It was great.

Was not our first choice primarily because we wanted to be on the river walk, but the shuttle and free parking made this hotel stand out. The place it self was as nice as any place I've stayed. The management was great and our trip was great due to the Holiday Inn Express.

I was only here for one night but I wish it was longer. I enjoyed my stay & would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the San Antonio area.

The convenience of a shuttle, free breakfast and inexpensive cost for a two night stay (for just sleeping) was ideal for our 5 person family. We don't need a fancy stay, nor do we mind a semi-loud hotel as we have 3 children.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. There was a free shuttle to the downtown area and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the beds were not very comfortable, but that's just my opinion. Overall good price and we had a wonderful time. I would stay their again.

The room needed another lanp stand other than that, the room was comfortable.

Wirelss service was terrible. I was only able to get on the wireless network 2out of the 5days i was there. Very frustrating when i needed for work. When i would ask about the front desk would say "yeah it goes down once in awhile. One of night clerk was concerned but everyone else xould have cared less. I will never go back to that hotel again.

The accomidations were very good. The staff was the betI have seen in all my travels and were very helpful with any thing we needed. I would stay there again the next time.

I called the hotel direct to find out if they were on the riverwalk and was told they were. They are not. They are several blocks away in a bad neighborhood. Also at the breakfast they were out of items an hour before closing of bar. I was told that they were out and would not recieve more food until tomorrow, but I'm sure the hostess just didn't want […] to put more out, so she could start cleaning it. The hotel is very clean, staff friendly and helpful, and overall a nice hotel. That being said do not stay here unless you plan to drive to the rivercenter/riverwalk area or can walk long distances. I wrongly assumed the hotel was near the rivercenter mall since the word is in their name. It isn't. It is at least 6 or 7 blocks on the other side of the […] freeway (which you have to walk under with all the cars) and is closer to the Alamodome than riverwalk. It is actually in an area called St/ Paul Square where there are bars and a few restaraunts but not many. The area around the hotel is not well lit or a nice area to be alone in. Although a nice hotel, I don't think they should advertise as being by the rivercenter. Had I known where it was I would have stayed at the Red Roof Inn or the Best Western Sunset Suites. 더 보기

This hotel was perfect for our attendance at the Dawson/Travis High School semi-final game on December 9 at the Alamodome We took the hotel shuttle to the Alamodome, and walked safely back after the game. The only issue is that my grandson was unable to hook up his X-Box game to the television set.

Very convenient if you are planning on going to Alamodome. Free parking, walking distance to dome. They do have a shuttle if you did not wish to walk. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel.

Room was clean and large. Amazing breakfast gadget produced pancakes like a fax machine. OK stay despite the long walk to Rivercenter.

The Holiday Inn Express San Antonio Rivercenter Hotel is very well situated for AMTRAK passengers. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Very disappointed in the location. Thought it was closer in town. The bed were uncomfortable. The only nice thing was the shuttle that took us to the river walk and picked us up. Will not stay again.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend, and all in all...it wasn't what we had in mind. First of all, it's not in the best part of town and now I know better for future getaways. That said, it's not a bad hotel at all. It's kept up fairly well. The free breakfast--was pretty good, as said by my husband. For me, it could have been better but […] what do you expect for a Holiday Inn? The cinnamon rolls were the best thing, imo. There were some scratch marks on the wall, and there is a weird noise when you turn on the light in the bathrooms. Rooms were very clean was there for a mini-vacation with family and the housekeeping staff very accomdating to any request but the only thing is that the rooms need to be updated.

Went there to stay a night over for the Bon Jovi Concert March 17th. Slept well although the air conditioner in the room basically ran all night long. I didn't hear it due to noise cancelling headphones, but the wife had difficult time sleeping with the fan running.. Otherwise, everything was super clean, good shower, be was really comfortable. I'd […] still recommend the stay. It's literally walking distance to the Riverwalk, but unnecessary. They had a shuttle running back and forth every 30 minutes. Great to leave the car behind and just go. Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. Only negative was the breakfast - not much offered and not restocked during a weekday morning. Had stayed at HI express before and this one didn't measure up to our previous stay/expectation. Not lcoated in the best part of town.

The breakfast was good enough. it is close to the riverwalk almost 10 minutes walk.

The room was great.. bed was comfortable. with separate room and pull out couch, 2 TVs. The coffee machine was a waste of time .. difficult to use. Breakfast was a bit of a problem.. Ran out of eggs and bacon and had to wait for the lady tp prepare.. Annette at the front desk was very helpful.. She needs a raise!

Great hotel and close to downtown San Antonio!

The hotel was very clean and the people were friendly. It was within walking distance to mall and Alamo Dome and they even offer a shuttle to both. The free breakfast was good. The only thing we didn't like was that the pool was really small and I could hear the traffic from our room.

My biggest gripe was the local shuttle. It took them over an hour to pick us up from the drop location and it was only about a 10-15 minute ride by car to the location. The room was also really small. The breakfast was good and hot. The pool was small but clean and well maintained. Overall, not a bad choice for the price.

it was very pleasant , and I would recomended, personel was fantastic, servive was great.

This review is in response the the previous reviews. I based my decision on this hotel soley on what I reviewed prior. This is in response to what I read. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The best part was the breakfast. It was a complete breakfast with many options (varied day by day). The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a good job at […] keeping it clean (we stayed for 4 nights). We got a two bed and the best part was that it was divided into different sections for privacy. This is nice if you have kids. The front part of the room had a tv with a pull-out sofa. So we really had 2 queen beds with a sofa bed. We also have an infant, so it was kind of nice that they provided us with a crib. The two somewhat neg things that others had said where in regards to the location, which we didnt think was too bad. Downtown is about 2 blocks away, but it was definitely not a big deal since they have a shuttle that runs every 30mins (from 6-10 or so). Also, that shuttle drops off at 4 different, convinient locations. Youjust call the hotel and they will send the shuttle to pick you up. Parking is free, which is nice since most other hotels charge. Finally, the hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The only other neg I would say is that the pool was a little small, but even that wasn't a big deal to us. It it was really nice and clean. So, overall: positives are breakfast, shuttle, room and cost (pretty inexpensive). The negatives, which aren't that serious, would be location and size of pool. In addition to the unacceptable check-in demeanor of the hotel attenant and waiting for 30-45 minutes for a clean room, the hallways reaked of urine, but we could tell someone had sprayed something to try to cover it up. The hotel is an older one, but they have tried to make it liveable. The hot breakfast was ok; however the staff was very adamant about […] the ending time of breakfast. The proximity to the Riverwalk, the free parking and shuttle service, and the nice African American lady that checked us out were the highlights of our stay. The hotel is okay depending on your standards and what you're looking for, but I personally don't plan to stay here again.
