수퍼 에이트 시카고 (Super 8 Chicago) - 시카고

장점: 차로 다운타운까지 20분 정도 걸림 전자레인지, 다리미, 무료인터넷 등 부대시설은 괜찮음. 방도 꽤 넓음. 호숫가가 가깝고 지하철역도 꽤 가까움. 무료주차공간도 넉넉함 단점: 조식 따지는 분한테는 부족할 듯. 빵종류(토스터기), 콘푸레이크(3종), 우유, 쥬스, 커피가 있으나 과일이나 조리음식은 전혀 없고, 식당에 테이블2개뿐이다. 물론 방에 가지고 올라가서 먹어도 됨. 차를 렌트하여 묵는다면 꽤 가격대비 성능이 좋은 곳 같다. 물론 시카고의 주차비가 비싸서...

시설은 썩 좋지 않으나, 저렴한 가격에 무료 주차, 무료 인터넷에 전자레인지 등이 구비되어서 렌터카가 있다면 시카고여행에 그리 나쁘지 않은 듯하다. 오헤어에서 30분 이내이고, 다운타운도 30분 이내에 갈 수 있다. 지하철역에 걸어가서 한 번에 도심에 갈 수도 있다. 호숫가라서 미시간호 구경도 괜찮은 듯. 아침도 기대만 하지 않는다면 콘푸레이크, 토스트뿐이지만 괜찮은 듯 하다.

Hotel was wonderful. Staff was very accommodating and even helped us to figure the best way to our concert (cab vs. train). We were blocks from the El and it dropped us right at the Aragon. Best of all, we didn't have to pay to park! Room was very clean, hotel building is older, but has character, not a run of the mill Super 8. Didn't see many options […] for food nearby. Price was best around. Would stay there again for any N. Chicago (maybe even downtown) activities. 더 보기

An older building but clean. Good service and close to train. Adequate parking. Along busy road but nice neighborhood. Only negative is thought breakfast could have been served longer.

I loved my stay at this hotel! Since I do not know the Chicago area well (just that there are BAD areas), I just picked an area and hoped for the best. I was also weary because the Super 8 was all I could find in my price range. My experience with the Super 8 chain has been mixed. I usually consider them to be a step above a Motel 6. HOWEVER! Awesome […] room. Awesome staff. The hotel is very small. 4 floors and only about 13 rooms on each. So get the rooms while they last. The parking under the building made me feel very secure about the $8k worth of computer and camera equipment I was traveling with. The room I picked had a secret that I didn't know about until I walked in the door. There was a hot tub right there in my room. Now, I was hoping for extra space and a better desk to setup my computer workstation. Regardless I cannot complain because that space was taken by the jet tub. I enjoyed two great evenings in that tub. Very nice after a day of meetings and work. The location was pretty great too! I was a visible distance away from Lake Michigan. I would say it was pretty much a block east of the hotel. I walked there in less than 2 minutes. Plus, if you give yourself an extra minute or 2 of walking time, you will find a simple but nice park and beach to the right of the hotel (across the street). The breakfast was what you would expect from a small hotel. So I am not docking any points from them for that. The cozy eating area was always clean and the small selection of food was fresh and got my day going just the same as a giant buffet at a bigger hotel. One peeve I have about almost any hotel I go to these days is the lack of English speaking hotel owners/staff. However, even though the staff and owners are foreign of some sort, I had no problems with understanding them and vice versa. The bed was comfortable but that's the only positive thing. The breakfast was VERY limited and the seating was even MORE limited. Only two tables in the breakfast area.The worst was the shower. It was a stand up shower very small where there is limited room to move around in. Didn't even have to use the cold water as the hot water was very luke warm […] and it took atleast five minutes to get very luke warm water. Next to no pressure also. Little to no amenities in bathroom. No full breakfast; continental breakfast items were of poor quality and stale. Old hotel had an odor. No refund on fee even if you cancel ahead of time. Poor parking spots with little room for large vehicles. Hotel staff would not provide a receipt even when asked.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. Very limited breakfast, but we didn't stay there for the breakfast. I thought parking was really safe. I would stay here again. Not luxurious, but inexpensive, clean and conveniently located.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The location relative to public transportation was great. The room was comfortable and the price was reasonable.

The Hotel location is great but hotel itself needs lot of improvement. The entire hotel was smelly. Room doors and bathroom doors were very loud. The room was also very smelly. couldn't sleep at all. I checked out one day earlier. I reserved the hotel cause of its location and heard a lot about super 8 that their service and rooms are very clean. believing […] on that i select this super 8 but it was a very bad experience. i am never going to book super 8 anymore. lesson learned. 더 보기

Very nice, large room. Great price which included continental breakfast. 100% satisfied.

