The stay was very nice and the hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel location for my needs was very good. My only negative was that the price on Monday night was quite high. It is a nice, clean hotel in a good location for business or touring London.

It's a 10 min walk to either St. Paul or Chancery tube. I didn't like the area at night because most eateries close at 5 or 6 and streets are somewhat empty. It's a business/office area. Also, you could very well walk into other streets that are iffy. The service and quality of the hotel itself is great. If you have to stay close to a work/office location […] it's fine but I would not recommend it for leisure or tourism. 더 보기

Rarely do I give max marks to anything but this place was excellent. Wouldn't blink about staying there again.

The Crowne Plaza was just an the perfect location close to St Pauls Cathedral. The cleanliness, food, friendliness of staff, everything about the entire stay was just perfect. I would recommend anyone to stay there, whether it be for business stay or holiday. It also accommodates 4 people in 1 room, so very suitable for families.

breakfast was not included in the price so they try to sell me a daily breakfast at 50 pounds daily :( room deluxe?? they didnt clean the room at all , i stayed 3 days the come once but late in the afternoon

Booked this hotel for a 1 night stay for a works dinner on a Friday night, got a discounted rate because of weekend. Room was gorgeous, modern & clean. Plenty of space there too. My husband doesn't like lifts so we asked for a low floor and if we could use the stairs. They were located behind reception and we had to go through some staff areas, but […] they were happy to accomodate us. Its strange that stairs aren't more accessible. There were some funny smells in the reception area, not sure if they were having problems with the drains, but the smell hadn't reached the rooms. This didn't detract from our stay. We had a wedding nearby and needed a hotel. This had some of the best reviews and so seemed the obvious choice. What a gem! The Crowne Plaza looks brand new, is very clean with excellently sized rooms and bathrooms. Have stayed in many hotels but this was by far the best nights sleep I have ever had! The bed and pillows were a winning combination. There […] wasn't the usual slamming of doors, hoovering or maintenance repairs you get in some hotels either. Crowne Plaza London The City Hotel - strangely convoluted name for a good hotel, very comfortable, clean and quiet although within easy walking distance of the City and St Pauls. Pleasing, warm ambience, good food, cheerful and alert staff. Highly recommended.

Overall a nice hotel. Get what you expect a room in this price-level should offer, but no more than that. I found the traffic disturbing even when up in 5th floor. We were told all standard rooms were located in 1st floor. Short walk to Westminister, 5-7 min walk to Temple underground. Personally I would prefer a hotel closer to Oxford street/Picadilly […] circus. Still, with less traffic I would certainly choose this hotel again. Beds are one of the best I ever found in a hotel. Well located, although the closest tube station (Blackfriar's) is under renovation for at least another year. Because the tube is the easiest form of transport, this is something one must consider. Other than this, the hotel was very nice and the service was excellent.

The staff were courteous and the room was ready at our arrival. The room was top notch- large and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. We had chosen the hotel for its proximity to the Tube, but did not realize Blackfriars station was out of service for a year. The breakfast offering was excellent , but a little pricey. Hotel in de bovenklasse, blijkt vooral uit prijsniveau. Bedienend personeel goed, maar sfeer is strak en stressy.

Hotellet er ok, men vi hadde rom utan vindu ut (berre mot atrium). Litt kjedeleg strøk, men nærleiken til Themsen og kort gangavstand til meir spanande område (som Covent Garden) trekker opp.

Mycket bra och frächt hotell med 20 minuters gångväg till Covent garden. Vi hade bokat ett Club room som var mycket inbjudande. En besvikelse var dock att det var mycket litet jämfört med de bilder de publicerar på hemsidan. Bokar man club room har man tillgång till en club launch där de bjuder på dryck och tilltugg. Detta var mycket trevligt dock tycker […] vi att de var väl snåla i utbudet. Dvs, om de erbjuder detta skall det vara bra, annars kan det lika gärna kvitta. Frukosten Söndag morgon var lite kaosartad på grund av mycket folk i förhållande till storlek på frukostmatsal och personal. Det här både de kunna förutse bättre. Excellent hotel de standing, trés bien situé dans le quartier des affaires,un peu calme pendant le week-end. La Cathédrale St Paul se trouve à 700-800 mètres (magnifique, à ne pas rater). Seul petit problème concerne la station de métro (Blackfriards) située au pied de l'hotel car elle est en travaux mais de nombreux bus et autres stations de métro […] se trouvent à moins de 7-8 mn. 더 보기

