From the looks of this hotel I wouldn't have thought I could afford to stay here, but they have very competitive rates. Check-in took a little bit of time, but the front desk attendants were friendly and respectful, the room was quite roomy and very clean. Despite being located directly adjacent to the 405, my room on the first floor was amazingly quiet. […] Plus this proximity to the interstate makes it very convenient to get to other areas in LA quickly. The area is also safe and clean - I live in LA and there are certain places I would not even consider staying, but as a female I had no worries about walking outside in the early morning (4am) and parking my car in the free lot. For eco-minded people, the hotel has a system where you must store your key card in a receiver to keep the lights on, so when you leave all the lights turn off because you have to take your key card with you (this in addition to all the efforts to save on laundry volume). 더 보기

Staff and hotel were excellent. We did not have a car so were restricted as not much in the neighborhood but hotel did offer a shuttle service to surrounding areas.

Large and clean rooms, free parking, free wifi, and a free buffet breakfast that was more than just yogurt and a stale bagel. That would be a great list in any location and at about any price. But throw in the fact that the hotel is close to LA sites and is about half the price of other hotels of comparable quality, and you have a winner! My only complaint […] was that my room was a bit too noisy for my taste. The hotel is right off of the freeway, so many of the rooms have traffic noise. We stayed at 4 hotels during our trip and this one was by far the best! We booked it for its proximity to LAX, since we had an early flight out after a stay at Disney. The elegance was completely lost on my 9 year old, but I appreciated a little sophistication after Disney. Coming from the land of hotels, my kids and I were impressed with the Ayres. First, it's uniquely designed with European flair which lent itself to being "out of town." Most important, however, is the value. The spacious rooms, free full breakfast, free parking and free shuttle to the beach were invaluable in optimizing our time and budget. Great hotel very close to LAX & right off the freeway. Customer Service was awsome. We were on the 2nd floor ... directly above a wedding reception. The staff was very friendly. Even though we checked in an hour and a half early they checked us in right away. The room was clean, dust free, odorless - just what you'd want in a room. The hotel decoration in my particular taste is not my favorite but it was nice, old European-Italian style. Even I know is part of their signature style, I'm a travel agent and I booked it for the reviews I saw about it. GREAT HOTEL., the staff is really friendly and couldn't ask for better. My wife and I stayed at this hotel on the first stop of our honeymoon and could not have been happier with it. The pice was great, the service from the staff was superb and the hotel and rooms were comfortable, clean and tidy and breakfast was tasty. The only thing I would say, is that if you don't have a car, you may find that the location isn't great […] but this is due more to the fact that LA is so big rather than the hotel itself. Very comfortable, a little out of the way but a shuttle service runs wherever you want within 3 miles. Beautiful surroundings and very attentive staff. Very handy for airport only slight downfall is very close to freeway so some noise alrhougth the double glazIng cuts most of it out . Would definately stay again .

The Ayers is absolutely Fantastic!, we went there after our wedding and was completely awed by the beauty of the hotel and freindlness of the staff...the rooms were huge and clean, we had a courtyard view, wr will definitely be coming back.

This was our first time staying at an Ayres Hotel. It won't be our last. We liked the separate sitting area which made the room very comfortable. There were nice sitting areas throughout the hotel and a good restaurant. Good value for the money!

Landed at LAX, picked up the rental car and headed down to Ayres Hotel, beautiful hotel, eloquently decorated for Holiday Season, room excellent, breakfast buffet limited but not a problem seeing as we're on vacation and the next meal is never far away, parking good, looking forward to perhaps returning on return journey??

The staff at the Ayres was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is clean and well-appointed. The outdoor atrium is a nice place to relax and makes you forget that you are just off the 405 freeway. The only issue is that the restaurant in the hotel is not actually affiliated with the hotel. Therefore there is no room service and you can't take food from […] the restaurant to your room. A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Conveniently located with shopping outlets nearby. Parking is free! Breakfast is boring though as the exact menu repeats every alternate day. If u intend to stay more than 4 nights, then make alternative arrangements for bfast. Otherwise, the hotel is perfect with really friendly & helpful staff.

Way beyond beautiful -- verging on opulent. The double queen studio suite my sister and I shared had 12-ft (or more?) ceilings, brocade bed covers and sham pillows, marble bathroom, and a mini-fridge and microwave as well as a coffee-maker. It would have been great for doing breakfast in the morning, except that the hotel breakfast (full hot breakfast […] buffet) was much too good to pass up. Everything is grand in this hotel, feels like you traveled to Europe because of it's design. Very nice, very clean. Front desk is very hospitable as well. Finally got 2 thumbs up from my wife which is very seldom. The room is so elegant and it comes with hot breakfast buffet too. Definitely staying in this hotel again!!!

This hotel is top-notch. Everything from the furnishings to the comfortable beds, to the wonderful staff. An absolute perfect stay. The hotel is not located near the beach, so you do need a car. But a great value and 5-star (seriously) experience.

Although surrounding area is not the best for LA, it is conveniant access to the highway and fairly close to other good parts in LA. The service was plain and simply terrible. The employees were not rude by any means, they just didn't do anything to go out of their way to ensure customer comfort and satisfaction. I read other reviews and saw it rated low in service, but I didn't think it would be a big deal since I was staying for only a night. I was wrong. The best hotel to take a PERFECT GET AWAY! My husband and I love to get away anytime we get a chance to. Prices are reasonable. The rooms are beautiful for resting and taking some time off the hectic day to day.

We chose an Ayres Hotel for the first time and were quite happy with the quality and the value. We have already booked another Ayres Hotel for an upcoming stay.

I used only one night for our flight next day. The hotel is nice and we want to stay more.

This was the last stop for our "Girls Only" vacation. My sister and I told our daughters that we were staying at the Best Western, so when they walked through the front door and saw how beautiful it was they got really excited! One of the girls said it was like being in a castle with the statues and antiques. It was special last day in LA!! Great location. Easy access to freeway. Also not far from Mahattan Beach.

For the location it does not say anywhere that is right next to the freeway.They make sure there are thick windows and curtains but it would be nice somewhere to mention that.The houskeeping does not speak any english-they did not know the word "sheet".Nice breakfast.There are lots of fast food chains and Costco in walking distance.
