would liked to have a micro & frig in the room but was really not that big a deal, had nothing to cook and the ice machine was only 150' away, and even got a 'smoking' room, could have lived without it.

The room was clean and comfortable. Location is great. Breakfast includes coffee, juices, hot and cold cereals, bread and toast, waffles, and TV.

We enjoyed our stay there the staff was friendly and the room was clean and large it even had a refrige which I wasn't expecting.We didn't even have to look for the hotel it was off the exit. Plus it had all kinds of restraunts around it. The price was right and my daughter and I plan to spend time again in Mitchell very friendly town.

Most things at this hotel were fine for a one night stay. The only problem we had was the pool. It was highly over chlorinated! Our eyes were red and burning and our skin dried out and cracked even though we were careful to shower after swimming.

The night clerk was freindly and accomadating.

This was a decent hotel for a reasonable price. The room was very nice and comfortable. My only complaint was the breakfast. The selection was limited. I chose a waffle, but the waffle maker did not cook it fully, so I had a batter-filled waffle. Otherwise, I was pleased.

Definately not the cleanest place I have stayed. The room was ok.

The room did not havea refrigerator. We were told that only some of the rooms did but none was available to us and no refrigerator was available. My wife is diabetic and her insulin needed to be refrigerated. We had to use ice from the ice machine located a floor below us several times during our two day stay. Beds were broken down, no support. Non smoking room smelled like old smoke but yet we were told to sign a non smoking waiver...for what how would they know. The room reaked and hotel reaked of smoke.There were only 2 towels for 4 people, 1 packet of shampoo for 4 people in our room. If you are heading west, by-pass Mitchell in favor of Cumberland just 30 or so more miles. Much more beautiful, newer looking hotels and places to dine.

A really nice Super 8. Front desk very helpful...they called ahead to another Super 8 on our itinerary to ensure I had a ground floor (knee injury). Room was clean and comfortable.

The room was clean and staff friendly. It was convenient for us as we were there for one night on a trip west. If I were to redo Super 8's, I would add shelves in the bath area. There is not much counter space around the sink. I would also replace the pillows.

air conditioner did not work good. (It was very hot & humid outside.) Hotel desk staff were very snippy about me wanting another room for my elderly father because their air conditioner was not working at all. He was in a different room. He was having trouble breathing. Too much chlorine in pool and whirlpool. Breakfast was okay.

Bonus: Casino next to lobby!

We stayed here as part of trip from Minneapolis to Mount Rushmore. Onward trip on the same hotel was very pleasant and it was in 3rd floor. Returning trip was in 2nd floor non-smoking floor. The Bathroom was full of cigarette smell and with 2 little kids had a tough time and could not eliminate the smell inspite of applying Lysol and switching on the […] exhaust fan all the time. We choose the hotel as it is exactly mid-way from our Minneapolis to Mount Rushmore trip. Location is just next to expressway. We stayed in 3rd floor which had a non-smoking room, good new carpets in hallway, new bathroom. Complimentary breakfast is decent. It also had indoor pool also. Overall stay - good and meet our needs. Could still smell smoke throughout the whole hotel, even though we were in a non-smoking wing. Didn't eat breakfast. Hotel was quiet, even with a youth and adult softball tourney going on.

If you are looking for a basic, no-frills motel, this Super 8 will fit the bill. There was a free continental breakfast and coffee which was a nice surprise. The price was right for the amenities.

This motel was booked through hotels.com. I wouldn't have booked it if I personally visited it beforehand. The price was okay although I would have paid less had I booked it myself. The room was dark and seemed a little dirty/musty. The motel is like a bi-level house with half the rooms below ground. We were in a below ground room. It would have been […] nice to open the window for some fresh air but we looked out over the parking lot and wouldn't feel safe at ground level with the window open. The room sleeping are was the usual size with two beds. The bathroom area was adequate for a couple guys but I could see my wife complaining about the minimal counter space. Good, cheap hotel stay. We just needed a one night stay before heading on to the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore area. It had an outdoor pool and a continental breakfast in the morning.

We found exactly what we were looking for: a clean, quiet place to spend the night on our way someplace else, with a very good breakfast the next morning. We were in the company of other tourist types like ourselves. Not fancy, but good value for the price.

Motel was clean an comfortable. Great location. Children loved the pool, though 2nd day a little too much chlorine in the water and irritated skin but pool and hot tub were nice.

This motel was right off of I-90 and was close to restaurants and Cabela's which my husband enjoyed. The pool was warm.It was a fine quick stay on our way farther west.

The hotel was clean and the service was adequate for a quick stopping point for a road trip. Would recommend something larger for a multi-night stay.
