Rosedon Hotel - 해밀턴

This is a WONDERFUL hotel. The best service I've ever had the pleasure to experience.

Being in the business myself, this small hotel met every expectation and more. Every effort has been made to ensure the best experience...the room was spacious, clean and contained every possible amenity; the staff were without exception courteous, genuinely friendly and helpful; the breaksfasts and afternoon teas were delicious and generous; the grounds […] were well-maintained and inviting. The staff are uniformly warm and engaging. Even after we had checked out, they helped with a problem with a high level of professionalism as well as friendly attention to our needs. The hotel serves full breakfasts on trays that please the eye as well as the palate. Afternoon teas are not only charming but also relaxed ways to meet other guests. My friend and I recently stayed 4 days at the Rosedon. It was my 3rd visit to the island and her first. I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel and I was extremely pleased. Excellent personal service and comfortable accomodations. We stayed in a guest room above pool level. The room was well appointed, ample storage and excellent t.v. reception. […] The carpet could of used replacing, but other than that the room was fine. We used room service one night - excellent soup of the day and sandwich - just like you would make at home. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast - we chose to have it served on the main house terrace. Again like home made. Meals are preset, one set choice, but the staff seemed to be flexible. Front desk reception staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. If you like big hotels, modern rooms and on site restaurants, gift shops etc. this is not the place for you. I found this hotel a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of a big hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at the Rosedon and I will rebook without hesitation for my next visit to this beautiful island. My only negative comment and this is not against the hotel. I like to walk and the Rosedon is on the side of the road where there is no sidewalk. We were off season so there was little traffic, but it was a little dicey to cross to the other side to get to the sidewalk. The Rosedon has two driveways that lead to the hotel, one in particular is at a bend of the the road creating a blindspot when you want to cross. The Rosedon provides personalised service in a small well located Hotel. In all respects it provided what I expected from the description on the net i.e. friendly efficient service in a quiet haven about 5 minutes walk from the town centre and restaurants. What more can you say?

We had a wonderful time at the Rosedon. We we booked in for only three nights, but then Irene struck and we stayed two extra days. Everyone one at the hotel was so kind and helpful, not only making sure we were able to keep our room but giving us a special hurricane rate. We will be back often.

The Rosedon is a well kept historic hotel that had a great location, good service and fun complimentary amenities (breakfast, tea, the Tuesday swizzle party). The grounds are also very well kept. And it is convenient walking distance to downtown Hamilton. The only negatives about the hotel are that because it is old some parts of it feel dated (old […] drapes and carpet) and our room had a musty smell. We had a lovely, short stay at Rosedon. The staff was wonderful and could not have been more eager to please. The hotel is super convenient to downtown Hamilton but you cannot tell when you are relaxing by the pool or enjoying your breakfast on your patio. It is so quiet and serene in the courtyard. Great place for vacation or business travelers. A […] huge plus is the very good breakfasts served wherever you like on the property. They have something different everyday but you can make a request for something different as well. For instance, I try to avoid all the carbs of waffles and they made me scrambled eggs instead. Also note that although they are not on the beach, the offer free taxi service to Elbow Beach which is very nice. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented on the beach and there is a great restaurant (Mickey's at Elbow Beach resort) to eat while soaking up the beautiful sea and sun. The rooms are less luxurious than 5 star but very comfortable and clean. We slept well. We also enjoyed mingling with the other guests at tea in the evenings (which included sandwiches or hearty breads). The rum swizzle party on Tuesday is a lovely before dinner stop as well. 더 보기

What a wonderful place! Hearkens back to a gentler, less complicated time. Our breakfast and an afternoon tea were included in our rate. The breakfast varied each day and was either some form of eggs, french toast or pancakes and always included a breakfast meat, juice, coffee or tea, and some combination of biscuits muffins or toast with butter or […] jam. It was served between 7 to I believe 10. All you did was call the breakfast extension and tell them where you wanted to eat it. Bermuda short and knee sock clad male staff members then promptly delivered it to either your room, your porch, poolside or to the veranda of the beautiful original house. Now if you happened to be around at 4:00, tea was served in the entry way. It was made in a large server but you had your pick of china cups and saucers and it tasted just like authentic English Red Rose tea. On a very large serving tray directly across from the tea set up were cake slices, cookies and finger sandwiches. Most people chose to take their tea on the veranda or the front sitting room. So if you wanted there was plenty of opportunity for socializing with other guests. The pool area was also a good area for socializing and there seemed to be no restrictions on when you could access it. The semi tropical grounds surrounding the pool were quite lovely and well tended. They even had some plaques with plant and species names on some of the flora. You really felt like a special guest at an English country house. We had just come from a teeny tiny stark and ugly ultra- modern hotel room in New York's Times Square so we were delighted at the spaciousness and beautiful classical furnishings of the Rosedon's rooms. It is a first class hotel with super employees who are friendly and go out of their way for you. I would stay there again in a heart beat! 더 보기

We loved everything about the Rosedon Hotel...the friendly and helpful staff, a delicious breakfast on the patio, lovely rooms, a refreshing pool and tea and sandwiches at 4:00! The staff was extremely accommodating to my dietary needs and helpful with directions regarding travel to different spots on the island. Highly recommended!

Nicely located near front street establishments, and ferry. Pool area is quaint, tropical and serene. Honor bar was handy and nicely set up. Room could have used black-out draperies. No walkways/sidewalks to street took some getting used to. Very romantic, and great place to relax. The hotel is great. Rooms give the feeling of being in a house not a hotel. They provide breakfast on the front porch of the hotel, outside your room or in your room every morning. Swizzle party one of the evenings with finger food. Staff was very friendly, helpful, etc.... If I ever make it back to Bermuda, this is where I'll be staying.
