I will begin this review with the positives. The food in the restaurant was wonderful, as well as the service in the bar. When entering the lobby of the hotel, we were impressed with the decor and friendliness of the staff as well as the ease of the check in process. The pool area was pleasant and well maintained. Once we were taken to our rooms, everything […] went south. Hotels dot com provided us with a description of our rooms when we made the reservation along with the hotel amenities. This description matched pictures we saw on the the hotel website. Room would include a mini bar, 42 in plasma t.v., mini safe, natural rain shower head, Egyptian cotton linens, specialty bath amenity ect. We entered our rooms (we reserve 2) to find a t.v. that was circa 1980, no safe, no microwave (although the stove with aluminum foil was quite interesting) a mini refrigerator, a shower that "trickled" alternating hot and cold water, 1980's tile floor with multiple colors of grout representing numerous fill attempts over the decade. Many of the tiles shifted and moved when stepped upon, and we especially liked the "rock" on which the toilet paper sat in the lav. Furniture on balcony was made of torn brown fabric and wood that was unusable. If you sat in the chair, you would quickly find yourself on the floor. I was mostly impressed with the collection of dozens of cigarette butts past occupants left on the balcony. To clarify, room was located over entrance to hotel, collection wast on the "awning" covering entrance which was directly in front of my balcony. My coworkers room had an additional surprise. The mini fridge had frozen much of the items inside and some had exploded. Maid service never bothered to clean the broken glass or liquid inside. The final touch that so impressed us both were the plastic hangars in the closet. To be blunt, room was a DUMP! I wish this review had the option to post photos, I took several.... This hotel is conveniently located and reasonable in it's rates. But the pictures shown are mainly of the remodeled rooms and most of the rooms are in the old decor and style. So if you want the nicer rooms then you have to make sure it is one of the remodeled ones and I am sure it is a higher priced category. The food is great and they have a nice bar. The pool is pretty comfortable too. The Bahia is a phenomenal place to stay for three reasons. (1) The staff is incredibly warm and helpful and provides service with a smile, especially Adriana, Carlos, Carla and Mattias, who all helped with our stay, finding local restaurants, arranging activities and just overall making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. (2) The […] restaurant there, Bar Esquina, is out of this world. Literally everything on the menu --the cocktails too-- is delicious. The chef and staff of the kitchen are doing an amazing job. (3) Convenience. It is steps away from Medano Beach and very close to all the nightlife in downtown San Lucas too. That makes for a much easier stay than some of the big resorts on other parts of the coast. Overall I would very highly rate this hotel. Only caution is this: try to go when it's not Spring break if you want to avoid all the youngsters in bikinis running around and being loud. 더 보기

The room needs renovation. The view was blocked by a new resort (Casa Dorada) which was a brand new resort. Overall, not bad for a budget resort/hotel. But for honeymooners, you might prefer the ones with beach front but expect higher price.

The Bahia was wonderful! Our room was simple, perfectly clean and lovely. The restaurant was our favourite part however, the best meals we had in Cabo were all at the Bahia!

Stayed here for a week on a girlfriends vacation. Pleasantly surprised by the hotel given the good price. Biggest complaint was front desk was sometimes non-responsive to requests (ie: new clean glasses, re-stocking of fridge, etc). Great location.

Friendly staff & convenient location!! Only 150m & your toes are in the sand. Close to marina, restaurants & shopping you can walk everywhere. Bahia restaurant is nice, food delicious - try the tuna tartare & passionfruit margarita!! My family of four adults arrived on Dec. 31 at the Bahia and were told that the two rooms I had reserved and paid for through hotels.com were not available. They had reserved rooms for us at another hotel and would transport us therel. I asked if the alternate hotel was well-located with the same amenities as the Bahia and was told YES. The alternative […] hotel and it was a small, chain-type hotel with no atmosphere, much farther from the beach. We then returned to the Bahia and they "found" a room with two beds near the lobby. We were told it would be very loud and it was, not only on Dec. 31, but other nights as well. The most disappointing was the lack of helpfulness of the concierge and staff. Unfriendly and unhelpful. I rented a two room suite for my family as did my brother for his. Big rooms, nice location, although no view anymore (peeks of the sea of cortez), uncomfortable furniture, lousy showers - variable pressure. Nice hotel, but has seen better days, some rooms are being renovated. Hotel located within walking distance to local restaurants and marina, and one short block from Medona Beach. The only downfall; is the hotel doesn't provide amenities (coffee maker, ice machine, cookware) although there was a stove in the room.

