The room was sizable and nice. The hotel and amenities were fine. I felt manipulated and condescended to by the valet parking attendant. The front desk people, though pleasant, seemed insincere and plastic. But the room was nice except for a painfully soft mattress that made us fall to the middle if we did not toss and turn on the very edges!

Very pleasant stay. We loved the view from our room and the location of the hotel. The concierge was helpful. He suggested a lovely walk that we would not have know about. The only problem was our toilet overflowed and was not fixed immediately. It was, however, repaired by the time we came back from out next excursion.

It was clean, comfortable, conveniently located and a good value for the money. Treadmills on first floor, complimentary coffee in lobby at times. Parking available on site and nearby...valet service. Really spacious room. We were three guys and there was a sofa bed in our room. Perfect in most every way!

Great location, close to all the restaurants, bars, shops! Great place to be. My only complaint is the mattress was way to hard.

I enjoyed the hotel and it has a great central location - in my opinion much better than the other hotels we were considering. We would likely stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the view on the seaside was pleasant and romantic. Our only complaint is that there was a strange smell in our room - somewhat malodorous. A scented candle […] we bought took care of it but preferably it wouldn't have been there in the first place. I'm sure this was probably something unusual and it wasn't severe enough to change rooms (though again, it was enough for us to get a candle). I always have good experiences at Hilton Garden Inns and this fits in with the general trend. 더 보기

The hotel is quite nice and very close to shops, restaurants, breweries, etc. And 12:00 checkout time was great! Disappointed with the following: Jacuzzi had no whirlpool action, no ventilation in the room. It was very stuffy. And no ventilation in the bathroom was problematic. Service was very good - valet parking and restaurant staff.

Great location! Close walk to shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. Right across the street from the ferry. Young, pleasant staff were helpful - especially the valet gentlemen - they were extremely helpful and nice. Overall, a great experience - we'd definitely stay here again!

room was very clean and in good condition, helpful staff, valet parking is a must and valets are good.

Compared to simar hotels within a 3 or 4 block area, this place was the most expensive. Not sure it was worth the extra money. Rooms were fine, service was fine, lounge was fine. The dining room was a little dated, and the breakfast was EXPENSIVE for cafeteria quality food.

The room was quite big which was very nice but there was a electircal box in the room that was loud and it kept me awake !!! Also you could here what was going on in the others rooms next to us pepole we loud and up all night and taking showers at weird time of the night. The second night we could here a dog barking and that kept me a wake as well. […] but the room was nice!!! 더 보기

The hotel was excellent. Great staff, friendly and very accomodating. Only flaws I could mention are the location of our room. We were strategically placed by the elevator.....dinging all night. We also had the pleasure of listening to the ice machine all night. We will stay with this establishment again in the future. Everyone who worked there was super helpful and friendly. They have a shuttle service to and from the airport. The location is right smack in the middle of town, across from the peirs. The hotel staff were all amazing and friendly. It was perfect for celebrating my birthday. It was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel. It was perfect for shopping in the Old Port and being able to enjoy some of the night life entertainment. Close to all of my favorite shops and restaurants.

We came to town after some snow and the hotel was located right near some great places for dinner, drinks and comedy. We spent the whole night hopping around in less than a block. Room was great, comfortable, spacious. We will stay there on our next visit to Portland.

Excellent location, rooms were spacious and modern, staff were very friendly. I did not eat at the hotel given the abundance of amazing restaurants withing a 2 min walk. Only slight knock would be the pool is more of a kiddy pool than a real pool.

Stayed here with another couple for 2 nights. Great location for walking around Old Port and up into downtown area. Friendly staff, clean comfortable, spacious king size room. For an unexpected perk we got a free hot breakfast one morning. Some road noise at night as it's on a central corner but hotel itself was very quiet. $15 per night for valet  […] parking. 더 보기

Perfect spot for weekenders. Waterfront views of a busy harbor, within walking distance of all of the fabulous dining, museum and local attractions, and just wonderful to boot! The Hilton Garden Inn is conveniently located to downtown, easy walking distance even in winter. Room was 2 queen, plenty of room for 3 adults...and an awesome view of the bay from the 6th floor. Couple of surprises: no complimentary breakfast and limited menu for lunch/dinner. Also, daily parking fee ($15) tacked on to valet parking tips...didn't see […] that in the information when we booked the room. 더 보기

This was our second stay..we like the friendliness and location.

I would recommend a stay here. We were here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it.

Very convenient to the Old Port area, friendly and caring service, breakfast option is a plus.

Rooms are large and comfortable. Location is best in Portland in the heart of shopping and restaurants. Parking is $15.00 per night but not bad compared to Boston at $40.00 per night.

Just stayed over Thanksgiving. This is a great hotel - nice decor, big rooms, located in the Old Port with a half dozen excellent restaurants on the same street. I look forward to staying again. Note: Don't get it confused with the Hilton Garden Inn at the airport!

Although this is primarily a business hotel, we stayed there with family (including a 4 year old) and found it to be a perfect place to stay. All the amenities you could ask for, a helpful staff, and spacious rooms. We were able to walk everywhere in Portland easily, and the bakery next door was a perfect place to grab a bite in the mornings.

Great location! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location to all downtown restaurants, pubs, shopping, etc. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again!

This hotel stay was awesome! After a ROUGH RIDE TO ARRRIVE, KEVIN WAS a pleasant surprise. Much more than just a number. After a mix up with the room booking Kevin upgraded us and made our stay memorable.

Very helpful staff that assisted us in retrieving property left in a taxicab. Many thanks to them! Convenient location, good value.

This hotel was great. Perfectly located in the old port, walking distance to everything. Everyone was so friendly and even let me check in very early (9am). Very pleased with my visit.

Great location to a million restaurants and shops. Plenty of nightlife but ends at 1am ;(. hotel was very nice, excellent and accomodating staff. Clean! and i am a stickler for cleanliness! They allowed us to have a late checkout. shuttles to and from airport very fast & courteous. thanks again.

Typical Hilton quality - comfortable rooms, reasonable amount of sitting room area. The hotel is right across from the Casco Ferry terminal and obviously the waterfront. Easy walk to most every where. The was some construction / renovation going on in the lobby when we stayed. The hotel is easy to find, easy to navigate and it was close to everything in the historic port district. There is a bakery right next door which is fabulous. The staff was fantastic down to the car valet (who was the best we have encountered in all of our travels, no kidding). There were a large number of restaurants around, all within walking distance. […] There were also numerous boutiques, a theatre, even a Starbucks, within a few blocks and we felt safe. Most importantly, we were on a Lighthouse tour during our stay in Maine and there were 5 (five) picturesque lighthouses were within 10 miles of the hotel. 더 보기