This hotel is not the newest, but it's fine for what I needed, mostly. There was free parking and internet. The bed was comfy and there was a fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was oddly laid out and every time you open the door from being in it, it slammed against the base of the shower. Oh, and the shower was horrible. NO WATER PRESSURE! And trying […] to get the temperature right was a guessing game. And good luck trying to take a shower in there if you weigh more than 150 pounds. It was really tiny and basically worthless. 더 보기

The biggest problem is the permeation of tobacco smoke throughout the hotel. The non-smoking rooms aren't bad but since there are smoking rooms on the same floor as non-smoking rooms, the corridors smell of tobacco which then seeps into the non-smoking rooms. A BIG mistake was made in assigning me to a smoking room which upon arrival we were told that […] nothing could be done. My wife is asthmatic and the smoke in the room was horrible. Fortunately the manager was able to make arrangements for us to obtain a non-smoking room....three cheers for the manager. Location was good, Hotel was clean, staff very courteous and friendly. The owners and employees of this hotel were great and the price is right. The room smelled old, for lack of a better description. Loved the free parking!

We booked this hotel just as a base for a get-away weekend, so we spent very little time in our room besides sleeping. The hotel is older, and the general appearance is somewhat shabby, but the rooms were clean and orderly. The corridors were smelly from smoking, but our room (on a smoking floor) was well aired out. The included "continental" breakfast […] was minimal, but well provided and clean. The front desk staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and orderly, although there were no grab bars anywhere especially in the shower/bath. The surrounding neighborhood is friendly and we felt safe walking to the L station, about 4 minutes away, even at night. 더 보기

We book out-of-town visitors here with some regularity, and outside of a pretty basic breakfast (sweet rolls and cereal) they have not had any issues.

Nice location, close to El, free parking, just a lil pricey for the quality.

Even the room was non-smoking, there is smell of smoke everywhere inside the room and also inside the enitre floor that we stayed.

Stayed there 4 days and had clean rooms to come back to after each day of festivities. Will come back if I ever come back to Chicago.

It's an older hotel. It was clean :) Just not convient! Italian restraurant four blocks away was delicious!

First of all the rate of the hotel seems to be incredibly high for the quality of the service and breakfast it provides. The stuff is also medium friendly, beginning from being more or less friendly at the beginning of the stay to open arguments by the end. Our room was very clean and the guy at the front desk was very polite and helpful. It's a Super 8, so it's not luxurious, but very clean. I would definitely stay again and reccomend it to friends. Also, it's a short walk to the train.

needs updating a lot, the box springs were VERY stained, faucet leaking. It was quiet, the breakfest was ok too many carbs need more fruit and meat alternatives(cheese,yougurt)

In an area where hotels are scarce, this is an affordable option. It was clean and comfortable.

We would stay again. Seemed clean. Water not hot enough when we got up at 7. Next day got up at 8:30 and water was hot! Overall fine for the money. Better than heart of Chicago hotel for the same price!!

Hotel room smelled funky. Water pressure in the shower was really poor. No hot breakfast available; just breads. No orange juice. Front desk clerk spoke really poor English and was hard to understand. King size bed was "hard". This place was not exactly a dump but it was pretty close. My bed spread had a cigarette hole in it and the tub had a cigarette burn. The smell of cigarettes was overwhelming.

Have stayed here many times, close to our daughter's home. Older motel, but very clean, quiet and comfortable. Really enjoy the free parking. Has small frig and microwave in every room. Could use a recliner after a day of sightseeing! Will stay again.

The accommodations at the Super 8 in Chicago were surprisingly comfortable and convenient. We stayed one night and the close proximity of the hotel to our destination was very welcome. It is in a nice neighborhood, very near to Loyola and close to the Lake. Our room was large, clean and quiet. The parking was very convenient and the service was cheerful. […] If we had stayed more than one night, I might have wanted a more modern bathroom. By no means a 4 star hotel, but that wasn't what I was looking for on this trip. This fit my need and more. Definitely an older property but located just 5 blocks from Jarvis Station on the Red Line and 2 blocks walk to Leone Park and Beach. The hotel was where we needed it to be, close to the Red LIne and friends home. The room smell had my wife concerned, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. The neighborhood was a bit suspect at night and i would recommend sticking to Sheridan as much as possible. The side streets were pretty dark and little traffic. […] I would stay there again if i needed that location. Having a daughter at Loyola U/north campus, location was perfect as was the price. One block from the lake provided runs to Evanston (north) or the campus (south). Local markets and food items nearby. For the two of us, Super 8 was Super!!

We were very satisfied with our stay here. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older, but the room was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was nice. There was a park nearby and a beach within a few blocks. We took a bus to get to Chicago. So we relied exclusively on the city transportation and it was very easy to […] get to the hotel by bus or subway. The bus stop was right across the street and the subway was only 4 blocks away.