The hotel is beautiful, it has very nice and elegant feeling to it, with white stucco walls, drapes, open spaces, polished concrete floors - it looks like something you will find in magazine. It is also close to the Medano beach, and has its own pool and jacuzzi. There is a safe room on the main floor, but every time you want to use it, you need to call and tip the bellman. The pool was closing before 9pm, which is strangely early in a place where night life just starts at that hour. No coffee maker in the room, and the restaurant opens for breakfast at 8am, which is late if you want to just get up, and get you day start early. There was a stove in the room, but again, you need to ask the front desk to get you pots and pans for it to boil some water, but no coffee making stuff provided. So, overall, I would not stay in this hotel, unless all I want to do is just hang around the hotel and walk to the beach. For more active crowd I would try finding something different. 더 보기

I moved from an unacceptable hotel in Cabo to Bahia. I had found both on hotels.com. This hotel was great. The pool is pleasant to sit around and the beach is about a block down. I had an excellent 5 day stay at the Bahia. Staff was very good--top notch. Food was excellent also. Great bar too. I'm glad I stayed there instead of my usual...the Me by Melia. Bahia is in a great location also. I'll be back.

The staff is friendly, hotel is clean, food is good. Good value for the cheap price. Biggest issue was the amount of noise outside our room beginning at 5:30am. Our room on the ground floor was next to a large maintenance room and housekeeping. Every morning we awoke to workers talking right outside our door and carts being pushed thru the hall. We […] complained about the noise the first morning and were told to check back approx 5 times throughout the day before they told us we could not change rooms. Our only complaint with this hotel was the advertisement for free calls to the US and Europe. Apparently there is only one phone line for the entire hotel which was busy our entire stay so it was impossible to call anyone other than reception.

I was really impressed with this hotel. The rooms were spacing and modern. It had a great restaurant/bar attached and the pool side bar had 2 for one drinks all day. My new husband and I decided to go to Los Cabos for our honeymoon after multiple recommendations by family and friends, as well as an enticing 2 hour flight from San Diego. We knew going in that we really wanted to split our time at 2 different places, one being my parent's timeshare on the outskirts of town, and then we were looking for something closer […] to the center of Cabo San Lucas. When we saw the rate for Bahia, and then the reviews and looked through photos, we were in! Upon arrival we upgraded our room from a 3rd or 4th floor Classic room, to the poolside Deluxe room, for a very small charge. We walked in and made ourselves very comfortable. There is a small kitchen area, nice-sided bathroom, and a standard bedroom space with upgraded decor and awesome fixtures. Actually, I was obsessed with all the lanterns and fixtures throughout the whole property! We immediately threw on our suits and walked straight off our patio into the pool area. Awesome! After some pool time, we headed up to their bar, Bar Esquina, for some cocktails. The Caddy Margarita was DELICIOUS! They have a very full bar, and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered an order of fish tacos and yet another A+ there! We ended up eating 6 tacos each (they are street-sized) and called it dinner. The second day there we decided to hang by the pool, check out the surrounding area, and then head back to Esquina for dinner. The location we soon found out, was perfect. Across the street is a tiny little liquor store with 6-packs of Coronas for $5. We bought some and headed to the beach, which is literally a minute walk. After our day on the beach, we went back to Bahia, got ready, and went downstairs for dinner. My husband had the oyster/clam dish with pasta and a light sauce. He loved it. I had the hangar steak which came with mashed potatoes and garlic broccoli. It melted in my mouth! Came on a girlfriends getaway. Perfect hotel for that. Low-key, very nice staff who we got to know. GREAT food at the restaurant. Comfortable beds. Great value as it's close to the beach and town. Can walk easily. Highly recommend!