Alle unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt. Der Service war schnell, kompetent in alle Fragen - auch im Organisieren von tickets und Limos und sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr ok, man konnte zwar die Fenster nicht öffnen, aber es war sehr ruhig, obwohl es mitten in der City liegt. Abends und am Wochenende fühlt man sich wirklich in einer Oase […] der Ruhe - das Frühstück am Wochenende wird anscheinend auch von vielen Briten geschätzt. Das italienische Restaurant im Hotel hat uns als Münchner/ quasi Halbitaliener nicht so gut geschmeckt, weil es sehr ambitioniert war, aber das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Tube liegt genau gegenüber, allerdings wird die Station Blackfriars gerade renoviert und ist deshalb geschlössen, ist aber bestimmt bald vorbei... Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort absteigen. 더 보기

Insgesamt liegt das Hotel in der Nähe der St. Paul's Kathedrale unweit der Themse. Von hier aus liessen sich alle Ausflüge problemlos unternehmen. Wer also in der City wohnen möchte für anständiges Geld und nicht auf einen gewissen Komfort verzichten möchte, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

bello. camera ampia. purtoppo le finestre sono interne e non si aprono all'aperto ma solo nell'atrio dell'hotel per cui non si riesce a vedere neppure che tempo fa!

L'hotel si trova in piena City, praticamente accanto al ponte Blackfriars, purtroppo la stazione della metropolitana corrispondente sarà chiusa fino al 2011 e quindi bisogna scendere a Temple che dista circa 10- 15 minuti a piedi..con i bagagli diventa faticoso!! L'albergo ha una bella Hall, il personale è gentilissimo, la zona colazione è luminosa […] ed il servizio veloce e cortese, il breakfast ricchissimo anche se per noi non era compreso nel prezzo della stanza quindi bisogna calcolare circa 20-25 sterline a persona. Ed ora veniamo alle dolenti note, la stanza. Nonostante la catena Crowne Plaza abbia un programma speciale che garantisce un riposo ristoratore agli ospiti, noi abbiamo avuto l'esatto contrario, siamo arrivati a mezzanotte e quando siamo arrivati in camera ci siamo accorti che avevamo una splendida vista sugli....ascensori!!! Mai mai vista una cosa del genere...ma il peggio è stato il momento di metterci a letto, i materassi erano sfondati, molli, insomma abbiamo passato una notte in bianco, quando poi ci siamo accorti al mattino che anche la cassaforte era guasta siamo scesi ed abbiamo parlato col Direttore, il quale, constatata l'assoluta inadeguatezza della stanza e sinceramente dispiaciuto per l'accaduto, ha provveduto con una stanza di livello superiore con tutti i comforts, inutile dire che le due ulteriori notti sono state perfette e tutto il personale si è profuso in attenzioni per noi, resta comunque un minimo disappunto nel constatare che in un hotel 4 stelle lusso vi siano ancora stanze con materassi vecchi, attenzione quindi, provate a sdraiarvi sul letto prima di accettare la stanza!!! 더 보기

Alt var fint på hotellet på nær restauranterne og manglenede wireless internet på værelserne. Restauranterne var for dyre og servicen får dårlig - man finder bedre og billigere restauranter i nærheden. I 2010 må man kunne forvente wireless internet på et 4 stjernet hotel i London - her falder hotellet totalt igennem. Vi stod med 5 PC'er og 1 kabel forbindelse. […] Det er bare ikke godt nok. Derudover kunne man se film på værelserne, men til en pris på 10 pund, hvor billede og lyd kom og gik med mellemrum - her må man igen kunne forvente noget bedre. i'm very pleased with this hotel, one of the best 4 star hotels i have visited. Stayed here for 7 days and got a pretty good deal. The room was big and comfortable, the Wifi and movie packages was included in the price (50 pounds pr night if not included) I would use this hotel again.

Hotellet var veldig ryddig og pent og stemte med bildene som jeg hadde sett på Hotels.com. Hotellrommet var svært behagelig og stort, og samme med badet. Vi hadde en stor dobbelseng, to stoler og et bord, en skrivepult med stol, minibar, tv, to telefoner, en liten sittebenk ved døren, safe og strykebrett. Som velkomstpresang fikk vi Harrogate vann […] med og uten kullsyre i flaske. Det synes vi var koselig. Hotellet ligger flott til og det er lett og komme seg rundt. Vi tok undergrunnen fra Heathrow til Covent Garden som tok 45 minutter. Der i fra tok vi Taxi til hotellet. 더 보기

Fint hotell till bra pris, stora rum. Bra läge nära till buss o tunnelbana (station Blackfriars avstängd till sent 2011 tyvärr). Gångavstånd till downtown men det tar en stund, 30 min.
