Capri Laguna is an older hotel situated right on the sandy beaches of Laguna Beach. The service was great and our room was spectacular. For the price you could not find anything that would compare. The views where amazing. We can not wait to go back. If you go with the understanding the hotel is over 30 years old and not a Hilton you will not be dissapointed. […] Great time. 더 보기

What a great hotel! Right on the beach! Also the rooms are so big and comfortable!'

I booked a double-Queen room for a Saturday night to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday . I was very pleased with the hotel (it is an older one but in pretty good condition), the staff were friendly and it being right on the beach was fantastic! We had a great couple of days and would definately book there again!

Love listening to the waves at night. A very cozy place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This is a rustic hotel. The best feature is location. It is right on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. There is a frig and microwave in room. Free shuttle is available for further travel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seem to be working on the rooms but still need some upkeep. The continental breakfast […] was awful. Milk and orange juice was spoiled. They would be better off not having one. Despite that, we did enjoy our stay and would stay at this hotel again. 더 보기

Great location but a super shabby interior. Our room looked nothing like the pics I saw on the site but it was just a place to crash after attending a friend's wedding so it fit the bill...

I'm recommending this hotel because of the beauty of the grounds, the landscaping, the friendly staff, and the beach. If you don't mind paying the higher prices, there are rooms there that are very attractive right over the sand. I was on a tight budget, so I hoped the standard room would be fine because I wouldn't be in it much. This was not the case […] because the standard room I was in had thin walls and I heard a lot of doors slamming and people talking. The shower curtain was moldy but the rest of the room was clean and had nice granite floors and counters. The toilet leaked and looked like it had for a long time because of the stain around it on the floor. I am sorry I booked this room and was told there were no others when I asked to change rooms. We had a wonderful stay at the Capri. The location is excellent and the service was very good. The view is spectacular, easy access to downtown transportation, lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for the beach, continental breakfast, clean rooms and beautiful setting. We will be staying there on our next visit to Laguna.

Room smelled musty, and carpet needed cleaning--badly needed cleaning!!! But staff was very friendly and accomodating. And the location right on the beach is unbeatable for the price compared to nearby hotels. And they're not stingy with the towels...

Nice hotel. Our room overlooked the pool, so was right by the front of the property. We were crazy impressed with how big the property is. The walk to the beach takes you passed all of the terraced rooms and patios. I might be inclined to pay more for an ocean view next time. Only criticism of the room is that the tub faucet was a bit of a challenge […] to use. I could not get the water warm enough and then it took forever to line up the knobs to turn the water off. I went to the front desk to get quarters so I could use their laundry room. But, was told they don't give out quarters. Why? It's their machine I wanted to feed. Or, why not install a dollar changer in the laundry room? Who stocks up on quarters on vacation? I would stay here again. 더 보기

I wasn't expecting a 5-star room but the "upgraded" ocean view room we stayed in over the 4th of July was so scary that I refused to take off my shoes inside of it and had to drink myself to sleep--it was that gross! Maybe we didn't get a room that had been upgraded, because our room looked nothing like the website pictures. The hotel is location great […] but such a dump. With some actual money put into repairs and remodeling this spot could be actually worth the money. Wouldn't ever stay there again, thank god it was only for one night! 더 보기

Great view ! We had a ocean room with a deck and you can't get any better than that. The knob fell off the tub abd the water pressure was bad. The room are a bit dated but that is to be expected for a beach hotel. It has a neat layout and parking was free. We walked a block up to a great restaurant with great food and service. The nicest thing I can say: the bathroom was clean. Do not stay there if you want comfort or attentiveness from the staff, or if you want a relaxing experience! Trust me!

I absolutely love staying at the Capri. We have been coming here for 15 years and it's one of our favorites. Next door to Surf and Sand but half the price (and you can still walk next door and have dinner, have drinks, lunch, etc.). The beach below the Capri is extremely private and great for a jog or stroll. The rooms are small, but almost all have […] a kitchenette or at least microwave and refrigerator. It's definitely worth the extra few dollars getting a room on the beach. The room includes continental breakfast (with hard boilded eggs) and coffee/tea. There is also an awesome coffee shop across the street that is open from 6AM to 11PM every day. Best value on the beach in Laguna by far!!! 더 보기

We stayed in an upstairs suite and though the room was clean we had 3 major problems. The bathroom sink had no water pressure and the stream of water was barely enough to rinse your hands. We decided to use the sink in the kitchen which had great water pressure, but only it only had hot water. The kitchen sink would back up and when we used the disposal, […] the contents of the disposal would slowly come up after the sink cleared. The last problem we had was that the deadbolt did not work. Other than that, our room had a great view, the location was great and the staff was very nice. 더 보기

My only complaint was my stay was WAY too short! I was met by Carlos who was able to allow me to check in earlier than the 3:00PM regular time frame. I was getting ready for a wedding and was a little pushed for time. My room was great with a fabulous view of the ocean and a great deck to relax on. low end quality for the cost of the room. The room was clean is the nicest thing I can say.

This is not a 5 star hotel, and shouldn't be expected as such. This is a good budget hotel, though and has some amazing on-the-beach views and is in easy walking distance to shopping, eating, and art galleries. The hotel is going through some great upgrades, and I'm looking forward to seeing it next year when the new pool is in (should be done by 2/11/2011). […] There's already new furniture and bedding since last year. Its definitely worth the extra cost to have an ocean view, though. If you can afford it, get the rooms on the top floor - 501 or 502 to get a great view, large balcony, and a little bit larger room. 더 보기