I had a friend who recommended this hotel to me. When first entering, the hotel was quite lovely. As for the room.... Well the first thing that caught my attention was the bamboo style doors to the bathroom. Half of the bamboo pieces had broken off, leaving large holes big enough for someone to stick their head through, giving you absolutely no privacy […] while using the restroom. This made me a little uncomfortable. The second thing that caught my eye was the large seashell shaped headboard. Now, the entire room was white, which made it easy to see the dirt. The headboard looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. One thing I was looking forward to doing while staying here was visiting the pool at having a drink at the bar there. When we did visit the pool, all the bottles were set up as if someone should've been there serving people, but no bartender showed up during the two hours we were down there. As we were packing up our things to head back to the room, an employee came out to take all the bottles back inside. We had already asked an employee the night before for the hours of the bar, and we were there hours before it was scheduled to close. In my eyes the only thing that I truly loved about this hotel was the location. It was a 10-15 min walk to all the restaurants and bars, and it was in a decent neighborhood. 더 보기

After a week at the One & Only Palmilla, just about any hotel would be a disappointment but we were pleased to stay at the Bahia for two nights. The highlight is the main floor and corner resteraunt Esquina. The food and drinks here were excellent, service staff was excellent and we returned here after a nice meal at the Hacienda (must do for sunset) […] to our favorite bartender Andres for more martinis and dessert. The pool area is not the most comfortable, wooden lounge chairs are not good for long hauls. The beach area is a zoo and you cannot sit there quietly with all the solicitations so we did not bother. Wish the pool chairs were more comfortable. This hotel has simple rooms, no clock/alarm clocks, but clean and comfortable bedding. Bathrooms not very private w bamboo doors, our sliding door didn't work, vertical blinds are a pain but liked having a kitchen to reheat our leftovers for lunch and the convenience to the Marina shopping areas. Don't go here for the beach or the pool though. Do go here to shop and to eat at Esquina and the Hacienda. 더 보기

Check in was smooth, easy to find parking and the lobby was nice. Room was decent (TV outdated, no Ipod dock, or wifi in room), pool was clean (however a security person said that the jacuzzi closes at 8p??? This is Cabo right?). We have stayed at this hotel for many years. The hotel is several years old and is in need a major remodel. They have started the remodel, but we were not informed of this before we arrived. Construction started at 7 am and ran until 5 pm daily. Jack Hammers where all you could hear all day if you stayed at the hotel. The new beds installed were like […] sleeping on concreate. This was a great location. It is a 3 minute walk to the main beach and a 10 minute walk to the malecon & mall. It is highly recommended!

The hotel was great for the money that we paid. We got breakfast included and were right in town within walking access to the Marina and the swimable beach in Cabo. The beds are really hard so you should be prepared for that but overall we had a nice time.

I loved the friendly staff, super cleanliness, and laid back atmosphere. The pool was always clean. The swim up bar was closed and there was no restaurant on site, only a continental breakfast, which was very good. Rooms are spacious and the AC worked fine, but the beds are really firm. The Bahia Hotel is not a luxury hotel, but the price was excellent for the quality and the location. It was very close to Medano Beach, the swimmable beach, and to the shopping mall. Das Hotel is nahezu optimal gelegen - nur ein kleiner Fußmarsch bis zum Meer (ca. 150m) und Marina und die "Ausgehmeile" ist ebenfalls sehr bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel selbst überzeugt durch seine Lage und vor allem durch seine Göße. Es ist so schön angenehm klein, dass nicht das Gefühl eines "Touristen-Tempels" aufkommt.
