When I called for a reservation, I was told that there were no 1 bedroom rooms available. I booked what was called a "Deluxe Studio Suite". I was told that there would be two separate beds. staying at stardust was awesome.it is within walking distance to the casinos and is directly across the street from the gondola and many shoppes and restaurants. the staff was awesome especially Jose that did everything to accomodate us. when in tahoe we will always stay here.

My Son & new Daughter-in-law invited us to go on this ski trip to Lake Tahoe, not much snow but we had an amazing time. We walked everywhere. It was sooo beautiful there. Heavenly was right across the street!! Great places to eat!! Lots of places to shop. Just the most COZY town iv'e ever been in. Loved it!!!!

I've stayed in Harrah's and Lakeland Village Beach & Mountain Resort before. Both are nice but I cannot get a good deal this year with neither and found Stardust. The 2.5 star rating scares me a bit at booking but the rave online reviews are not phony - I am pleasantly surprised by what Stardust has to offer. Friendly staff, location (right across from […] Heavenly Village), free breakfast and pop corn in the lobby, free video rentals and wi-fi, most importantly, great value. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is right across the street from the Heavenly Gondola. The room rate was cheap. My family and I didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back.. I would absolutely recommend the Stardust Lodge to anyone!

Everything is perfect except bed.

Employee's were nice, our room was not comforting at all. I can stand the fact there was no AC, fine, but when the room constantly smells like sewage, not good thing. The couch in our room was covered with a blank, why? I was too scared to look underneath it. I did love the bbq/pool area, just wished the refrigerators were full sized like downstairs, […] so therefore most of my food spoiled. Hotel was decent. We booked through hotels.com for a queen bed and got a Murphy bed, wasn't real happy about that. No ac unless you specify you want that room because they only have a few available, it was a little stuffy. Great location with nice little room. Was a bit surprised that my room had a Murphy bed, but was still comfortable and clean. Would strongly recommend this place for any couple getting away for a few days.

After a long hot trip from AZ we walked into a hot stuffy room. Although the bed was fairly comfortable and the room was clean the lack of air conditioning was a huge turn off. Also what they call a continental breakfast is stale donuts!

The room was compact and very clean. The hide-away beds made the most of small space. The shower was lovely. The room was warm though finally cooled sufficiently with the large fan so that we could sleep. There is no air conditioning, just the ceiling fan. Just another reason why we have come back to the Stardust Lodge…. the management and staff are stellar! We checked in this past Saturday early in the morning to spend the day at the beach although we were not able to check in that early since the room was being cleaned. We went up to see how soon it might be available and saw that is was a nice room […] but tucked away in the corner, so we asked if they may have another room that we could change to. The Manager Lorena let us know she could not guarantee anything as they were full but she would see what she could do if something changed. Not expecting anything when we returned Lorena was there to check us in an informed us that she was able to move us to another room due to an early checkout and that we would be very happy with the new room. Boy were we ever! I walked in and I felt like I walked into a condo, it had everything a living room space, a kitchen, the bed which I jumped on top of because it looked to good not to! Also had a room separator which was great and there was a jet tub in the bathroom which we took full advantage of as well as a sitting area with fireplace. We seriously considered staying another night just to be able to use all the amenities this room had to offer…don’t want say which room (our little secret!) but once again the Stardust did not disappoint and again the management went above and beyond to take care of their patrons, the location is awesome, the grounds and amenities the hotel has is better than what I think the higher priced hotels offer and they care about your experience – I think the Marriott across the street even gets jealous watching us taking advantage of the sundeck drinking a nice cold beverage on a beautiful Tahoe day as we watch all the people walk by. It was our last summer run of the year and we could not have had a better experience, you bet we will be back as I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thanks again Lorena! We go South Lake Tahoe quite a bit being Sacramento natives and being married there but we had never stayed in the Stardust Lodge before. Now that we have we will not stay anywhere else. The value at this hotel is incredible. Great rooms with alot of ammenities: Great TV, refrigerators, microwaves, dishes, utensils and they even had a bottle opener(I […] forgot mine). Anything you would ever need for an enjoyable stay is at this hotel......and it is included with no extra charge. example...bike rentals, movies, breakfast. A wonderful sun deck with bbq's was a hit with us. The staff was was amazingly friendly and accomodating. We love this hotel and will keep returning!! 더 보기

First rate location, very comfy, nice and helpful staff, entertainment within walking distance. For a few bucks more you could stay at one of the casinos, but don't. This place has character.

Great location and easy to get too. Also there two pools and no smoking within twenty feet. Overall solid place to stay.

It is conveniently located just across the street from the Heaven Valley Gondola to the ski areas. Walk to casinos. Large clean room with multichannnel TV, a radio, kitchen corner. Continental break fast - only donuts; would like bread, butter, jam instead. and/or cereal

This is my third stay at the Stardust and I love it. You're not just a number at this hotel and it feels like a home away from home. The only con was that the bed was a bit firm and outdated. For the price, and the all the other perks (coffee maker, free popcorn, activities room, refrigerator, location on the strip), it was perfect for us.

I loved the Stardust. Pros: Kitchenette (burners upon request), bike rentals, private beach, friendly staff, location, family oriented, free dvd rentals, 2 pools & spa, very clean bathrooms, several cable channels. Cons: old towels/carpet/linens, can hear your neighbors. If you prefer the highest quality of linens, appliances, etc., then this isn't […] your cup of tea. Growing up my family spent a lot of time in S. Lake Tahoe mostly staying at the Stardust. And it seems to be exactly how I remembered it. The Stardust was very run down. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows old, the linens thin and gray. The room was hot and it was hard to get adequate circulation to cool it, even with 2 fans. Old dirty carpet. One of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.

We had three couples in our party and the overall experience was excellent for all of us. I would definitely stay there again if I were to return to South lake Tahoe.

This hotel is perfect for skiers. It is directly across the street to Heavenly and is located on the "free" bus route. It was decorated with outdated mauve carpet and gold tables, which was easy enough to ignore because the room was clean. However our studio only had a murphy bed (pull out of wall) which was not comfortable.We had to put it up and down […] every day because there was not enough room to walk around if it was pulled out. This is a time-share complex right on the main Hwy, but within walking of casinos, private beach, shopping, gondola, grocery, etc. in the Heavenly area. Kids in pool, hwy and late-nite casino revelers make it noisy, but convenience makes up for it. We travel w/our own food, so fridge/micro in studio was great; pull-down bed comfortable; fine size room […] for two. Staff is casual but accommodating. Complimentary breakfast is not worth much and dinners served for $7.00 are a joke, so don't plan on eating here, however, fabulous grocery store and restaurants within walking. Excellent hotel, conveniently located for all year round (not just ski). NV is a few blocks away. Free pass to the private beach. Two hot tubs. Being able to borrow DVDs is nice. Their breakfast is basic but you can walk to a bunch of places, including the NV casinos. Front desk staff were helpful with questions.
