This is a below average 'hotel'. The vanity light did not work, we found dirty underwear under the TV stand and the over all quality was poor. The hotel did have a pool, but we didnt use it because of the two drunk guys and two loud mouth females... The staff were nice, however I will pay more next time and upgrade my hotel.

Mr. Patel is an excellent hotelier with excellent communication skills. The facility is centrally located to all interesting area in Santa Cruz . I truly enjoyed visit!

The stay was good, the price was right, the grounds of the hotel were very nice. The bed was a little too firm & lumpy but it was nice to sleep in a kingsize. The only complaint I have is there were repairs going on in the room next door to us. Hammering up tile from the bathroom floor...this went on until 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday eve. I feel we should've […] been offered another room or be comped another. We were in town on a business conference and had a very long day so we were ready to retire by 8 p.m. other than that our stay was ok and we will probably return. 더 보기

The room was clean, the hotel was conveinently located to downtown and close to UCSC. It was a good value for the money.

It was really convient access to the beaches, freeway, and the downtown area. Enjoyed our stay.

hotel room in poor condition, staff not very friendly and room in poor condition, the hotel had very minimal occupancy and still i was not given a decent room, will most likely not stay here again. the only plus was the television programing with free HBO.

It was fine, room smelled a little at first. A little to much furniture crammed into my room. Would stay again.

This hotel was not up to par with Ramada standards as far as I am concerned. Upon our arrival, we were sent to an unclean room with a broken dresser from the 70's, a broken shower rod, dated furnishings, and a bad smell. The room was in a corner of the hotel and basement-like. The ice bucket and tray looked as if it had never been cleaned. I was disgusted, […] and went to the office and said the room was unacceptable, and asked to see another room. The second room which was much better, more updated, and cleaner. Being that we booked in advance and the room was non-refundable, we took the second room. If it had been refundable, I would have left immediately. It was my first visit to Santa Cruz and enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Limited. It was in a very convenient location. The room was clean, neat, and comfortable. I would stay there again if visiting Santa Cruz again.

Ive stayed in alot of dives but this one takes the cake. In the coffee carafe there were beard stubble hairs. All of the furnature looks like it was salvaged from the dump. Loud construction workers and shady people hanging around. The Indian guy wasnt even there, i had to wait for like 5 minutes, then he pulled up in a car like he had been grocery […] shopping. 더 보기

The hotel was great for the price. The room was clean, and if you don't mind walking, which I don't, downtown is about a 15 minute walk right up the street. Would recommend it to other people.

This is a pit. It is close to town and cheap---that is all that can be said. Lots of deferred maintenance, ants crawling everyplace, poor almost useless internet.

The staff was friendly and service was good. My room was clean and comfortable and the location convenient for my stay in Santa Cruz. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price.

I was surprised at the lack of service and cleanliness of this hotel. Ramada Inn's are normally a lot better. While there was nothing particularly unclean about the room, it was clearly in need of renovations. The staff (seemed to be run by a single family) was friendly, but not always available. The breakfast was plain which I didn't particularly mind, […] but once the milk, cereal or coffee ran out, that was it -- there didn't seem to be anybody checking on the status of the breakfast items. The location of this hotel is not very close to anything, either. It's good enough if you have a car, but it is some distance from both downtown and the beachfront, so it is not ideal for your average business or leisure traveler. 더 보기

Comfortable, quiet, decent hotel and price was right. It There was a spider but that is normal in Santa Cruz from what I recall. Still wish it wasnt in there. Towels seem to be so mass washed that they didnt smell fresh but seemed clean.

They opened door without knocking. Knocked on our door 15 minutes before checkout to make sure we were leaving. Very rude people. Ghetto style of hospitality.

The only thing, that could be better, was the temperature was too warm in the low setting.

One good thing about this hotel was the front desk lady was nice but that was it. My husband and I took our children and left after one night of our three night stay. First thing I did was take the filthy stained bedspreads off and tossed them in the corner. Carpet didn't look vacumed. Bathroom floor had hair in it..shower didn't drain properly. Washcloth […] had makeup on it. Put a towel down on chair in room before sitting. If I was a young single person it would do. Typical of price point for that area. 더 보기

The hotel was too noisy and the breakfast was not very good, no eggs or bagels and cold coffee

I would never stay there again nor recommend it to any one I like! I was shocked by the poor condition of the hotel.

The room itself was not bad and I'm sure the hotel is well-kept during peak seasons, however, I would never stay here again. It did not feel safe.

The hotel was just right for our 1 night stay over needs. They were able to allow us to check in several hours early and worked with us to provide a great stay. I would stay here again as it was clean enough and nice enough to do so.

Not the nicest hotel, but it was cheap. Not at all bad for what we paid... I actually was expecting a lot worse. I'd come again if I was on a budget.

Unfortunately, our "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke. We also noticed a "stain" on the blanket and had to remove that from our bed. We notified the front desk and were told they will make a note of it... no offer to replace the blanket or find us a different room, but it was noted in the system! The room smelled like an ashtray. Would not stay here again.

Room (located on 1st floor) was clean and roomy, though it smelled moldy. Even after running the AC for several hours the moldy smell was still present. At night, the foot traffic in the room above was very loud and clear. I don't think they were trying to wake me up on purpose. While the room was adequate and clean, the people on the front desk were aloof and unresponsive. I witnessed a patron ring the bell more than once without any response. He finally dropped the key in the box and left. I could not connect to the internet for the first 2 days, and finally at the end of the 2nd day a man answered the phone and had the tech […] support guy call me and it was straightened out and I used it without incident for the rest of my stay - 1/2 day. Also, the breakfast was unattended, poorly supplied. and seemed to be there to fulfill bare requirements. Personnel retraining seems to be in order in this Ramada. 더 보기

We picked the hotel because of price but were happy to see it located across the street from a great little dive bar. A plus for us on vacation!

* Bad attitude from front desk person. * TV old and not working properly.

Easy access and well located near beach. Just be sure you have everything you need before the manager leaves for the night. We couldn't get an extra blanket or towels after 10 PM. Room could have been cleaner, hair in bathroom from previous occupants.Overall good price for a vacancy on a busy weekend when making last minute reservations.

For the same price, we could have gotten a hotel closer to the beach with the same amenities. Not bad but could have gotten better.
