with loud […] music, an area with a loud TV set, an area with broken pool billiard and broken foosball tables, but not a common area to read a book or play some board games during rain. For example, they could open the breakfast restaurant area during rain, but they don't do that. The room itself was tiny for four people, but clean (ok). We had one queen and one single bed, so they put a fourth roll-in bed into the room (we had booked for four people, though). The first day, our A/C was loud and very cold (you cannot control it yourself), the second day, the A/C was completely off. Breakfast was fine with four options to choose from, no buffet. The receptionists barely spoke English (unfortunately, we did not speak Spanish), and were not helpful at all for advising on e.g. tours, times, events in the Jaco area. They appeared simply not interested in helping or advising, unlike the other hotels that we stayed in during our vacation in Costa Rica (mostly privately owned hotels). 더 보기

This is an older hotel in a beach town. Beach access is good but he brown sand beach was a little rocky with pebbles everywhere. One of the room keys did not work. The morning breakfast buffet was OK. We only stayed one night on our way to the cloud forest.

The Best Western was in a wonderful location. Right on the beach. Great open air spaces and beautiful landscaping. For an older hotel it was maintained well. Rooms were dated but had all necessary amenities; AC/free wi-fi/English TV.

Nice pool. Very nice food at a very reasonable prices. Nice beach. Adult beverages didn't taste so good though at the bar. Expensive and seemed like they were made with cheap liquor. Overall, it was good. The food was really good. Stayed two nights. Wish I would have eaten there both nights. Both my spouse and I got heartburn from the Mexican place […] across the street. 더 보기

I reserved and pre-paid 2 rooms for 3 nights. The hotel was so bad that moved into another hotel after 1 night. Picture a 1950's motel with slated glass windows, blue bathroom fixtures, musty smell, hard beds and harder pillows. There was nothing comfortable or nice about the place. I would not recommend the Best Western Jaco Beach to anyone!!!

Se entiende que si está ocupado, puede saludar y decir por cortesía: "un momentito ya lo atiendo", pero lejos de hacerlo, me quedé de pie en el mostrador sola esperando que me atendieran despues de 10 minutos. Luego, tenía reservado dos noches y me dieron la estadia por una noche. Cuando no me limpiaron la habitación […] fui a preguntar por qué y era porque aparentemente tenia fecha de salida ese día. direct aan het strand gelegen. Ruim opgezet hotel(gedateerd - bijv kleur sanitair), dat voor een paar dagen strand/zon en als uitvalbasis heel geschikt is. Ontbijtbuffet gemiddeld en niets mis mee. Balipersoneel wat afstandelijk. Schoonmaak prima.

Morgenessen eher dürftig: Kein The, keine Ananas An der Strandbar keine Milch-Shake. Etwa 5 Min. zu Fuss zum Zentrum von Jaco, wo es viele Restaurants gibt

Este hotel tiene facil acceso a la playa, en el centro de Jacó y cerca de la capital, se los recomiendo para los que desean estar en la playa con los beneficios y comodidades de la ciudad.

Cuidado con el ckeck in porque si te apartas de la recepcion dejan pasar a otros

todo estuvo bien pero a la hora de ingresar hubo un atraso casi de dos horas que no se reponen al final. el problema fue de falta de personal para limpiar las habitaciones ya que estaban desocupadas pero sin limpiar

Muchisima gente para el desayuno, no pudimos desayunar el primer día y los otros dos días fue el mismo menú. La piscina de los niños estaba con el agua turbia y una nata grasosa y blanquecina flotando.

El hotel esta ubicado en una buena zona en frente de la playa y todas sus facilidades muy cerca.

la estadía hubiera sido más agradable si la música de la piscina durante el día y del bar por la noche no hubiera sido tan estridente ...

En retrait de la rue principale mais très bien pour la tranquilité. A quelques minutes de marche des restaurants et magasins. Belle piscine. Accès internet. Je recommande fortement!

Está muy bien ubicado, ya que tienes acceso directo a una playa limpia, a la vez que está rodeado de una variedad de comercios enfocados a satisfacer todas tus necesidades, está muy cerca de la capital, sus vías de accesose encuentran en óptimas condiciones. Su infraestructura es muy buena y bonita, con hermosos jardines. Tienes todo lo que necesitas […] para pasarla bien a muy buen precio, y la atención es inmejorable. 더 보기

Estar en éste hotel es como descansar sobre una gran nube, donde todo lo que nos rodea está bien y hay una completa relajación y descanso. Mis ratos en la habitación, con el bello paisaje del mar, hicieron de mis vacaciones momentos inolvidables , al igual que a mi esposo y mis hijos disfrutaron de todas las instalaciones del hotel.

un agradable fin de semana en Jaco, lo recomiendo sin restricciones.
